  1. but then who will control that mine!? OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THE TOUGH QUESTIOn!
  2. This guy is the biggest douche on the planet. half the shit he was spouting off about was incorrect and could only be construed as 'correct' if someone was to take certain situations and sentences stated completely literal - which the very constitution he was quoting was not written in a literal way, so why should the meanings applied to it be taken literally? They shouldn't. He says: "You supposed to answer these questions, you know that - right?" - wasn't this guy quoting his constitutional rights earlier? Apparently he doesn't know the 5th amendment? Ignorance of the bullshit he is spewing is no excuse. This guy is beginning to sound like a full on idiot. He also says: "your covering up your nametag aren't you" - is he serious? There will be a number on file about the incident, which he can obtain ALL copies from the police station which list in full the name of each officer on the scene... ignorance is no excuse. No wonder she looks at him like he's an idiot - she was probably thinking the same thing I was: "you fucking moron, all the officers names will be all over this report which you can get FOR FREE at the police station". At around the 5 minute mark he's interfering with the police while they're performing their standard procedures - I hope this guy realizes that interfering with the police is an offense and they could have 'touched him' had they wanted to and been within their legal rights to do so. He wouldn't 'own' anyone. All he did was throw around some big words and pretend to be more knowledgeable than he really was. I fucking hate douchebags like this - would love to see him get punched in the dick, a lot. Then tazed, then deported to whatever 3rd world fucking country he wants to claim if he's so happy not to be an American.
  3. x2. but if you really want something fun? Star Wars the Old Republic!
  4. Merry Christmas to all of you. I sincerely wish you all the best today - and I challenge you to go out and do something awesome for someone else today. While we're all worried about what we'll get and if it will be what we want, remember there are folks out there who've just lost their family in a tragic accident, or who have no home and will get no gifts. There were children who are part of a group of kids that get gifts donated to them because they live in families that can't afford them - they asked for 'new underwear' this year because that was what they wanted more than anything - not toys or games or money, just clean clothes that they could wear without the constant reminder of how rough they have it. In my opinion, no child should ever have to ask for that but it happens. Remember our fallen veterans - who gave all so that we could have these moments to celebrate and their families who gave that one special person so the rest of us could continue to be in this wonderfully free country we call home. Go be as merry as you can - put aside everything and go out of your way to give others the experience that you have; a Merry Christmas. Give to those without, and receive freely - it will be worth it every time. So Merry Christmas to all of my friends in the 1st MRB; eat well, cheer and be merry.
  5. Holy fuck man, how realistic are you looking for? I didn't find it cartoony at all. WoW? Now THAT Is cartoony... SWTOR? No way.
  6. Don't hate & Don't QQ when we roll your blue sabered ass.! lol
  7. http://www.swtor.com/guilds/237068/pure-pazaak That's the guild I'm in. I'm having some issues loading the game currently, hoping they can fix it by release. Beta was awesome!
  8. That's not even 1/5th as cool, and looks like garbage I just shat out. ...nerd.
  9. I played a few times - but it was riddled with issues. Kind of neat - but quickly boring.
  10. ^^ this. Hell, at work I even have a thing of instant coffee... (nasty) - but it gets the job done!
  11. I can't imagine how frightening, and exhilarating at the same time this race would be... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TN3MFLwlsEg...player_embedded There have been a lot of fast guys who have lost their lives there...
  12. Congrats guys! Very cool event Cast They probably are dreaming of skyrim right at this very moment....slaying dragons and such.
  13. If they did that, along with calling people who gave a shit and writing letters - things would happen. But it won't - and the politicians know it. People are too lazy to do that - sitting in a park is easy. Figuring out who to contact and barking your way up the chain via letter/phone is hard.
  14. I do NOT like rap. Rap is bullshit music (it's not even music) made by untalented fucks who couldn't rhyme their way out of a plastic bag (but unfortunately that bag isn't duct taped around their neck). Hip-hop is where artists truly stretch their abilities. Hip-hop is good, rap is shit. Jay-Z, Lil' Wayne, whatever bullshit artist comes along as the next great thing can suck it. They couldn't stand next to any of these artists for more than 30 seconds before they'd be outclassed and out rhymed. Blackalicious - Boom. The alphabet, nuff said. This. Is. Hip. Hop. Telling a story - and a positive one at that. This is 'The Coup' by the way. The first time I heard this it hit me like a fucking truck. The story is amazing, the fact it all rhymes? Doubles the impressiveness. You gotta listen to the entire SEVEN MINUTES to get the whole story. Yep, a 7 minute rap that doesn't have 6 minutes worth of chorus. In fact - it's almost ALL rhyme, the entire time. No repetition like you hear out of the modern 'rappers' who can't write more than 5 lines at a time. These guys have a way with words, they've got some really fun songs too. Allow me to expand on The Coups versatility: Who would've thought 'ation' could fit in so many words? Pure comedy! We've all known someone with 'that car', and even then they bring a great point... their car is better than your shoes! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0VQEfbMwb4 How about this fucking song? Amazing. Beautiful message, amazing story-telling. You can see the street, you can see the woman aging and at the end of it all? You feel inspired to go out and follow your dreams; take your life by the reigns and do something with it! Name a modern 'rap' song that does that to you - it doesn't, because rap is shit. Hip-hop is an art, Aesop Rock is what you might call a 'master' of the art, a teacher for others to learn from. All over his rhymes, they're real, earthy and amazing. Educated. Not to mention, he's literally - an artist. He went to art school! Eyedea and Abilities - ummmmm what!? Fucking awesome. Rhymesayers puts out some good shit, unfortunately this artist has passed onto another place, a better one. "It ain't all good, but it's all good enough.." There are other things by Eyedea that are just as sick. He's got it all, from nasty and pretentious to thoughtful and introspective. Amazing what people can do with words. Lets keep it real - family first. Leave it to Atmosphere to keep it real - bringing it on home. I can honestly say this song gives me chills EVERY freaking time I watch it. First time I heard it I wanted to cry - and I'm not afraid to admit it. It's real. That's okay - he can make you feel a bit better with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ey7WyVCE_w...feature=related - or maybe you like to reflect on things, here's another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhlakIjSir0...feature=related I think because of my divorce and the fact that I've given everything in my life for my 2 sons... this song resonates with me. Of course, this one does also: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT0uHleQ7-w...feature=related (mostly because my ex was a crazy fucked up bitch who was suicidal and had thoughts about killing our first born) Brother Ali is some good shit for an albino mu'fucka! Murs - awesome! Doesn't take himself too seriously but writes some awesome shit too. Inspiring song - I have to admit, still get chills listening to this one too. Love it. Sole - of Anticon; What a movement they were/are. You have to give it up for a group of hip-hop artists who band together and make art out of hip-hop. Part of the rules were that the lyrics had to be readable as a poem, because they wanted to make art, not rap bullshit. Meanwhile their songs are intense, creative and vastly different from mainstream bullshit. This is art, this is skill, this is intelligence. This is hip-hop as true art. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkLxEk_9Vjk Where would we be without some of the forefathers? Yea, still standing on street corners rhyming with friends. A little Tribe Called Quest to end this. These are some of my favorites - I said it once and I stand behind what I say - rap is bullshit. Hip-hop is music. Oh, that said, I like those beats! Also this one: - I debated on this one. He is SO political sometimes, and in this song it's frightening. Really gets you into the 'thug' mentality (sad). It's becoming so prominent in America. Sometimes his rhymes are a bit too much for me, this song is... well, frightening in some ways; but it has a message. I'm not sure how I feel about him because he's kind of anti-what I consider hip hop, but he's got a lot of really ridiculous flows and some songs that are so full of truth.
  15. Nothing (and I mean nothing) frustrates me more than the "tea party" and "occupy wall street". I have the pleasure (or perhaps dis-pleasure) of being friends with a mayoral candidate of a fine city of around 30-40,000 people. We've been friends around 13-14 years now... so he knows he can trust me and speak his opinion. I asked him about the occupy movements and this is what he had to say: "It's pathetic, how about instead of occupying things - they get a job? There's no real common theme among them; if there were - people would take notice. But like everything the people do these days everyone has their own spin on it and tries to push their ideas onto it. If they had 1 common goal, or even a strong outline of "this is what we want" then people would care - but the only people who give a shit about them is the media. The politicians don't really care because you can't take them seriously. "occupy this", "occupy that", how about you "occupy a job" or "get a goal" then we'll sit down and talk about it." I'm inclined to agree. How many hundreds of thousands of people can tell you EXACTLY what the Occupy WallStreet (or Occupy anything) is truly about? I'd venture to bet the vast majority couldn't explain it precisely. Tea Party was the same way... the ideas are too big, and too loose. That same buddy of mine said "you could arm 20 citizens with cell phones and have them all call their local office and leave a message on the voicemail - something would probably get done the next day to fix their issue. You could have 200 of the same citizens throw a 'protest' in a local park - and the people at the office won't even give them the time of day." People today are so all about 'me, me, me', and think demonstrating is the best way to get their point across - it's not. They'd be FAR better off calling their local politicians and leaving voicemails and encouraging others to do the same. Start getting your local officials to fight for you against the greater powers and you'll start seeing change. Being jobless sitting in a park taking up public resources (cops) that could be better spent elsewhere actually protecting the city isn't doing anything but accelerating the downfall of this once great country called America. But most Americans are too stupid to realize that and it won't get them the immediate results the media has been spoon-feeding them all these years and may require work and thinking ahead; so the politicians rest easy knowing it will never happen.
  16. I'm in for this... Name: Goodwin Reason: I'm sexy and I know it, but in reality everyone is raging over this game; I digg and I'm down for the cause!
  17. Mac & Tuna have been a staple in our house since I was a little kid. Same thing with sweet potatoes w/ brown sugar & marshmallows! We'll be enjoying that this Thanksgiving. Watermelon & salt? Well... my heart hates the idea, but I'd give it a shot. Chocolate w/ spice? well... maybe.
  18. I'm going to win Season 2. Just FYI. Whoever wants to team with me, let me know now and we'll split it.
  19. LMAO - Yup! Spaten is good stuff. I like their stuff although I don't get a chance to drink it much - their oktoberfest is good stuff. ...well, off to the kegerator for another glass!
  20. While I'm certainly no expert, I like music as much as the next guy. Having only ever recorded in a studio a handful of times, and having done a lot of 'homemade' recordings I'll chime in with what I think would be directional comments; Watch your peaks. There were a few spots where it was clipping; you can always turn it up, but getting loud things to blend together nicely is difficult without seeing a lot of peaking and getting a lot of clipping which makes good music sound bad, and great music sound amateur. Give your instruments some change in dynamic - to help give some depth of sound maybe put certain tracks a little panned left, some panned to the right slightly, this will help it to 'surround' you. Changing their levels and playing with the volume of them will help a lot too; it will give it a more intricate feel/sound as opposed to everything being at the same volume. Also, check out some of the fruity loops things (Arpegiator is one I think?) there are a lot of cool built in tools that really help 'chop up' some portions of the song and find notes that are 'melodic' in nature but make the same repetitive beat sound different every few bars. FL Studio has literally thousands of ways to adjust every little aspect of the music - never be afraid to try that out. People will get bored with the same beat over and over, give it some change - think of it more like a traditional song with a verse chorus and bridge - come up with 2 or 3 beats and blend them together at various places to give it a little 'change' so people don't hit the 1 minute mark and go "okay, next!" I think it needs more on top of the main beat also - the main beat is so overly prevalent it's all you focus on, and it's exactly the same from the first second to the last second. I would done the volume down on that track a bit, and focus more on finding some good melodic basslines to accompany that main beat - then layer in more sound on top of that (similar to that bell/chime thing that faded in and faded out). Build off that beat, but make it just a beat - not the only thing you can hear and focus on in the song. If there are other melodic things playing off that beat, the 'beat' will be heard - even if it's more implied than actually heard/felt; even in house. A great example of my last point is this: Different style of music, sure - but it gets the point across. His clapping isn't really 'the beat', but through his voice you hear the beat. You get this beat in your head going along with his singing; and that's all he's doing! In your music you're giving them the beat so they can clearly hear it - but that doesn't need to be all they hear. Also (lastly) silence is a note. Keep that in mind as well - you can do COOL things with using silence like a musical note in itself. A great example of this: Listen from the 6 minute mark to the end around 7:15 it's built and he's beginning to assault your ears with high amounts of 'silence' input into the song so quickly it becomes so amazing in so many ways. Your brain goes from complete silence to music so quickly you begin to feel like you're going nuts! It's another cool effect to think about with electronic music - when I hear it, it gives me wood if it's used effectively. I chose this piece because it goes beyond using silence as a note, to making silence this ridiculously over-used beast that rips off your ears. I love Aphex Twin. All that said, I thought you had a good thing going, although it's very rough. Keep playing - FL Studio is so amazing you can do so much. You're making me want to play around again... damnit! **EDIT** Your song reminded me of this dubstep song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=135yH1rZHGI But listen carefully for the differences in volume and how the beat 'changes' while the backbone of the song remains fairly the same.
  21. As I know some (if not many) of our members can attest to - military life is hard. I can't even imagine the difficulties faced by our men and women and I would imagine that most Americans cannot either. The idea that any day might be 'the day' is frightening to think about - let alone actually live through - everyday. My family was in the military - my great-uncle (who has passed on), my grandfather (also passed), my uncle, my former brother-in-law and my cousin. I can't think of words to express my admiration, appreciation and gratitude for all of our men and women who have served for this country. One day a year does not seem enough to give proper respect to all who've come before us and protected us with their lives - so I challenge everyone to appreciate veterans any and every time you see one. A handshake and a 'thank you', or even a nod in their direction. They are doing what the rest of us are either too scared, too lazy or too incapable of doing; they are a special breed. Today though, remember our veterans; take the time to fully appreciate them and make sure to thank them for their service.
