Resolved - Cannot connect to games on the private server
Holland 1st MRB replied to Samuels 1st MRB's question in Closed Tickets
Topic is resolved. The maps which were not working were stored in the dod/maps/map folder. They need to be stored in the main maps folder. Note for research, default DOD:S maps only worked when in the main maps folder, however custom maps still would not work. Custom maps were required to be in a dod/maps/maps folder to work properly. I will update this topic when I find something on this. -

Alternatively, you can download individual maps from here. Install them using Bradley's steps above. -
Happy Birthday McKenzie! Have a good one!

Resolved - Some sprays do not appear
Holland 1st MRB replied to Gearhart 1st MRB's question in Closed Tickets
This tells me that the problem is not related to the config, as I was using the config I posted last night as a test and spays were working as they should. Just to re-affirm that there are no commands interfering with the sprays displaying, please access the command line for DOD:S through Steam. To do this, right click on Day of Defeat: Source in your Steam library (The steam window), and click properties. From there, click "launch options" and add the following into the box that appears; -autoconfig This will bypass all custom settings, restoring default values to the game. If it does not work, simply remove the -autoconfig command from the launch options, and your game will return to as it was before. Do you have any custom content installed into DOD:S? -
Resolved - Some sprays do not appear
Holland 1st MRB replied to Gearhart 1st MRB's question in Closed Tickets
Please make a backup of your current .cfg file, and move it to another location (like your desktop). This backup is only temporary. If the following fixed the problem, it can be deleted. Please put the following file into the dod/cfg folder, as you would when installing an autoexec file for the first time. Please follow the steps outlined in this post. Use this file as the autoexec.cfg. I have taken the config you provided, removed unnecessary commands which were setting variables to their default value. I also removed a few conflicting commands. Please try it, and post back with a result. -
Resolved - Some sprays do not appear

Was the spray working for anybody else? Try clearing your decals before spraying the image and see if that works. -
I took your advice Lafy, and it seems to be working well enough. The only thing is that I'm noticing that my connection is pretty slow now. Any suggestions?

You may be more successful with this question by posting in the Medical Supply Office. It is for any and all technical questions or problems. As for your question, much to my surprise (and initial scepticism), I have found Microsoft Security Essentials to be ideal for myself. Perhaps it will work well for you too. You can inspect the program for yourself, and see if it is what you are looking for; http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/security/pc-security/mse.aspx

How much physical memory (RAM) do you have installed in your computer? As for the connection issue, make sure you have DOD:S (hl2.exe) and Steam (steam.exe) set as an exception to your firewall. How do you connect to the internet? (Router, Modem) Do you use wireless, or wired technology to connect your computer?

Update delta not found. (Error given upon crash of demo. Think DOD 1.3) That is all.

Brown has determined that it is a problem with our server itself, and has informed the appropriate people. We will continue to research the problem to the best of our ability, but somebody like Yamagata or Parker (or others with FTP access to the server) may be far more successful as they have access to the files directly. Hopefully we can bring this problem to resolution soon, and we will be sure to keep this topic up-to-date.

Resolved - Server is running new version of game
Holland 1st MRB replied to C. Small 1st MRB's question in Closed Tickets
Did you ever set DOD:S (or any other source engine game) to run from an external location (outside of the Steam folder)? It is a relatively new feature added to steam roughly a year (?) ago. -

Small has informed me that moving his Steamapps folder resolved this issue. The cause of the issue is still unknown. -

Resolved - Steam Spray imported but not spraying in-game
Holland 1st MRB replied to Samuels 1st MRB's question in Closed Tickets
Now that I am home, I have downloaded the spray that was made for you, and discovered that it is in-fact a problem with the spray. It does not work for me either. I will play around with the file, though the Quartermasters Office will likely have to resolve this one. I would assume that it was a problem with converting/compiling. Again, no need to worry as it is not a problem with your end. Just be patient while either the Quartermasters Office, or myself (if I can with the file provided), fixes this issue up for you. -
Good to hear from you Lystad! We're Looking forward to seeing you around again. Best of luck with your current activities!

Resolved - Steam Spray imported but not spraying in-game
Holland 1st MRB replied to Samuels 1st MRB's question in Closed Tickets
Before you spend too much time editing the spray itself, test to see if it works properly on a Windows set-up. When using a Mac, you may need to place the spray file into the appropriate folder manually (similarly to how you cannot download maps directly from the server currently). If you would like to try this, (and assuming the basic file structure is the same on the Mac version of Steam/DOD:S), you will need to get into your Steam installation "folder". From there, go into SteamApps -> Common -> Day of Defeat Source -> dod -> Materials -> VGUI -> Logos. Place the .vtf file you were provided directly into the Logos "folder". Import the spray in-game again, from the new location. -

Please keep us posted on the situation. It may be worth trying some of the steps provided in this topic, or some of the steps I had gone over with you on Ventrilo the first time around. If what solved the problem previously fails to work this time around, we will be happy to assist you further. -
Resolved - Map Change Game Crashes
Holland 1st MRB replied to Mottola 1st MRB 's question in Closed Tickets
Arsenault had Insanes HUD Version 10 installed earlier (not the most recent). I would suspect this being part of the problem. Topic marked as resolved. If more problems occur, please pose them here. -
Resolved - Unable to set my new spray
Holland 1st MRB replied to Arsenault 1st MRB's question in Closed Tickets
Happy to hear the problem has been resolved. In the future when setting up a new spray, remember that it is not a requirement to place the spray anywhere other than where you will know to look. No need to worry about putting it in the custom folder, or in the materials folder. The spray can be put on your desktop if you like. Once the spray is selected from the in-game option, it is automatically placed in the appropriate location.
