I laughed so hard at that I had to show the lady. She laughed out loud as well.

I need to talk to you about that, Sir.

A little reason goes a long way Major. Thanks for putting it realistically on the table like that.... I bought it about 6 months ago, and I'm not angry!

So - this morning I woke up with 2 options... Option1: get up, drive 2 hours to view the professional MX at RedBud today.... a sport that is near and dear to my heart - virtually the only sport I follow these days. Option2: get brewing! I've had my materials to get a nice summer beer brewed for a few weeks now. I went with Option 2 - that's why it's 9:30am, I'm on my second homebrew and am about ready to begin my mash (to get my malt, to make the beer, yo) If you're in the area - RIGHT NAO - stop by! Have some awesome New Glarus brews with me, or my homebrew, or some slag called 'Coors Light', or just water. Brewing is a lot of fun - but I figure instead of trudging across acres of hills trying to see my favorite rider, I can have this brew done by 12 and sit in the AC and watch the races on tv Is 9am too early to be drinking? ...I didn't think so either!

I speak English (native) German - although very poorly. I used to speak it well... around 13 years ago. Polish - I can tell you my name and ask you how you're doing. I work at a 100% polish place where English is a 2nd language to everyone except me. Sign Language - semi-fluent. My fiancee and I sign on a regular basis - I learned the alphabet as a kid and her grandparents are deaf. The 2nd week we were dating I met her deaf grandparents and wanted to be able to talk to them a bit so I learned more than just the alphabet so I could. Now my fiancee and I use it often, especially in public so we can communicate without many others understanding.

New Headset
Goodwin 1st MRB replied to McKenzie 1st MRB's question in Hardware Guides & Maintenance Questions
I have a Fatality headset currently. Got it for like $35 I think. Works great for all intents & purposes and has taken some good falls from my desk. -
I can't even imagine doing 210... that's like... insta-doom. I can't even imagine doing 150! ....mmmmmm 996... those things are so sweet. If I had the money - I'd be all over it... although I like their yellow the best (and the 1098's look great too, but the rims on the 996 look better): But even then again - if money wasn't an issue... I'd go KTM! My MX bikes have always been KTM... so it seems only right... ... or an Aprilia... damnit. Just when I had gotten over my spring urge to ride on the street.

I just like the more upright seating of the FZ line. It's easier on the wrists, then if you get risers - throw a couple bags on the back and you've got a cross country sport machine with all the power and handling of the R1. I believe the R1 & FZ1 share same engine and braking characteristics, but the FZ1 is just better for longer hauls and is far more comfy. Every guy I know who got an FZ1, has never switched. Those GSX-r's are the fastest damn things however. I knew so many guys back in the day on those things... untouchable. If you want speed and handling, those things rule. For some reason, part of me really wants a Ducati also. Nothing too fancy, an ST-2,3 or 4 would work nicely for me. Something with some horsepower, but again - comfortable for long rides I'm not a fan of their "monster" lines. Those bikes just seem so ugly to me.

That's awesome. My oldest son is a huge car nut, so we go to car shows around here pretty often. I'm always amazed how meticulous guys like you and Hastings are about your cars. My cars engine is covered with 14 years of crap and dust. ha! I love lookin' at 'em, but I'd hate to restore them, I would fudge somethin' up! At a recent car show there was an older Ferrari there, straight outta England or something - the driver cockpit was on the right hand side. If I had to guess because of the stylings I'd put it late 60's through 70's. It had that Corvette Stingray kinda shape to the fenders/quarterpanels. Then the chick who owned it hopped in and got it warming up... sounded so good...

@Hastings: I'm more of a Yamaha guy myself (would love a FZ-1!) @Dillon: Sweet car man. That looks good! Was under the hood all polished and maintained too?

I have a '97 4Runner that does a good job getting me from point A to point B. I stuck in a nice kenwood deck back around Christmas, other than that I'm still using the stock speakers that are 14 years old. My old Tacoma I had (before kids) I always had a nice kenwood deck on board, with 2 Orion 800w amps under the seats to power my Kenwood mids/highs and my 12" (only 1, non extended cab). I used to get all my stuff free. The family business was home/car stereo's/audio - they closed the business about 6 or 7 years ago but my uncle used to let us kids put really awesome stuff in our vehicles so people would ask where we got it and we could promote. I didn't care, because then I just had amazing systems for free! I was excited to get a whole home setup as well, but they closed right around the time I was graduating college so I didn't have a house yet. Oh well, I'm too old for that stuff anymore! Having two kids means you listen to music at reasonable volumes even if you don't want to, ha! I miss getting into stereos - but anymore I try to limit my driving anyway with gas prices so high so I remind myself I wouldn't listen to it much anyway. As far as engine mods, I used to throw all my money into my motocross bikes... which has also gone away since kids

Pennsylvania’s West Goshen police department has confirmed that Jackass star Ryan Dunn’s blood alcohol concentration far surpassed the legal limit when during his fatal collision early Monday morning. Dunn’s BAC measured .196 percent. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is .08 percent. No other substances turned up in Dunn’s blood, however. Through a scene reconstruction, the police department also determined that Dunn was driving between 132 and 140 miles per hour when he lost control of his car and ran off the road. The county coroner’s office previously classified the accidental death to be caused by blunt trauma and the heat of the fire from the explosion caused when Dunn’s 2007 Porsche collided with trees. ---Unfortunate, but that's Darwinism at it's finest. Any idiot who is THAT drunk and gets behind the wheel? Good riddance. A shame for the passenger.

My older XPS 410 won't handle that - otherwise I'd be on that like stink on poo. -
Abusive People on Pub Server
Goodwin 1st MRB replied to Asmaro's topic in Military Police Archives - DoD:S
I too have witnessed Mr.BM get out of hand and have explained to him he needed to shut his yap. I have also silenced him a time or two. Rocketdude88 has always been quiet when I've played with him however. I too have spoken with pubbers who refuse to play with either of them in the server, such is their choice. The things we don't need are comments such as "seems as if he's been knighted by the queen" or other such comments to that effect. No one is above all reproach on our servers but if a person has been cleared of hacking a number of times, it's redundant to continue beating the issue. Keep taking demo's and if you catch anything blatant then post it up - but if you think it's 'maybe, maybe not', perhaps discuss it with someone and see what they think before posting it. Watching demo's of a good player (while exciting) gets old when you're constantly having to clear them of hacking. If the abuse continues, please take a demo of it, or record the chat logs or what have you. Again, I personally have seen Mr.BM be a total asshole a number of times, but silencing him usually did the trick and he'd get the hint. I've also had to kick him before which also settled him right down. If it's becoming a really routine issue, then something more can be done. More often then not, they seem to go on without issue when I'm in the pub. Just my $.02, but please lets leave the snide comments out of the thread. -
There was nothing left of the car. The photos he posted a few hours prior showed them all drinking. I sincerely feel for his family and friends, but if he was driving drunk... well, that says enough. I also feel terrible for the passenger who was apparently burned so badly it has been a tricky task to identify the body.

My New Graphics Card
Goodwin 1st MRB replied to Griswold's question in Hardware Guides & Maintenance Questions
Yea, it sounds like a driver issue to me (try updating) Although, keep in mind DOD:S is an ancient game really. It's not going to be 'amazing', ever. Regardless of your video card. It's a bad game to make that comparison on, and that's probably why you saw some increases playing a newer game, but none in DOD:S. -
Shit man, get me the recipe to their mix.... and the sugar/cinamon pretzels please.... any time I see an Auntie Anne's I must buy those sugar/cinn. bad boys.
-
Yea, was watching some stuff about it way back when. The song, recording, and video filming took all of 1 weekend to complete it ALL. Pretty impressive.
-
The original reason I got into DoD way back in 1.3 was because I watched one of my good friends go 72-3 on Kalt. Because of that I said "I want to to do that!" and I started playing. I've never come close to that score, but he was so fun to watch play. He quit playing a few months after that and never went back. Sad.

As Skip used to say... 'want a promotion, grab the lotion', thank goodness I've got stock in Vaseline & Jergens.

Okay, So my fiancee is all hot & bothered about getting married even though it's not for another 1.25 years. She's been keeping a blog about it actually... and updates it all the damned time. Well, she picked out songs for us to play she thought were meaningful for us... I'm sure this has been posted here before, but... here is one of the best songs ever!!!
