Don't make me break out my Black Lotus and show you how vintage players roll... okay, I don't have one. However, my woodshop teacher had one (or a few?) back in the day.. they were worth some coin last I knew.

I haven't played in a LONG time, and even then I only ever played once, probably around 12 years ago. I still have my cards though, oddly enough. Sitting in a box out in the garage... Dobbles used to play - but his thousands of dollars of nice cards he had got stolen from his car one night.

Yea man, from some people I've been told he'll plead it down, and will get a 'slap on the wrist'.... but it could've been much worse. What an idiot. That kid is an idiot on the track too.... in his 125 days he was screaming fast and had so much talent. Now? While he might turn a fast lap or two, on any given weekend there are a handful of other guys who can go every bit as fast - and I'm glad for that. He thinks he's the greatest rider ever... maybe on a 125... That crash with Reed last week? Come on, one of these days he's gonna fucking hurt or maim someone pulling some stupid shit. Reminded me of the crash with RC when he put his front wheel in RC's back. He's dangerous and stupid.

I didn't realize it was this weekend... I just asked the gf if she'd like to go to St.Louis (kids are on their visitation with mom this weekend) - she said "I don't care...". Maybe if we can get tickets we'll see you down there I gotta find out if my race buddy from Arkansas is going... I haven't seen last weeks race but heard it was pretty crazy.

My sincerest condolences to your family... You will all be in my prayers.

LOLOL - I"M OLD GREEEEEGGGGGGG -
That's what I figured you meant by a breakdown - I guess that 2nd video just wasn't my cup of tea. I didn't hear a 'breakdown', but I just skipped through it - I couldn't take much of that.
-
What exactly do you mean by 'breakdown'? Because based on the song you posted, I don't get it.

It's been a while since I was drawing. It had been around 6-8 years since I stopped when I drew these two (also, these were just a bic mechanical pencil on copy machine paper at work): This was something a guy I worked with requested. I have yet to finish it - as I suck at drawing people. It's pretty far from completion and has sat untouched for about 1.5 years. And I hate the way pencil art turns out in pictures. The lead always is too shiny, or there are parts that just don't show up in photos like they are in real life. But oh well.

Guiness as well. 12-er was only $10 at the local grocery store so I picked it up. Wish my homebrew was ready (a smoked porter) it would've been perfect! I won't be drinking till my boys go to sleep however.

Happy St. Patty's day all. I bought some guiness yesterday, and totally wasn't thinking about today, ha!

Regarding any Server Lag issues
Goodwin 1st MRB replied to Parker 1st MRB's topic in Known & Resolved Issues
I just figured I would let you all know that today our pub has died a couple times. I know, I know, you hear about it enough, but I figured I should alert you guys just in case. I played for a bit in the early AM (around 8:30-9:30), and there were a few big burps of lag felt server wide (everyone would freeze in place for around 2-3 seconds) then be fine (not rubber-banding, but stopping in place). We had around 8-9 people at that point and the pub was gaining some steam, then I got the 'connection interrupted' error and was frozen and I figured it was the server restarting or something - there had been some pretty bad hiccups of lag prior to that, so I didn't think much of it. I left for around 3 minutes, came back and all was good once more, but the pub was empty for a considerable time. Then Elf and I played for a bit, and a couple more joined in, so I took off (there were random burps of lag here and there, but fairly rare, and not consistent). I just joined up around 11:35 or so (CST), and there were around 4-6 people in the pub (St.Denis included) - we were goofing on Donner, then there were some burps of lag again - one that lasted upwards of 8-10 seconds (showing the 'connection interrupted' error). That burp caused St.Denis' game to crash as well as another person to get booted due to timeout. The game resumed normal play for about another 3-5 minutes, then the server went down entirely again. *EDIT: Went back in the servers around 12pm - there were a few big spikes of lag again with the 'connection interrupted' error and the countdown timer - everyone was affected. -
One good reason why you should show some respect!

I agree. Little shit wanted to start a fight and got his ass handed to him. Good for the big guy. Dangerous slam to the ground, but the little guy got what was comin. -

I used to golf around a few times per year. Been that way most of my life. Took some lessons when I was a kid because I lived a mile from a golf course. I can go out and shoot par, or there-abouts without too much issue. Somedays a bit better, some days worse. About 85% of the time, I shoot a stroke or two better every year I go. I'm not diminishing the skill it takes to shoot par on a professional level course with amazingly long par 5's, tricky landscapes, etc. But... on your average golf course, I'm your average close to par player. Not the best player on the links, but not the worst by a mile. Also, muscle memory plays into golfers swing a ton. In fact I would guess their swing is about 90%+ of muscle memory, very little 'outside influence' to their swing except for maybe the lay of the ball in the grass on a hillside or something. Outside of their swing - really - what else is there? Wind? Lay of the course? "Professional Golfers" get paid to golf 8 hours a day, every day. They have to 'walk' the course - gee, tough. They hit a stationary ball, in the same manner they've hit hundreds of thousands of them over an entire lifetime of play, with a coach correcting their movements most of the way, so their muscles pretty much have it down pat. Their swing is virtually the same every time. I'm left wondering how skilled do they have to be? If you paid virtually anyone, to practice golf as much as a professional does - they could do it. There's nothing 'special' about them, they just practice more than others. Now, take a guy who hits a ball traveling at 95 mph, and has to hit it with enough force to completely redirect the movement of said ball (which is curving, and turning, and moving in the air) with a bat that is around the same size in width as that moving ball, and that batter can manage to 'place' that ball (which is moving, curving, going 95mph) to different areas of the field depending on best outcome for the team, or that batter has enough power to put it over the fence! That requires muscle memory - yes, however it also requires amazing hand-eye coordination. Some people, if you have them bat every day, all day, they'll never get there. They simply can't do it - their brains aren't wired that way. There's really very little about a golf game that can't be learned/trained with enough practice. It can be pricey to play though, prohibiting most 'weekend warriors' to put in that time of play & practice required. There's a lot of factors as to why people are not professional golfers, none of which really have to do with skill. Golf is on par with knitting really... once you learn the movements, and your body gets good at them (muscle memory) you become 'good'. Ta-da. You get 'faster' at knitting the more often you do it, you shoot a bit lower at golf the more you do it! It's the mans version of knitting!

That kid is a leaper for sure, pretty damned impressive. While I don't care much for basketball these days (used to be a big sports fanatic all around until early-mid high school), it sure is impressive to see something like that. You guys keep saying "well, he's basically 6' tall", well that doesn't matter. The guys you see in the NBA are 6'5"+ typically, they're all tall sons of bitches! While you think 'well, 6" difference... that's not THAT much...', but go stand next to someone 6" taller than you and re-evaluate your thoughts. Yea, that guy is short by NBA standards, and he's got a lot of ups. I knew a guy in hS who was 6'6" (what I am now, but wasn't back as a freshman) - he had a vertical leap of less than 5". No lie. No matter how hard he tried to jump, he just failed. We'd always laugh about it because he was so tall but sucked so bad. I like playing pickup games of basketball, but don't like watching the NBA (or college). Also, ESPN has sports all jacked up. Poker? Not a sport. Bassmaster? No way. They probably call Billiards a sport too! I know this could be hotly contested but... I don't even consider golf a sport. It's fun to do, and some guys are good at it, but it requires no real amount of skill like other sports.

Oh no! We must leave this socialist nightmare!

I was on unemployment for a year. Am I fat? Lazy? Do all people on unemployment feel they're entitled to healthcare? I was on unemployment, and have 2 kids as a single parent. I use state aid to get my kids the healthcare they need and require. Am I fat, and lazy and misusing tax-payers money? Now I have a full time job, a part time job, and probably picking up another part time job, but I still can't afford health care for my kids because my work doesn't provide it, and neither do any of my part time jobs. So I am continuing to use state aid. I also use state aid to pay for my kids daycare so I CAN work. But apparently that's being fat, lazy, and abusing the system right? Shit like this is why we're in the hole we're in. Yes, there are people who abuse the system, but it's the lack of understanding how things really work and the quick finger pointing to others that's the fucking problem. People these days always think they have the answer, and they're never part of the problem. I have no problem paying my taxes because I know there are single parents with kids like myself who are HARD WORKING, NOT FAT, AMBITIOUS, INTELLIGENT and CAPABLE who need to use unemployment because THE ECONOMY SUCKS. You wanna point the blame? Start looking at the start of the shitty economy... everyone trying to act like they have money when they don't, our governments poor decision making, and plenty of other things are FAR more to blame than people suffering because of a bad economy. As one of those 'fat & lazy' people you named, I'm pretty offended. -
Yeaaaa!! Happy Birfday
