  1. Kaba, not sure if you're still having this problem, but hop 1 should NOT be 1 39 ms 93 ms 6 ms 192.168.0.1 That's awful. that should be 1ms 1ms 1ms or so. It looks like your router or network card is screwed up and is adding a bunch of latency. Do you have another PC you can try rerunning the tracert from to figure out if it's the router or the pc? What brand/model of router is it? Have you tried a factory reset?
  2. Demon Seed (1977) Trailer: http://youtu.be/lzE6f_DLptE Basically about an evil computerized house that rapes and impregnates a scientist's wife.... Either that or, Cyrus - Mind Of A Serial Killer (2010) Trailer: http://youtu.be/0l6O-YCJNFM A couple of the worst horror films I've ever seen.
  3. This looks quite funny. Shouldn't the guys that put the bomb on him be worried that he'll just follow them around though? I chase Brown while priming nades all the time....
  4. That is awesome! I wish Toronto had elected somebody like that instead of a mayor who campaigned on the promise to end the "war on the car".... Poor car drivers were feeling like the little bicycles were going to murder them i guess.... I don't understand it, probably because i'm what he calls a "Metropass Elite."
  5. Moving things is quite manageable, but stretching would be difficult. If you want to make an object move intact you just group the points and move them by applying a bit of math to the lot of them. If you want to make a tree sway or something then you need to move the points within the group relative to each other by varying magnitudes which would be extremely difficult... though perhaps possible... depends how efficiently they can change their frame of reference (move and rotate the point 0,0,0).
  6. My background image rotates, but this is probably my favourite.
  7. Most small specialist computer parts stores will assemble and test a computer for you out of parts you select.
  8. Ford, that is amazingly awesome. "We're quoting cents not dollars..."..................................
  9. Is anyone else obsessed with TED talks? Here's an interesting one I just watched about the problems with modern city building practices. http://www.ted.com/talks/james_howard_kuns...s_suburbia.html Also, one of my favorite TED talks is this one about teacher-less education. (no TED link for this one, it seems to be busted on their site) Has anyone seen any good ones worth recommending?
  10. Goodwin, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is an awesome recommendation. That book presents a really interesting perspective on the world. I've been obsessing over Asimov's Foundation series and everything by Robert Heinlein lately. Stranger in a Strange Land is interesting. I would suggest avoiding The Cat Who Walks Through Walls, it's a rare miss on his part. Flatland is a good piece of fiction if you're looking for an understanding of higher dimensions through the perspective of a resident of a lower dimension.
