my recent purchases, and why i now love amazon
McKenzie 1st MRB replied to Takel 1st MRB's topic in Mess Hall
Well I currently am STILL waiting on Arkham City which was supposed to have been delivered by November 8th, but whether that's Amazon or the US Military Postal Systems fault, I'll never know. That's IF I ever see Arkham City.... -
Imagine 5 angry DI's in your face, screaming at the top of the lungs, already pissed off because they are lacking of sleep and some kid just woke them up for no reason. The pucker factor went to 11, if you catch my drift.

Reminds me of the old Boot Camp stories... In USMC boot camp, due to the amount of inane bullshit you go through, and the repitiion, it's not uncommon to be standing guard duty (like they do every night) and here some one yell in their sleep "AYE AYE SIR!" or some such... However my story is a little different According to the guards on T-9 (Training Day 9, 9 days after we met our DI's for the first time), I arose from my deep slumber, and somehow managed to walk my way down to the edge of the squad bay, where the Drill Instructors Hut was. No one stopped me, figuring if I was gonna go bother the DI, I had a damn good reason. I apparently made a facing movement towards the DI Hut Door, banged on it very loudly three times, and yelled at the top of my lungs "GOOD MORNING GENTLEMEN!" then proceeded to turn back, go back to my rack and fall asleep. The poor kid standing guard duty, they thought it was him and tore him apart. I awoke to them screaming, and I was half in and half out of my rack, with no recollection how I got there. To this day, I have no idea what spawned it, but it was pretty god damn funny when the kid told me the story the first time.

Let's Welcome Baseball to the 21st Century
McKenzie 1st MRB replied to Parker 1st MRB's topic in Sports Talk
I ate a hot dog with Bud Selig at a restaurant near my house. Interesting guy, but then I am not much of a baseball fan. In any case, Go Brewers. -
Wisconsinites are among the first line if defense.....or the initial invasion wave, depending on Americas mood on a day to day basis .haha

Steve Jobs was not a technical wizard, nor was he a computing sorceror, or any electronic/magic hybrid of any sort. What the man WAS, is a master of marketing. He had a vision for getitng people to feel like they NEEDED to get the newest item, despite it being almost exactly the same except 1 or 2 changes, and being 5 times more expensive. Marketing Genius, not a Technical One.

Sorry, Tom Brady might be the "greatest" right now stat's wise, but I personally think that Rodgers is the greatest QB in the league right now. The man knows how to run a team, and has a super bowl in his third year as starting QB, and is on track for another one. Do not get me wrong Brady is a good QB, but I think that Rodgers will surpass him in time.

If you like Half Life, and want a good laugh, look up "Freeman's Mind" on Machinima. It's basically the internal monologue of Gordon Freeman through out the first game. It's fucking HILARIOUS.

If you can, take a screenshot of your Task Manager while you are running DOD:S, as well as the Performance Tab, lets see if something is eating up your resources and killing your game.

Thank you Kirk for solving it, I was actually a little worried no one would get it . I don't care if you solve it, it just means more fun for everyone . As for YOUR riddle The answer is with the mother. The math adds up, the child is not born yet .

Thanks guys, it means a lot to those who serve to see this kinda support. This day is to commemorate those warriors in the past who have all done their part. I would like to say a special thanks to my Grandfather McKenzie, who served in WWII (passed away), my Step Grandfather who served with the Green Berets in Vietnam, training the Montangards (spelling?) , the mountain people of Vietnam to fight the NVA and the VC. I'd also like to send a thanks to my father, who served in Desert Storm with the III Corps Phantom Command, as a tank commander during the conflict in the 90's. Thank you to all over

Yeah, I am a bit of a C&A fan myself. I have a Mosin Nagant, a Swiss Mauser, an M1 Garand, and Enfield. I still need an M1 Carbine, a Springfield and a Kar98K as well as an Arisaka to complete the World War II set. And yeah, a lot of Polymer GUn Owners like to stick to their kind, but I don't midn rubbing elbows with classic gun owners .

See I'm the flip of your opinion, the 1911 was never comfortable for me. I have a wide hand with long fingers, so the narrow frame of the .45 single stack always felt skinny in my hand and I felt like I was squeezing the gun to much. With the wide grip of my 22C, so I can get my hand around it with out feeling all ham fisted with it. Throw in the fact that I have will get a surefire for the front of my GLOCK (the trigger frame is built for attaching under mounted accesories, with the squared off frame). All in all I am a total GLOCK Fanboy, but I have respect for the 1911 as well. I just don't like em as much. The CZ-75 is an amazing gun, and I know Israeli Weapon Industry (maker of the Baby DEagle) are releasing a Baby Deagle in .40 cal that is based of the CZ-75 frame. So keep an eye out with that As for national reciprocity, that's a dream that I am not holding my breath for. I am just happy that Wisconsin is the 49th state that has CCW passed, it's a big win for us from Winsconsin .

I gotta give it to HBO. Between Band of Brothers, THe Pacific, Gen Kill, Sopranos, Six Feet Under, etc. It's got a lot of star liners. AMC is good though, I love Walking Dead and Breaking Bad
