Until a few years ago european fusion test reactors were supposed to go online in 2030. Now with the money problems we'll be lucky to get the thing built within the century. So fission it is.

I was expecting flux capacitors, not disappointed

It's all situational too. If you're in a very hot, humid, jungle, not only do you want the rugged reliability of the AK-47 and it's chrome lined innards, but the heavier caliber bullet can actually penetrate dense foliage and smaller tree trunks. If you're on the march and carrying all your own weaponry and ammo, you would most certainly prefer the lighter M-16 and its lighter round. If you are assaulting at night or sneaking you want a quiet rifle that won't rattle or snap loudly when you hit the selector. And if you were a trained marksman and not just untrained militia, you would choose the M-16 for its ability to place a shot on target consistently at practical ranges. The M-16's also got the straight-body design with raised handle/sights to reduce recoil, a standard these days, the AK-47's firing dynamics are more akin to old style rifle butts with the tendancy to climb.

Some initial thoughts for the debate: I'm guessing the AK must have one hell of a kick with a sub-rifle round versus the bb-width bullet that the M-16 fires. That and low weight must make it less taxing to carry and use. Also, the M-16 has to be more accurate whereas the AK-47 was designated to be used as a hip-fired weapon during a mass mechanized offensive. Also the AK's got that potentially fatal noisy safety selector.

Space Truckers (1996) Director: Stuart Gordon Cast: Dennis Hopper Debi Mazar (tits) Plot Summary: Jack Canyon's one of the few independent space truckers left who owns his own rig. In order to escape a riot at a space-truckstop. accepts an illegal cargo contract to haul military androids. Shit hits the fan. There's space pirates, space trucks, space pigs, and a motorized cybernetic space-wang. My take on it: This thing is b-movie gold. If you're in the mood for some classic sci-fi cheese but require color and a fast paced plot that is actually fit for purpose, you can't go wrong with Space Truckers. Trailer:

Chaplin used to whisper quotes from Fanny Hill a 17th century porn-novel to get his second wife in the mood. </tangent> -But I agree. As a foreigner. Who lived in Canada for a bit. :3

How Star Warsy is this game? Bearing in mind that I think the prequels are all horseshit and don't feel Star Warsy at all. Christmas Special and Ewok Movies > Prequels

After some careful forensic consideration I have the following conclusion: That beaver just got clusterfucked by that bow's secondary under-barrel attachment. Don't fuck with Brown yo.

Listen to Warren Buffet. He says rich should pay ass more taxes and that high tax levels and stuff have never stopped investors from making a safe bet for near assured profits. In fact, just vote for Buffet already, his name's making me hungry. -
I scraped through with 50% on my Afrikaans final in high school so technically I speak it. It's like old fashioned hick-farmer dutch. Dutch is like sloppy, monotonic Afrikaans with bad spelling.

If any of you guys are interested in Jobs' life, check out 'Pirates of Silicon Valley', its up on youtube and is a pretty sweet film. The guy had some serious issues, had a daughter and refused to pay anything despite being a millionaire and weirdly naming the Apple Lisa after her. Even claimed he was sterile so couldn't be the parent -proven bullshit when he had kids later. Eventually let Lisa join the new family. But whatevs people learn and change, he most certainly wasn't the same person that he was originally: not after getting fired from Apple and having Bill Gates to thank for bringing him back. There would have been no Apple if it weren't for Steve Wozniak. There's also a sweet interview on Youtube of him and Bill Gates on stage. You can tell they're both really forwards looking minds. And Jobs' facial reactions to Bill's stories are priceless.

I can believe that North Korean incident -sounds like something that would be kept under official wraps. So much never makes it to the news -going by what I've read of how many naval and aircraft incidents were swept under the covers during the cold war. Ever hear about the Russian nuclear-powered satellite that deviated from orbit, splattering all over northern Canada and was clandestinely cleaned up by a massive international effort? Or, going on an tangent, how the Russians had a network of satellite-killer satellites loaded with missiles and how US intelligence officers claim that they'd cracked the network's codes meaning they were actually under their control? Addendum: Did a bit more research and the satellite was Cosmos 954, and the story eventually did hit the news later on leading to some political fallout (CBC Radio broadcast from 1978): http://archives.cbc.ca/science_technology/space/clips/12848/
