  1. When I went to Norway, I got the distinct impression that everyone there was fundamentally weird. Ylvis keep on working to confirm those suspicions Any Massachusites in the unit? Thoughts? I fucking cracked up, but that's also because I was drunk at the time and had some great chicken tacos, so the world couldn't do much wrong for me at the time.
  2. Thanks Johnson! There's also one on Caen if anyone else is ever in need of horse statues.
  3. Okay I can't remember what map has the horse statue. Anybody? This might be a good place too to start a thread where people can post when they can't remember the name of a certain map. But for now, which map has the horse statue on it?
  4. Aw ultra Glad you're okay buddy.
  5. I live in New York bitches. Montrose Ave. in Bushwick. You're here till Saturday Visca? Let's grab lunch on Friday man!
  6. Hey folks, I know I haven't been super active on the forums lately, but I've been in the pub a good amount, and it's been good playing with y'all again, after a while. Anyway, I moved to New York at the end of August to pursue my musical passions and lo and behold I've booked a pretty decent gig at Googie's Lounge, above the Living Room at 154 Ludlow St. for next Tuesday (Oct. 22). So if any of you guys are in/around the New York City area next week it'd mean a lot to me to see you folks there. Show starts at 8:30 PM. For you newbies, I'm a singer-songwriter, and I used to post some videos here on the forums back in the day. You can check out my songs at my soundcloud and my videos here I think this one was Parker's fav: Take care y'all! *giraffe noises*
  7. Why isn't "Jizzing uncontrollably all over everything until you collapse into a crumpled pile of sperm and tears" an option Branem? You know this is my approach.
  8. Andersonsssss Daniels Juniorrrrrrr
  9. Hopefully I'll be playing around Missouri/surrounding states by the fall. I'll post any announcements like that on my Facebook page
  10. I just needed a new name for the new recording- I call it either name when I'm performing.
  11. Sat down with my mic two days ago and knocked together this recording of my song In the North (Honor) for y'all. Let me know what you think
  12. Haha Wells... You like pizza Arevicci? Just to keep this thing going: I'm a 21 year old man from Missouri who's currently living in London, on an internship with CNBC. I'm heading back to the states in two weeks though, and I'm going to finish up my bachelor's in Journalism over the summer, along with a bachelor's in Russian. I'm a musician, and I'm going to record my songs at a local studio over the summer then hopefully start touring around Missouri playing music. If the music thing doesn't pan out after a year I'll probably face reality and get a real job as a local news producer, which is what I'm trained in. I love soccer, Peru (I'm Peruvian) and right now I really want some taco bell. I started playing the original Day of Defeat on my dad's old computer when I was in high school, then I picked up DoD:S in my senior year or so. I had to quit playing, because I needed a macbook for school and couldn't play my games until steam came to OSX. I joined the unit in January of 2012, and had 5 great months before resigning. Now I'm in BAR, which I really enjoy, because I love the community that's formed around the 1st MRB. My real (sur)name is Martinez, which a lot of people who've been in the unit for longer than 4 months call me anyway. The giraffe thing is from a realism when me and some other guys called our team "team giraffe," but it's also because I'm a giraffe.
  13. Here's a bit of background on Stalin's history with the Chechens and part of why they hate Russia so much. Russians hate them for terrorist attacks such as the Beslan school massacre in which more than three hundred people were killed by Chechen and Ingush terrorists, including more than one hundred children. Both sides have committed atrocities.
  14. But I'm pretty sure this thread is about the explosion at the marathon and the subsequent manhunt for the suspects- not our personal freedoms. So, in relevant news
  15. Lol the whole social compact that our society is based on- that all human civilization is based on actually- is that you give up certain freedoms when you decide to live among other humans, in exchange for protection. If you are so upset that the authorities searched a few homes to catch a terrorist, and you're prepared to compare that to the patriot act, maybe you'd be more suited for life as a hermit on an island in Micronesia somewhere. Honestly the people most concerned with the government infringing on their rights at every turn are usually the last ones the government is interested in anyway. Also whenever I see that Henry quote on an Internet forum I can't help but laugh.
  16. +1000 The people in charge used reasonable means to stop a murderer who was a public threat.
  17. The fact that everything isn't always as it seems doesn't mean that most things aren't usually as they seem. Of you see a man trying to take a purse from an old lady, it COULD mean that the old lady stole it from him in the first place, but it probably doesn't. Suspect is alive in police custody in any case.
  18. What the hell is considered legitimate police provocation for tossing an explosive at them? I'm not buying the argument that these two brothers were pursued as scapegoats and just happened to be heavily armed. Your argument insensitive to the victims of the bombing.
  19. Here's the information, so nobody gets confused. Suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev, born in 1993 in Chechnya, legal resident of the US, has lived in Cambridge for years- at large. Reportedly ran over his brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26 years old and born in Russia, when fleeing from police, killing him. Police have a house in the Watertown area surrounded and the cities of Watertown, Cambridge and Boston have been locked down.
  20. They were the Bloody Mummers, or as they prefer The Brave Companions in the books. How did they do with Hoats lisps? I couldn't stop laughing whenever I saw his lines written down, even at work or in class I'd chuckle a bit. They just got rid of him and the other mummers. Fucking lame
  21. Bow guy is the bastard, IMDB has him listed as such. I thought the credits song clashed so sharply with the episode, really didn't like that at all. Also, not to bothered by Barristan the Bold revealing his identity early on, because everybody knew he was Whitebeard anyway. Pretty bothered by the lack of a beard on Edmure Tully, and his whole dynamic with Brynden. That's not how I imagined that family. Seeing Jojen and Meera just made me want to know more about Howland, which just makes me more irked that Martin takes so long to write his books. It's like he doesn't have a narrative arc in mind and is just going with the flow.
  22. I know the amount of words it takes to say this. 11
  23. I have to fight off the hyenas when scavenging a kill.
