I dont know how many have heard, but since last week Balkan countries especialy Bosnia and Serbia got hit by huge amount of flooding. In Serbia state of emergency is declared. Two cites Obrenovac and Valjevo are completely flooded including half of Serbia. Lots of people volunteered to try and save other cities from flooding. We managed to save city of Sabac for now but in couple of days river Drina will make more problems, while river Sava and Danube will hit Belgrade, probably Pancevo( my city) , Smederevo and everything else that is close to Danube. Im grateful that Serbs havent lost their will to help each other. Old "enemies" like Croatia sent their help which im really glad to see, becouse i kept saying old wars and such need to be forgiven so we can move forward and help each other. Russia, France, Slovenia, Germany ,Montenegro and Macedonia sent their machines ,boats, and professional rescuers. To surprise of lots of Serbs ,America sent their aid with money ( at least thats the information we have) . Unfortunatly politicians in my country especialy those who are leading it at the moment saw this catastrophe as a oportunity to get political points or blame their political enemies for not helping. They are firstly helping those cities who are run by their political parties. For example Paracin is a city on East side of Serbia which is not under SNS( leading party) but its under SPS party, its also hit by floods by nobody mentions it. Our prime minister comes with huge talk wastes a boat that could be used to save 6-7 people. Serbia is being saved by Serbian people or foreign countries not by the people who are leading Serbia.
