  1. Happy Birthday!
  2. Test the keyboard on another computer first, to isolate the problem. Check all available keyboard settings, including those that may be found in the driver software, along with the windows keyboard tools via the control panel. I cannot provide much further detail into what to look for, as for lack of personal knowledge in the matter. I could suggest a fresh driver install (complete removal, then re-installation), however I have doubts that it will accomplish much of anything other than spending your time. Try it as a last resort. I apologize on behalf of the office if this was of little help to you, however with no way to reproduce the situation, no personal or extended experience with the problem, and no source to turn to for information, along with the presumption that nothing occured to bring about the situation (the keyboard being impacted, a spill, etc) I must, with great dissatisfaction, refer to a product defect, which is best resolved by contacting the manufacturer.
  3. Ensure the game is running with administrative privileges, and the correct in-game dialogues are used (ie, apply settings, exiting the game via the main menu, etc).
  4. This is very common with the source engine. Most commonly, it is related to your router either crashing, or preventing the required information from being sent. Switch off your router for a few minutes before restarting it. If the problem persists, you may need to change some of your router settings or network settings, specifically, DMZ (sub-network) related.
  5. Do you require any further information on this topic?
  6. Do you require any further assistance with this issue?
  7. Has anybody been in contact with you as of yet?
  8. Disable the Windows Aero extension as a first attempt. Test the effect. If it fails, disable multicore rendering as well, try it again (having both the extension, and multicore rendering disabled) I do not guarantee that either of these will help, though as I can't seem to reproduce the problem myself, I need to work it through on yours. As a last resort, attempt dropping the directx setting to dx8 (input -dxlevel 80 into the launch options). Confirm it is set to the appropriate dx level by looking in the in-game options. The game will likely look like shit, but it will test something I had in mind. If this ends up resolving the crashes, enable the settings I previously told you to disable. If the above does not work, attempt setting it to dx10 (input -dxlevel 100 into the launch options). Confirm it is set to the appropriate dx level by looking in the in-game options. If this ends up resolving the crashes, enable the settings I previously told you to disable. If either of the above result in immediate crashes, or other unexpected issues, set it back to dx9 (input -dxlevel 90 into the launch options). Confirm it is set to the appropriate dx level by looking in the in-game options.
  9. Happy Birthday!

  14. Causes may include your temporary internet files being deleted (sometimes done automatically via a browser (anonymity settings), anti-virus, or computer cleaning software), a browser crash, or even improperly shutting off your computer. There are a great many possibilities behind such an issue, none of which would prove to be worth worrying about, so long as no other strange behavior has been showing up recently.
  15. Please provide us with your current computer specifications (Right click on "my computer", click properties, click "Device Manager"), as well as your current game settings.

  18. I am aware this was posted long before the solutions were, however, for future reference; http://www.1stmarineraiders.com/index.php?showtopic=20501http://www.1stmarineraiders.com/index.php?showtopic=20449 I appologize for the delay on this topic. Resolved.
  19. Topic resolved. Thank you to Avila for your discovery.
  20. Thank you for confirming/testing the solution. Happy to hear it has been resolved. Topic resolved.
  21. This does not fix the bugged textures for power lines. This applied only to the purple screens people have when they are spawning. From what I have heard, you need to set anti-aliasing above 2X to fix the problem. When I return from work tonight, I will test the solution.
  22. Happy Birthday! (even if it is 1 day early)
