Your config is all in order, there is nothing bound to change weapons other than the mouse wheel and the numbers on the keyboard. The problem is likely the mouse. As I said, best way to test that is to grab another one, plug it in, and try it.

If you have another mouse you can use, plug it into your computer and test it (take it from another computer if you need to, you will only need it for a minute). If it works, we will have our answer.

The private server and ventrilo server run from the same datacenter. Generally when you are dropped from both at the same time (while you can still connect to steam), it is because the server has temporarily gone down. Not anything you need to worry too much about, it happens from time to time. If you disconnect from the server when you get the connection lost notice before the counter auto-disconnects, it may show you as leaving the server.

Update your graphics drivers. Go to the in-game video options, make sure everything is set to the recommended options for your system (marked by a * beside the option). Disable the bloom effect. Go into the multiplayer tab, click advanced, and disable both film grain options.

NVIDIA has had a history of releasing faulty driver updates, and in fact, they continue to release such updates often. When installing the driver, make sure you use the custom install option, and only install the driver itself (disable all other options). Whether it works or not, restart your system. If it failed before the restart, try the installation once more. If the above does not work, and you are still interested in trying, post back.

Go into your steamapps/username/day of defeat source/dod/cfg folder, and find the "config.cfg" file. Either upload a copy of the file and PM me the link, or open the file with any text editor and copy-paste the contents into a PM to me. Whichever is easier for you. *NOTE* I have asked you to send this through a PM, as the config.cfg file may contain unprotected passwords for any servers you have visited (including our private server password). As this is a public section of the forum, we do not want that posted.

It is only a problem on DOD:S, and you can still spam the button by clicking it (Whereas before you could spam it with the enter key, or spacebar which is often quicker). Additionally, a similar problem is on the in-game demo editor, in that case resulting in buttons not working at all.

I spent about two hours this afternoon attempting to work this problem out. Doesn't appear to be a client-side issue (which is a mystery to me, as not everybody has the problem), and does not appear to be a client bug (eg. the clientregistry.blob fixes). My best guess, a bugged release by Valve. Because I have no idea which file is problematic, I only hope Valve will be able to do something about it.

Does this happen in singleplayer as well? Go into your in-game options, click the multiplayer tab. Click the advanced button. Disable both of the film grain effect options. Make sure you click the "apply" button in the options menu. If all else fails, I am going to go a little abstract, and suggest you install a scoreboard other than the default. Look here.

Restart your computer if you have not recently. (since your re-install attempt) Make sure steam is not running. Go to your task manager, click the processes tab, end "steam.exe" if it is running. Delete the following from your steam installation folder; Clientregistry.blob Steam.dll steamclient.dll steamclient64.dll (if applicable) Start Steam, allow it to update.
