  1. I don't use number keys, so I have demo recording bound to keys 9 and 0. It was easy and useful when I suspect people of malicious behavior or when I am about to get "prowned."
  2. IM is soooo 2000. But when I IM'd, I used Trillian.
  3. How is there no sham-wow in there? I'm disappointed with your friends. You should at least tell people "That's what the ladies call me."
  4. Before you look at the card, look at your router. Most newer routers will have packet prioritization. It can give you higher priority on your computer. Check your setup of your router. Or, just post your router model, and I can look it up for you. Linksys/Cisco are the easiest to work on. But, what I would recommend, if you want to ensure you have good games as far as ping, is to set your MAC address to the highest priority. This isn't a big deal because DODS only runs ~10K/sec. There is plenty of bandwidth for anyone else on your network.
  5. Midleton's is without a doubt one of my favorite whiskies. But its an IRISH whiskey. Its just not scotch. Bourbon/American whiskey is single distilled. Scotch is double distilled. Irish is triple distilled.
  6. http://social.entertainment.msn.com/movies...d9-e754e95711fa Apparently the holy and unholy trilogies are coming out on Blu-Ray. Well, this is all good and well, but Lucas is making more changes. Apparently, no more puppet Yoda, Ewoks will be cgi as well (for blinking), oh, and everything Obi-Wan says will now be overdubbed by Ewan McGregor. Nice little quote from Lucas back in the day (in the article):
  7. Ty is the most common. I've had a few wierd ones, as well: Ty-guy, Mai-Tai (she was a really hot asian, and I was "hers"), Calves (I have rather big ones) which turned into OMG Calves finally to OMG. Funny thing is, this was in college, and people forgot the calves part.
  8. Now, I know, if you want to do it right, it involves a lot of steps, blah blah blah. But, if you want a good way to move your DVD collection onto your hard drive (college kids rejoice!), this program is stupidly easy to use. It will take anything from DVD to just about any format you want (mp4, mpeg, avi, divx, xvid, a3c, aac, mp3, including upconverting it to 1080p!). It also takes advantage of multiple cores and has a high-quality function as well as re-sync for if it doesn't come out good the first time. Anyway, use the program. I tried it out and I love it for simple stuff. http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3258827 One thing: NEVER CHECK FOR UPGRADES/UPDATES. It will update it and you'll need a new key for $40.
  9. I had the exact same issue when I was in jail for 3 weeks. By god I earned the nickname "Chinese Handcuff"
  10. Yep, another Deal from Dillon. This video card will run anything you throw at it at 1920x1200 with high levels of detail (highest for most games) and probably pull 200fps in DOD:S. XFX Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express Video Card for $185 - $30 rebate = $155 with free shipping Alright, first off, yes, it does cost $185 up front. However, you get 3 awesome games: Dirt 3 A Coupon (not released yet, but very promising) Total War: Shogun 2 (check how much Yama has played this! Holy crap it must be good!) Figure the games themselves are worth ~$100 on their own. And if you already have one of the games, donate the serial key to the 1st MRB for a recruiting contest. Oh, sorry Canada, you are fucked again. So is England. And every Scandinavian country. So I guess 3 of us could use this. But, its worth it if you need a very, very good card at a great price. I can link some benchmarks for this card if you are interested. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDet...st=Combo.701843
  11. Holy shit you have a lot of hacks. I mean mods. I wonder if one of them got broken with one of the numerous updates. Dear TF:2, While you are a unique game with a big following, quit fucking us over. Sincerely, DOD:S players
  12. Do you have a bunch of add-ons and skins? If so please list them and I'll see what I can do based upon things installed in our pub vs. the private. Also, do you get a specific error message? Is it a HL2.exe crash?
  13. Go here. http://www.1stmarineraiders.com/index.php?...amp;#entry71061 *Edited cause its done better at this link. Thanks Magoo and Teachey!
  14. Life happens. Fill out an LOA if you need it. But its good to know you are going to school and doing well. And dude, as someone who now finds all of this "out of bounds", nail as many of those hotties as you can.
  15. Well, I've gone through 2 betas of DODS. The first was the Source beta back in... well, I think it was 2005. Yeah. Then I played through the transition to the new engine based off of TF2. That was when they introduced Palermo off of the map Salerno. It also broke every config we had. I think that was back in '08. I never, ever played DOD. I played a ton of Rogue Spear, though.
  16. If you want a decent headset, you won't find a better one for the money. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...InvNCjC2SSCNoin Shoot, for this price, buy one for a spare.
  17. I'll have to see if I have any screenshots.
  18. One for kids is coming out.... if the rumors I hear are true.
  19. Well, NDA's are lifted and it was on Regis and Kelli, so I can now share what I've been working on the last few months. http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-200926...tag=mncol;title Its calle TAGG the Pet tracker. Its a pretty cool technology. A combination of GPS and cell phone tech tracks where your dog is and if its out of your prescribed "TAGG Zone." Website is now public. http://www.tagg.com Its actually pretty cool. I may even get one for my own dog (if only I could figure out a way to get one comp'ed to me....)
  20. The 10 movies everyone needs to see, because they are that amazing: 1. Goodfellas - Fuck You, Tony Montana. 2. Ben-Hurr - Monumental movie. Could not be made today - too expensive, long, and big. 3. The Searchers - John Wayne is good and all, but in this movie he was at his best. 4. Rashômon - its cool to talk about the Seven Samurai, but this movie was Kurosawa's masterpiece. 4. The Manchurian Candidate (1962) - Holy crap. Just a good movie with cinematography that makes MEN wet. 5. The Godfather Part II - Part I was awesome, but Part II is even better (amazingly). 6. Casablanca - It looks hokey now, but then you realize it came out in 1942, and written before the US was in WWII, and comes off looking brilliant. 7. Schindler's List - Spielberg became immortal for this 8. Rear Window - Awesome suspense movie. 9. Silence of the Lambs - I'm never going to walk through a prison ever. 10. American History X - This film put Edward Norton on my "Do Not Fuck With" List. Keeping the Faith took him back off.
  21. It was an okay movie, but an amazing book(s).
  22. I'm thinking Wingate is spot on with this one. Download the (awesomely named) Gspot program. It'll identify what codec you need.
  23. www.malwarebytes.org Problem will be solved.
  24. Hop 8 is where you start crossing the country.
