After a little research, for the original error of "Out of memory, loading solid" try looking here. Additionally, there have been some help topics like this, that have apparently been very helpful. Follow the instructions in the first link, and you should have no problems. Essentially, this is being caused by a bad value in a solid. The steps described in the first link simply state to open the map file with Notepad, go to the specified line causing the error, deleting the invalid values in the solid. This should bring your map back up to a loadable form. Many pages attribute this error to incorrect values like #QNAN.

unbanrequest :: bravius
Holland 1st MRB replied to Bravius's topic in Military Police Archives - DoD:S
After further investigation, I realize that perm was far to harsh given the situation, but in the middle of a realism, I rushed through it. Requesting the ban be lowered to 1 week. Edit: Note that this took place during an open realism in our private server. -

Not a problem, good to hear it has sorted itself out. It is too bad that I could not come up with a solid solution for you, but I would assume it was due to temperature, humidity, or otherwise at the time. -

I suppose it is a possible solution, although if it has worked fine in the past, I would look first towards what might have changed before the problem occurred. -
Happy birthday man!

On a similar note - My parents had bought a new (2008) Santa-Fe about a year ago. About a week later, they discovered that the remote key worked on multiple other 2008 Sante-Fe's. My Mother was walking through a parking lot, and pressed the unlock button on the remote. One car, which was very similar to hers lit up when she pressed the button. She got in, thinking it was her car until she realized it was full of someone else's things. She got out, re-locked the car with the remote, went to her own car, and left. Never-the-less, interested story about the security of remote locks.

Try dropping off some of your graphics settings in-game. I have seen similar FPS drops due to things like exploding grenades or rockets somewhere on the map, usually multiple at once. The config you have should have taken care of such issues already, though it is worth a try. As well, ensure that your fans are running properly, and are not being obstructed (dust). A system can start to have a kind of a "chugging" feel to it when it is overheating. -
Resolved - Steam open but not open
Holland 1st MRB replied to Ducky MoMo's question in Closed Tickets
The default task manager on Windows will not show all tasks running, however, Steam will always be shown. It is quite easy to hide a running program from the default task manager, and because if that, I would recommend any non-default task manager, as there are many of them with many different features. One I use when I need an external task manager, is found here. However, keep in mind that they will be more difficult to use, as they are showing many more tasks than the default one would. Many of which, are the core processes for your OS itself, and if terminated, would likely cause your OS to crash, potential file corruption, etc. So if you plan to use them, please do so at your own risk. Google is your friend. Again, this would have little relevance to steam, as the version downloaded from the steam website will never be a hidden process. When you start up your computer, it will take time for everything to connect to your network, and then to the internet. On my system, it takes between 15 - 30 seconds after log-in for my connection to come up. If Steam were to open in that time-frame, it would quickly discover that it cannot connect to the network. If Steam is on start-up I strongly recommend you take it off. If you are looking for maximum optimization of your system, there should be nothing that starts up when your system starts, with the exception of the core processes, anti-virus, drivers, etc. It takes very little effort to click a little icon when you want a program to run. As for the reason why it would fail to find a connection, and then disappear, my first point of blame would be again to your start-up programs. During launch, Steam takes up a surprising amount of resources to bring itself to open. If your system's resources are being shared between a large number of start-up processes, it will take, in some cases literally forever for your system to do anything. I can tell your system is being maxed out, as you said it took up to 5 minutes for it to boot. That is a problem. If worse comes to worse, I would recommend you look into an upgrade for yourself. I'm sure one of our more hardware specialized techs could help you out with that. As stated above, a quick and easy way to manage start-up programs is to type "msconfig" into the run prompt (start >> run), clicking on the "Start up" tab, and disabling anything unnecessary. *NOTE* On my system, there is a "Steam" in the start-up tab of msconfig, which directly relates to the VAC server connection. Do not disable that, as it will result in being kicked every 5 minutes or so due to no connection to VAC servers. I believe there is an option to disable automatic start-up in the steam options. Keep in mind, if any problems occur after disabling a start-up program, you may easily re-open msconfig to re-apply it's start-up status. -

One thing I noticed, is that you should raise your lerp value. Wouldn't have a massive effect on your game, but it may be helpful. What else did you have running in the background? Windows Live messenger? Skype? etc. Keep in mind that programs like these often run in the task bar (bottom right be default), even after you "close" them. Did you have any browsers (including steam browser) open? As always, check the condition of your computer. Shut it down. Clean it. Restart it. Try it again. Make sure that enough cooler air is making it into the case. Don't have your computer sitting in sunlight, or have it right against a wall/desk. -
Congrats, and good luck to you Dillon.

For your computer to have such a drastic change in FPS, there must have been some change to the system. You are sure nothing has changed that you are aware of since last it worked correctly? (installed new software, new drivers, etc) Are programs like windows update running, or your anti-virus doing a scan? I give these steps to everyone who has FPS issues, as it is often the most basic, and common problem. Clean your computer. Inside and out. By this, I mean taking the case of your computer, clearing it of dust. Make sure it is in a well ventilated area. Then, clean the "inside". There are multiple things you should look into. Firstly, go into your control panel (start >> control panel), and press "add/remove programs" ("programs and features" for Windows 7). Many of those programs that are taking up space on your hard drive, that are never used. Well, those are in fact making an impact on your computers performance, whether they are currently active or not. After you have picked through your installed programs, go into the "run" prompt (start >> run), and type msconfig into the box, and press OK. Once the window comes up, go to the "Services" tab. These list the extensions to many programs that are mostly always running, regardless of its master program's state. Disable any services that are related to things you do not use. If you do not know what a service does, google it before you disable it. You would disable things like "Bing Bar Update Service" for example, if you do not care for the "bing bar" on Internet Explorer. After the services, go to your "Startup" tab. These are all the programs that start up by default when you log into your system. There should be very few programs here, excluding your OS necessities and antivirus. Keep in mind, removing a program off the list will NOT make it un-usable. It will only cause it to stop starting up on it's own, and will require user input (launching the executable) to run. For example, the "ITunes" is not a program I need to start up automatically, so I disable it. Restart your computer, and see if there is any improvement. It may not be back to the way it once was, but any improvement is good. Tell me how it goes for you, and any future questions can be posted here. Alternatively, contact me via steam or vent, and I would be more than willing to give you more live support.

First thing is to restart steam. Occasionally it gets itself all worked up, and in all the drama, forgets to display a few things. Secondly, you might want to wait a little time. Every once in a while, for whatever reason, the server which handles users favorites lists goes down. It is usually restored quickly. If that does not help, you will need to re-add servers to your favorites manually. As to why it happens, the answer is simple. Valve. I myself notice from time to time that my favorites list disappears. Blaming Valve is the quick escape, that even though it is entirely understandable, prevents a potentially complicated technical explanation, that in all likelihood, has nothing to do with the end-user anyways.

Name: Peeps Steam I.D: STEAM_0:1:1913687 Reasons for the Ban: Wireframe/wall hacking Recommended duration of ban: Permanent Demo Provided?: http://www.mediafire.com/?mjyru6422mobfue View the demo with mat_wireframe 1 and notice how he traces enemies in the walls. The most telling sign is when he gets under the bridge, and is tracing the first stretch into allied sewers. You notice that he begins to ready his rocket the moment he sees someone approaching the steps. There are many incidents of this. Another telling example is when he peeks the main street (right before he gets mowed down by a distant MG), he has his rocket deployed, and aimed directly at 3 enemies before he gets around the corner. As well, notice the kill he got in the wheel house, where the allied support was rushing through. Peeps shoots into a wall from around the corner, just as the person is approaching. When viewed in wireframe, it is very obvious that he is tracing people from through walls. Very blatant in my opinion, but I will go through the request to see what you guys think.

Name: Wolfboy8541 Steam I.D: STEAM_0:0:33724399 Reasons for the Ban: Repeated intentional TK and TW, was warned repeatedly by non-admins. Warned once by admin. Directly after warning, tk'ed 3 people and fled the server. Recommended duration of ban: Perm. This has been a reoccurring event for this person. According to Lalonde, he was at it for about 30 mins before an admin (myself) got onto the server. Demo Provided?: N. Lalonde brought it to my attention, apparently attempting to contact some admins though they were busy at the time.
