  1. I've unbanned you from Ventrilo. In the future, please refrain from using any tags that might be seen as an attempt to impersonate a unit member. If you are interested in wearing the tags, you may consider re-enlistment. N. Holland
  2. The error you posted for us on the blue screen refers to a problem; Since you only have one processor installed, this indicates a problem with one of the following; A driver that, when run, freezes up your CPU. Overheating to an extreme degree. Hardware malfunction. From what I've researched, this problem appears to crop up commonly on 64-bit versions of windows, and is most associated with a bad core on the CPU. Some BIOS setups allow you to disable individual cores. That may be something to look into. It seems you have multiple problems at work here, as the above should take care of the bluescreen, but not the initializing screen, or the purple colours. As Lafy indicated, the off-colour loading screens are likely a result of a failing graphics card, though you should follow his suggestions in his post above to test it. The initializing screen will take a little more research before I can help you further on that one. The Marvel 88se91xx is a host controller for connection of SATA or PATA to a PCIe host. This indicated to me the problem is with the BIOS setup, or with the controller on your motherboard itself.
  3. Tried the game out before. You can start building right from the get-go, mining doesn't seem to serve any purpose what-so-ever as of yet (remember, it's still in early alpha stages). The building is a bit of a pain in the ass though. If you accidentally get too close to the ship while building and happen to bump into it, it will start drifting off without any way to stop it, and making it impossible to continue building while it's spinning away. Thus forcing you to start over again. Once you do manage to build a simple ship, flying it around runs into the same problem. There is no way to stop (that I found in the hour or so I had given the game to try). Which also means, there is no way to get out of your ship without it floating off into space, and no way to land at a space station (which can also be built, and similarly, a pain in the ass). Basically, once you finish building something, you can use it until you want to get out, then it's lost. It has potential, and if the block-building thing appeals to you, give it a look. But there really isn't much there yet.
  4. I apologize for the additive hassle, but would it be possible to provide us a picture of this screen (ie. with a camera)? It may help us understand exactly what is happening. Are you able to enter the BIOS? On the first screen you see, you should see a message indicating the button to press to enter BIOS, or setup, or some similar wording. Typical buttons to enter the BIOS include DEL, ESC, F1, F2, F8, F10. Using the arrow keys to navigate the options, and enter key to change/confirm options, go through the menus and check to make sure any option pertaining to RAID is disabled. Also, you should see an option for "SATA controller" somewhere (on my computer it's under the "advanced" tab). Set that to IDE. Make sure to save your changes before exiting and trying to boot again. If the above fails, try resetting the BIOS to default settings (should be a listing of buttons either at the bottom or to the side of the BIOS screen. One will correspond with resetting to defaults.). Save the setting and try booting again. If that fails, reseating the CMOS battery should fix it. Fingers crossed. Wouldn't jump right to this step without trying the above though. Edit: It should be noted, that if any of the above steps work, your computer shouldn't be left in that state indefinitely. If you had a stop error just prior to this problem, it is safe to assume there is something wrong on the hardware end of things, and therefore, it shouldn't be expected to continue working normally for much longer.
  5. Great job! Keep up the good work here, it really adds something to look forward to each month in the unit.
  6. It could be either your modem/router or ISP, or maybe even both. A router/modem coming up on 9 years old could never hurt to be replaced. Newer routers will be able to handle traffic more efficiently. That being said, make sure the modem/router aren't covered by your ISP for replacement (if it is equipment they installed). When your network is under heavy use (netflix streaming movies, amplified if streaming to multiple devices for example) will cause your ping to increase. A newer router may be more responsive, lessening the effect to an extent. As for download speeds, you should expect them to be slower while other people are using the network. When others are streaming videos, for example, you aren't able to use 100% of the network bandwidth, as some of it is being used. Thus the speed at which you download will be slower. Look into what service plan you have with your ISP to see what kind of rates you are paying for. Run a speed test, connecting to a server located near where you live. This will help determine if you are receiving the service you are paying for. If it isn't adding up, contact your ISP and ask some questions. See why you aren't getting what you were told you should get.
  7. Could you describe in further detail what you mean by "not working correctly"? Is it not doing anything at all?
  8. Done. This will be his last strike. And further problems after this ban will result in a permanent removal from our servers.
  9. What? You must be having a problem with your graphics... Nice editing on the video, some great shots in there! Looks good!
  10. Now that I'm home, I've looked into your problem a little further. According to the tracerts you posted, the problem doesn't lie with our server (it's reporting the average ping you have stated). It also doesn't appear to be lying in your end either, the rates look pretty good in the first picture. In the picture you posted where the rates were higher, connections hit a slow point between a router in Germany (gtt-gw.ip4.tinet.net), and another in Virginia (as20473.ae2.ar2.ewr1.us.nlayer.net). Both of which appear to be an IXP (Internet Exchange Point), which neither us, nor your ISP have any control over. I wish I could offer you a good reason as to why the connection slows there, but sadly, I don't have too many. The best I can offer you, is that there is a lot of traffic passing between those two points, or perhaps a hardware failure somewhere along there. In addition, it would help to explain why some people are having connection issues and others are not. There isn't any way to change the route your connection takes yourself, that comes down to your ISP. And there's about a snowballs chance in hell that they will change it for a single customer. If my investigation is correct, the only option you would have is to change ISP's, and hope they route traffic differently. Or, wait it out, and the problem should "fix itself" with time.
  11. My apologies for the above. That`s what you get from me in the mornings I guess. I`m not entirely sure it is the server. Tracerts from other clients appear normal, and pings are normal, or even better than normal for myself at least. The next best suggestion I can give you is to try to replace your router altogether and see if that improves the situation any. I may have missed something, but if your ISP isn`t reported any issues with their network, the problem might be at your end.
  12. Closing the ticket. Sorry we couldn't be of more assistance to you, unfortunately it is a variable set in the maps themselves, which we can't change without editing the map itself. Feel free to post any other problems or questions you may have in the MSO. Edit; Derp, ignore this post.
