Where do you all hail from? I see a lot of UK people and obviously many of us are on the East coast since the server seems to be located in this general area; I get a ping of 11 and I'm on the coast of North Carolina, at least for the time being. My work allows me to live pretty much anywhere I want, so I may be moving soon...perhaps closer to YOU (looks at Travis).

What kind of work do you all do?

I'm a writer/artist/website-designer/SEO asshole/data-entry number-cruncher/investor/art-dealer/musician/...I think that covers most of it. I tend to do a little bit of everything, 80% of which revolves around sitting in front of a computer which I love, but my true passion has to the be the arts, and more specifically, writing. My first novel will be coming out in a month or so under T.P. Brown (title still in the works), so when I start hawking it all over the place, I expect my new friends here to be the first in line to buy it Before this venture, which I've been editing and working on the past 10 months, I wrote for an art magazine here in NC and kept busy with the aforementioned miscellaneous jobs.

Are there any current or ex-military personnel among us?

I've got absolutely no experience in that area, although my Grandpa fought in WWII flying planes and bombing the shit out of people.

Fill me in people! Help me get to know ya, because I think you might be stuck with me for a while. I thoroughly enjoy the camaraderie of this place, and how everyone is so damn polite to newcomers like myself. I was born in Northern California, moved to Washington Seattle area when I was 9, lived there most of my life. Came to Utah for college, still attending. I started off pre-med with focus on chemistry, got slapped in the face by the weight of chemistry and pre-med workload and changed my major to computer science. Got a job in IT at my university, been at it just over 3 months now, and loving it.

Realism-wise, I joined up with the 6th Ranger Battalion in December 2007 and have been in the realism game since. I'll leave the details on how I got from private in the 6th RB to being a major in the 1st MRB for another day.

Ranks, well if you mean the avatar to the left, that's determined by unit promotions, when you've passed your BCT there's a whole topic on "how to get promoted." Signature ribbons are a little thing I came up with a while back with the help of a few others, I believe SSgt. Ford was the first to add ribbons to his signature, Lt. Col. Im new like Brown but I hope to stick around so... I'm Andrew Mottola, m a 17 year old High School Junior. I play lacrosse and im the starting LSM (Defendsive Midfielder) for my schools varsity team. I have some colleges looking to recruit me and I'm am looking forward to play college ball. DOD wise I purchased the game in December 2010 and was a Master Sergeant in the 6th Rangers. Left due to disagreements with the command staff but I will not openly discusse it. Helped start the new 6th Armored Division and was a 2nd Lt and now I'm here and hope to stay.

I'm 27 and live in New Jersey (I wasn't embarrassed about that little fact until recently). I'm a social worker by trade and by heart; it calls to me from the years of care giving that my mother and I put into for my younger brother with autism. I recently graduated with my masters and hope to be working for the state soon. I work now at a group home as a residential therapist working with teenage girls who have a history of trauma.

I joined this unit in April 2010 which was my first foray into any unit and DoD:S as well. Prior to retiring from the 1st back in May of last year, I reached 2ndLt as my highest rank. I've always been a gamer, it was something that I had to do to fit in around this house (with 4 brothers).

I'm 21 and live in Alberta, Canada working out in the tar sands and a tool crib attendant. Easiest job in the world. Watch movies or sleep on the job all the time. I fucking hate my job. Just got accepted to Lethbridge College to do a 1st and 2nd year Auto motive coarse. I've already did my 1st year in BC but I never followed through with it because the money at the mine here was too good to walk away. I love to play guitar and bass. Mostly acoustic. I hope when I go back to school I can get more involved with the unit. Aka join a platoon. I do mumble when I talk, an I'm sorry for all of those that have to listen to me on the mic. I'm trying hard to correct it by myself. It's pathetic =P. I've got 5 piercing and 3 tattoos. This August will be my 1 year with my gf and we've already talked about marriage and being with each other(maybe sound like I'm to young) but fuck it. I want my kids to be 20 before I'm 50 haha. I was born in this city and one day i will die in it. I love it here, not because it is were i grew up but because Nebraska is one of the most recession proof states in the country.

I do plan to go to west point and if that doesn't work out I'll enroll at the police academy here in town. or get a job as a network manager in the city.

I'm a junior (now senior) at the university of missouri, studying russian and journalism. I play music (check out the topic in the mess hall) and I'm gonna give being a musician a go. If it doesn't pan out I'll just work at some local tv station in indiana or ohio or somewhere like that.

I love soccer (football), television, and being places that aren't here.

Hi! I'm 19 years old and was actually born in Greensville, SC. I have moved around a lot since then and my family now lives in Lafayette, LA. I went to Lyman Ward Military Academy half way through my Junior year of high school and graduated from there. I am Tyler Dillon, I'm 36, and I live in Colorado with my wife. I was born in Washington State, lived in San Diego for 6 years, and have been in Colorado for 5 now. Bought a house and put my wife through grad school. I recently worked at a call center as a supervisor until God smiled on me and I got laid off. I've applied to grad school, and I want to get my masters in Higher Education so I can work in a college as an administrator. I've had 6 knee surgeries, which I still feel the effects of today.

I like to cook a lot. I am also having a completely irrational love affair with my Kindle Fire.

My experience with realism is this unit. My experience with DODS goes back to the 4th season of CAL where I played some extremely good players and had a lot of fun.

I quit playing DODS for over a year because my wife and I started coaching 15 year old girls' volleyball. There will be no pictures posted of said girls as there are plenty of you who need FAP-fodder, because apparently you don't know how to find good, free pr0n.

My favorite drinks are Tulamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Sailor Jerry rum, Boddington's beer, and when I feel like eating Mexican food, Bud Light with Lime.

My name is Alexandre Arsenault and I'm 24 years old. I live in the city where I am born : Quebec city, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. I usually speak french so pardon the few mistakes I make when I speak english. I'm finishing a bachelor degree in geography at Laval University in Quebec and, if the student strike finally ends, i'll be beginning a master degree in environmental science in September. I currently work for Quebec's government (Environment and sustainable development) as a field technician and as a cartographer for issues related to climate change (yes, those changes exist!).

I'm moving up in a house with 4 of my university friends in a month and a half. Next step will be moving up with my girlfriend but we aren't there yet.

For my "career", I plan to work and live in the North of my country and as deep in the forest as possible. My objective is to not be able to see or hear any neighbours. My girlfriend actually has the same plans so its perfect for what I aim in the future.

I'm also a scout leader, which is not a job as I'm not getting paid but just being able to go in the woods as often as I want and for several days without paying anything is a pay for me. I've been doing this for 6 years now and this year is my last year. With the master degree coming up, I won't have enough time for that if I wnat to continue to be a significant part here in this unit.

I've been in the 1stMRB since the beginning of March 2012 and its my first realism unit. I discovered what a realism was after joining up and I like it a lot. It gives a whole new dimension to DoD, and well, the unit community is just incredible!!

Name's Justin Pangilinan (Pahn-ghe-lee-nahn), and I've been playing DoD:S and been with the unit for a little over a year now. For the past couple months, I've been away from the game, spending more time working the skin off my bones and playing World of Tanks (Lorenzo_Ruiz on there) but plan to eventually be active again.

I'm from the Philippines and I graduated from my local university with a BA in Government and International Politics (fancy way of saying Political Science) and as of right now have been rejected by the Forest Service, FAA, Navy, and Air Force for either being too qualified or under-qualified to be a lowly secretary.

Gaming wise, you will hate me because I scream like a little girl into the mic whenever I get killed but some people seem to find it funny that a Staff Sergeant screams like that so cool, whatever. I'm into Japanese Anime (if you couldn't tell) and in my spare time when not playing video games I'm working on roleplay stuff, like right now writing up a fictional modernized battlecruiser.

The name is Alexander Giovannoli, as you will hear many call me Gio because well Giovannoli is a name that people cant wrap their heads around. I was born in Veneto, Italy just north of Venice. I moved to America when i was 3. I lived in North Jersey for about 2 years and then moved down to Pennington Nj, just 15 minutes away from Princeton. I am 19 years old and I attend Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. I am studding film there to be a director and screen writer. Right now Im working on two films one I think I posted on the forums some place. And the other a friend and I are working on about a super soldier virus, kind of like zombies but stronger and more bad ass. The part to the movie that I thought of mostly was how it would be filmed. And most of the film with be from the PoV of the main 'zombie'.

As you can tell I can speak a little German but it won't make sense because i'm 3rd generation italian. I forgot to tell you the name of the town which is Tallmadge. As for work I do nothing unless you count nothing as yard labor then i do yard labor. I join the unit on my 16th birthday and have seen alot of good people leave and join this unit. I have a weird tendency to hit my face when i'm exicted and isn't very useful in a realism. Oh im 6'4" and have a beard at 16 so yeah i'm awesome. When people can't say Cevasco I go by Tabasco or Cerveza(spanish for beer). I also collect WW2 uniforms. I currently have an m1 helmet and a m43 uniform.I have 2 dogs, a 10 year old cockapoo named skipper and a 1 year old shihpoo named Sasquatch but we call her Sassy.
