I think what bothered me the most about the Pacific was the characters story arcs. i found them to be diffcult to follow, whereas like someone said, BoB did a great job of connecting the veiwer to the characters. whenever someone died, especially one of the Tocoa men, it was heartbreaking. Like someone else said though too, i thought the pacific does a better job showing how hard the war was for those marines (with the exception of what the 101st went through in the Battle of the Bulge) and the costs and effects war has on the body and mind.

I agree Foy is a great episode, but its a close second to carentan, after that its replacements. i love the action in all of those. the sounds of the MG42 firing in Carentan gets me wet.... On that note, think one of my favorite things about DOD:S is that the do the sound effects of the different weapons PERFECTLY. anyone else, enh enh? nice poll LTCOL, we should add another one for favorite episodes! idk if you can do that but that would be cool. I'm all about band of brothers. the Story was just more rich overall.

Marathon on Spike TV if anyone wants to check it out. Limited commercial interruption. ALways love when they do that on Veterans' Day. I own the series on DvD myself, watched it like 100 times. Whats your favorite episode?

xD Jabs Honestly man, dont get ecstasy. me and my gf tried them and neither of us were a fan. Any condom with lube might make it a bit better, maybe try trojans new bareskin condoms? But if she doesnt like condoms, there may be no condom solution. Side note, Plan B is pretty effective. In the few scares that i've had, ive used Plan B and no ones gotten pregnant! so don't stress out too much. And also, my girlfriend is on birth control, but we still use condoms, cause like its been said, even BC is only 99% effective. Personall i think having a kid would ruin my life at this stage, and i wont accept even a 1% chance of fucking up. So even when shes on BC, if youve been pulling out, you might wanna keep doing that, just to be on the safe side. just get her used to blowin it in her mouth

Congrats Gardner! Well deserved!

Oh yeah. Its so loosely enforced in montreal especially. i got bud within an hour of landing in Montreal and EVERYONE there smokes. Our landlady, her neighbors, their friends, people walking the streets at night, people following the zombie we went do. walkin through the middle of the city in broad daylight in a busy hour and no one did or said anything. it was magical

You can't be arrested for being high. There's no way for a police officer to prove that you were high unless you fail a field sobriety, which isn't hard to fool if you're high. There's no crime for "being high in public". Public intoxication exists, but that law is designed and intended for alcohol use. A cop can't knock on your door, know that you're high, and arrest you for it without proof that you were smoking weed. I.e. physical evidence (actual quantities of the drug). Even if you have a bong sitting on your couch, a cop cant arrest you for that or give you a ticket for "using marijuana". He can give you a paraphenelia ticket and confiscate it, but no arrests, no trumped up charges of using weed. My god, if thats how the government actually fought their bullshit drug war, i would move out of the country. Arresting a person for abusing a substance in their own home? c'mon man. I'd argue that citizen support pot legalization is not a majority. A Gallup poll in 2011 found that for the first time the US had a majority of people support legalization of weed. Source The people don't get to vote on legislation like that though, so a majority doesn't matter. It takes a majority of representatives to make that happen, and that doesn't exist. You're right that we should vote and change the poeple who make the laws, but thats a rather impractical task given that 80% of the time incumbents are elected simply because people know their name and will vote along party lines. And on prohibition, just because 46 of 48 states ratified the amendment doesn't mean a majority of the people wanted it. This is not a free democracy like that. States have their own methods of ratifying amendments, and that usually doesn't include a general vote. Ask anyone. read a history book. Prohibition was pushed through by a fierce, minority movement that was given into by the majority. obviously there were enough people to support it to get it go through, but if prohibtion was supported by the majority of the population, why was it such a colossal failure?

Finally, Romney's Tax Plan released !
Zorbanos 1st MRB replied to T. Brown 1st MRB's topic in Politics?
thank you -
Nobody said the federal government prohibited the consumption of alcohol. he just said prohibit. drugs are prohibited. its not technically illegal to be high on heroin or weed. its illegal to posses, which is a step farther than prohibition of alcohol took it. its illegal to manufacture, transport, or distribute. the argument and the point is, back then the federal government knew the only way they could prohibit anything of the sort and take that choice away from the citizen was to pass an amendment. current drug prohibition requires no such amendment, because the federal government decided they werent going to go that route. citizens dont fight it because they dont realize how bullshit it is. and even when the do, the supreme court refuses to hear cases arguing that drug prohibition by the federal government via unilateral legislation is unconstitutional, just like for decades they refused to hear cases involving personal possession of firearms. (until DC vs Heller 2008) btw legend, +1 on your post =)

Finally, Romney's Tax Plan released !
Zorbanos 1st MRB replied to T. Brown 1st MRB's topic in Politics?
Romney's whole campaign is based around the idea "are you better off than you were 4 years ago?" while that may seem like a good quetion, whos presidential policies created the global recession? Bush. 8 years of deregulation and tax cuts. that worked well (yes clinton insitituted deregulation as well, but the housing bubble was created and burst under whos watch? Bush) Can someone fix the greatest recession this country has ever seen in 4 years? LOL. it took FDR 12 years and the greatest war the world has ever seen to pull the US out of the great depression. is obama really the problem? Furthermore, everyone always forgets the reality of how the US government works. Romney and Ryan put out their great tax plan right? (which is not great) which helps out the middle class to recover the economy right? (which it doesnt) and they all flop around this great idea about how theyre going to cut taxes and cut the deficit and miraculously save the nation right? except that is not in their power. who controls and dictates the budget in this country? Its not the fucking president. its congress. you want to change how the country is run? pay attention to your HOR and senate races instead of the presidential elections. Even if romney is elected (god help us) he cant do shit unless Congress does it. Romney cant repeal Obamacare. Romney cant force the Congress to come to a budget agreement. Romney cant institute a unilateral tax plan him, ryan, and some conservative think tanks and wall street brokers figured out. the congress does that, and the president can sign off on it if he wants. shits not getting done in this country because of the two party system. Partisanship is ruining the way our nation is supposed to function. Romney talks about how bipartisanship worked in massachusetts. Fool, apply that in the federal government and see how that works for you. Furthermore, plain and simple, Romney and his campaign are full of shit. He tries to call the president out on stuff, and ends up looking like a jackass. He has no idea how to run the country's foreign policy and would probably fuck us into another war we dont belong in. All hes doing is trying to blame obama for everything and call out all of his mistakes. The economy is not under obama's control. Romney's approval rating in his home state is less than 40%. largely, that is because he was elected on a liberal/moderate platform, and the proceeded to institute conservative, republican policies. The guy will do and say anything to get elected. i dont see how people can support a man who will whore out his political ideals. romney's handling of the benghazi incident further concludes that the man cant handle foreign policy decisions on a worldwide scale, he cant even handle a presidential campaign fraught with crises. do we want another republican whos gonna jump the gun and make us all look like idiots? Signed, A moderate American who cannot support another conservative moron. -
i like the OC....

yeah but the youtube app is better than the iphone standard app, it syncs automatically with your account and you have access to all of youtubes videos, wheres before stuff like official music videos wouldnt show up on the apple app. i kinda dig the maps, but i think im gonna try out the google maps. the new maps app is definitely slower and more complicated, i need directions to be fast and simple.

i really wanna see pope and his whole world get fucked up. i always hate the cocky bastards who try to take on SAMCRO and fuck with the club. i dont want to see the club meet their match

well a simultaneous catch cant be reviewed, which is what was supposedly the call that was made on the field. only problem i have with that is one official called a touchdown and the other called and interception and the actual referee (the one who runs the whole crew and is in charge of the game) didnt even confer with either of those officials. therefore, who decided what the call on the field was? who decides what needs to be seen in order to constitute indisputable evidence? furthermore, neither of those officials were even in a good enough position to make that call, there were more than 15 yards away when the ball was caught. its the last play of the game, you knw its going to the endzone, get your fucking zebra ass in motion. and lets not forget the blatant missed offensive pass interference from one of the new scumbags of the NFL, Golden Tate. fact of the matter is, that was a penalty, regardless of what happened earlier in the game or any of the other circumstances surrounding the play. GT broke a rule, it should have been an offensive penalty, therefore the game ends. this is what we call the definition of a colossal fuck up and the NFL doesn't give a shit because we all still watch it =)

Name: Zorbanos Rank: Sgt. Type of issue: Not Sure Brief Description of Issue: hey guys, i'm not sure if yall will be able to help me with this but i really dont know what to do to fix this problem When i open up Shogun Total War 2, the screen resolution setting on the game does not match the screen resolution for my computer, leading to about half of the total war opening menu not being shown. Whats worse is theres no way i can adjust the screen resolution via the in game options because the resolution mis match causes the mouse to not be calibrated correctly, so i can't click on the options panel to try and adjust it. If i move the mouse to the very bottom of the screen the game thinks the mouse is halfway up on the screen. Very frustrating. If i dont fix this, i dont see any way ill be able to play the game. Does anybody know any tricks i can use to change the in game screen resolution without being in game? Or, should i try to change the resolution on my computer and try to go in game and fix it? ***Medical Supply Staff ONLY Below this line*** Current Status: Resolved Main Technician: CWO. M. Missing one of the most epic moments of baseball history: when the red sox came back from 3-0 to beat the yankees in the ALCS and win the world series on a total eclipse. But of course, they showed plenty of triumphant yankees winning all the world series they paid for
