The problem is, when you are on welfare, getting something for nothing, and eating better than our service people do, you will vote for the candidate who promises to give you more welfare so they can get elected. Thus the conflict of interest.

The meat of this argument is that you basically want to take the right to vote away from the poor. Why stop at just welfare recipients? Why not just make it so that the top maybe 20% of the population are the only people that can vote? You know, since the poor don't know any better.
