For those of you that were asking about what I did in the Navy, here is the deal:
I signed up for MEPS in 2003 (that was a long as day) and was in DEP for 364 days. On July 14th, 2004, I went into boot camp which was pretty annoying for the most part. After that, I went to IC (Interior Communications Electrician) A and C school. My 1st (and only) ship was assigned to me in March of 2005 (USS Barry DDG-52).
During my stay on the Barry, I toured all over Europe including Scotland, England, France (Normandy and Paris), Spain, Italy, Greece, and Norway (which I liked the best). I was also all over the black sea and Cyprus.
In 2006, we were called into combat off the coast of Israel for 3 months.
I was also on the VBSS (Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure) team. In 2008 we were called to off the coast of Somalia for another combat deployment. We were there for a month.
I got all the way to E-5 within 4.5 years, and I tell you the time that I was an E-3 and E-4 was a pain in the arse. In 2010 I decided to get out and go to college. After that I joined the US Military Vets Motorcycle Club.
And that's about it.
