  1. That is true, I personally have learned a lot since I joined up as well. Much better than I was before I joined.
  2. Please do. I was looking for a promotion in my current place of work anyways.
  3. Unfortunately, first opinions can completely determine the outcome of a job interview. It depends on how ridiculous the people in charge of hiring feel like being on a given day. Though it is unfair, their is hardly any way to mediate it. In my opinion, a company where the people in charge come to ridiculous assumptions so quickly, without founding, proof, or reason, is not a company I care to work for. Good luck on the interview though. I am sure you will do fine.
  4. When posting, if you click the "Add Reply" button multiple times, it will post multiple times. It is a common issue with IP Boards, and many other BBS systems. This also happens if the request times out, and is refreshed. Please just press it once, and wait.
  5. It is in the slope chute... Anyways, I will give it a look.
  6. Immensely. Should keep everyone busy for another full day. (Plus the amount of time it takes to teach our own dogs to do this)
  7. Also, give us an idea of the hardware you have in your computer. If you want the game to look pretty again, it would be helpful to know what it may or may not be able to handle well. Will help us make more of a balance between performance and graphics.
  8. It's a busy week for everyone, wouldn't worry about it. The forums will pick back up again soon.
  9. Three quotes from me on this page... YERRRR (That's a good thing, right?)
  10. Happy birthday peoples.
  11. Happy Birthday to Kabasares and Wilson! Have a good one.
  12. Happy Bday to Devlin.
  13. Open the sound interface via system preferences and click "input". From there you should be able to set the desired microphone to the default input device, as well as test if it is working.
  14. Happy to hear the problem was resolved.
  15. Firstly, my post was based off of no form of prejudice. I made no comment on immigration being a bad thing, or the want to assimilate people into one of a same. My comment was solely focused on the fact that beliefs collide, and occasionally do so violently. This is the result of either a lack of respect and acceptance towards each other, or the lack of knowledge on the people around us. Despite what we would like to think of our society, this does account for a decent portion of Canada's yearly homicides. Secondly, a large portion of weapons used in serious crimes where the weapon was obtained, were not registered within the system. Therefore, there would have been no warning regardless. Though I agree completely with your points about society having the right to be aware if you are in possession of a firearm, as well as it being a privilege to own one. In most eyes it is another hassle for hunters and farmers, whom use their firearms for anything from making a living, to protecting their property (from various wildlife). It hasn't proven to sway any crime. I myself, live near Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a population of under 500,000 with an average of 25-30 homicides per year. Charges for possession of an unregistered weapon occur almost daily. How effectively is the registry actually protecting our cities?
  16. At this point, I feel that I should point you towards Microsoft's supposed fix for the problem. It can be found at: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/video_fr...r_crashes/en-us I hate nothing more than allowing Microsoft to manage my computer (perhaps a personal problem), but it seems they have come up with a successful fix for the issue. Please post back with the result of Microsoft's fix.
  17. Because politicians generally refuse to acknowledge that rising gun related crime rates are not related to lack of documentation on the firearms, and more based on the fundamentals of the country. Canada prides itself with its multiculturalism (which is fantastic), though it is also its own downfall. People don't get along anywhere. Many of the problems we face are brought on by those who refuse to compromise and see past their prejudices. Also, the lack of understanding that though Canada allows all to practice any belief they want to, it does not, however, allow people to act outside of Canadian law. (ie. recent honor killings) My opinion - politicians continue to search for the quick solution to large problems, which ends up costing more money, wasting more time, and effectively accomplishing nothing to the end problem.
  18. *edited to use form* First thing is first. Check the status of your video drivers. Be sure that they are enabled, and updated. Next, you will need to disable hardware acceleration for Adobe Flash. This can be done by browsing to a page with a video and right clicking, selecting "settings". A window will come up where you can uncheck the "enable hardware acceleration". *Note* You will only be wanting to disable hardware acceleration for Adobe Flash, as per the steps above. Close the browser. Reopen the browser, and it should be working again.
  19. Logically yes, though that would essentially mean that my original opinion was well founded. Education does not define economical growth. I thank you for your open knowledge.
  20. My co-workers and I have recently been debating if improved education (ie. cheaper, more widely available, etc.) truly defines the economy of a nation. My personal opinion on the subject; Education does have an effect on the economy, though it definitely does not define it. Though it is true that a higher level of education does provide opportunity for individuals to earn a better income as well as (perhaps) increase productivity, it does not, however, dictate the potential of an individual. For many of those who claim that funding is a serious issue in a wanted education, I find that a significant portion of the people have a problem less with the lack of funding available, and more of the lack of motivation, the separation of needs and wants, or any real determination to achieve what they openly claim they want. Now, I am wondering about your opinions on the subject. Do you agree with me? Do you think something completely different? I want to hear your side on the argument.
  21. Looks very cool. Undoubtedly will be incredible expensive to start.
