How to get your Steam ID for Day of Defeat: Source

If you are having trouble retrieving your Steam ID, or just don't know how, follow these directions.

These are posted directions on finding your Steam ID. Follow these directions as follows:

1. Launch Day of Defeat: Source
2. Connect to any game server that is not created by you, or on a LAN (Local Area Network)
3. Open your console (~) and type "status"
4. Copy next to your name the information provided, for example," # 2 "Barneby Sax" STEAM_0:0:7654321 00:21 40 0 active 100.0.0.1:27005"

We will need Barneby's number: STEAM_0:0:7654321. Please post a reply below with your Steam ID.

If you cannot open your console, please make sure it is enabled. To do this, simply go to options, keyboard, advanced, and check the box by "enable Developer Console".
