I download the 14.4 driver update and I was in the process of installing it when the installation BSODed my computer. The only way to return my computer to function use was to use a system restore. I have looked far and wide among the internet and can't find a single mention of this happening to anyone else during the installation phase. The BSOD mentions page_fault_in_nonpaged_area and the file name atikmdag.sys, I have not been able to read the referenced memory files in the crash normally displayed at the bottom because the BSOD is normally to quick for me to read. I would post my dump file but I don't know where to find it. If someone could point me in the direction of the dump file is normally placed I can try to post it for everyone to see here.
