Rate What The Person Above Is Listening To
T. Brown 1st MRB replied to J. Johnson's topic in The Slope Chute
Despite your harsh critique of my 70's rock, I'll give this a 8.7/10 cause of cuteness and happy. You asked for something more interesting, yes? I WILL GIVE IT TO YOU THEN. (some NSFW moaning at the beginning, and um...yea, the whole video is kinda wacky) -
Reading? What is this "Reading?"
T. Brown 1st MRB replied to Pangilinan 1st MRB's topic in The Slope Chute
I've read Matterhorn. I suppose it was ok. Right now I'm focusing my reading on topical pieces that are related to my field of study. Exactly how I'm feeling. It's just...ok. I was hoping for so much more. I'm still on the old-fashioned paper route of reading. I have an ipad but just never have bothered to read with it, other than news. I'm old though so maybe I'm being stubborn. Also, never read anything by Hamilton or Collins, but as long as people are reading, I've got nothing against 'em. Even Twilight encouraged a surge in book sales for other Y.A. authors, so whatever it takes to get people to read, I support. -

Pancake is master race. -24624024624/10, and that's not including any points for cuteness. ps: to post the video as embedded, click the Share button under the video, then click the Embed, copy all the gobblygoop, paste it into the reply thing on the forums here. THEN, underneath where you are typing this message and posting the embed html stuff, there will be a menu called Post Options; you'll see HTML Off as default. Turn that shit on, either one of the ON options. If the video cannot be embedded (as per the uploader wishes), won't work, or if it is in a section of the forums that does not allow HTML code, the option won't exist. Also, depending on your computer, trying to preview it may show a blank post, that's ok...it'll show up once posted and refreshed. -

-5232542/10, and that's including about a million points for cuteness. I've been on technokick today; made Willow listen to this earlier, now you all must do the same! -
That's literally Brown, Quarterman, and Reis in that gif, respectively.

Unban Request :: Pvt. E Malarkey
T. Brown 1st MRB replied to E. Clark's topic in Military Police Archives - DoD:S
I went ahead and unbanned you. Judging from the event log, there is no record of a TK before you disconnected so while you definitely team wounded someone (based on witness accounts), you've got a clean history and I've seen you enough to know you're most likely being truthful here. If you've having connection problems that are persistent, you can always make a post in the Medical Supply Office for help! Other than that, try hopping back on the server if something like this happens again and explaining what caused it; will avoid future misunderstandings : ) Enjoy! -

Closed - Client Timed Out
T. Brown 1st MRB replied to Gardner2's question in Hardware Guides & Maintenance Questions
Complete fresh install, downloaded steam then downloaded the game, both Steam and DoD:s are fresh installs. No autoexec.cfg file in the folder. So it was not installed from a back-up and the re-install has removed any configs (like Dillon's) or custom content you might have had; you'll have to add those back if you want them. It sounds like you're not experiencing the issue anymore though, is that correct? -
It's okay we didn't wanna say anything XD : P My mind is still repairing itself; I just totally forgot I bought this bundle the day it came out, even posted about it.

In vent (and I am paraphrasing all except the title of the name of Johnson's favorite porno because I was laughing too hard to hear very well) Brown: I am trying to eat so I am going to leave this conversation about johnson being a dolphinfucker. Swartz: Wait, what is going on? Johnson is a dolphin fucker? Brown: Oh yea, and he sent me a bunch of dolphin porn too. Swartz: What would that be exactly? Big black dolphin dicks or something? Or is that Orcas...? Brown: Well that would make it interracial dolphin porn right? (people laughing and talking over each other) Parker: He's watching Interracial Blowhole Stretchers 6

"Rate the sig above you" thread...
T. Brown 1st MRB replied to Ford 1st MRB's topic in The Slope Chute
9.8/10. Excellent color themes, subdued and grey, an impeccable depiction of what war is. The text in the quote follows the same standards, reminding one of the damaged buildings left after a battle and echoing the sentiments of the quote itself. All in all, a fantastic signature. I too just got a new bad ass sig, do me! -
There are many variables we need to know in order to diagnose this problem, as there are many different possible reasons for this. Could you provide us some of the specs for your computer, especially what graphic card you're using? Also, if you change the settings back to default (or whatever you were using before), does the game work fine? Finally, which settings did you change exactly? Did you turn on anti-aliasing? Also, when you open options, go to Video, select advanced, at the bottom it will tell you which Software Directx level and which Hardware Directx level you are using. Tell us those. And to just get this out of the way as this could be the easiest fix, make sure your graphic card drivers are completely updated.

Bradley Manning sentenced to 35 years
T. Brown 1st MRB replied to T. Brown 1st MRB's topic in Politics?
Hey guys, just a quite note. Let's remember to be respectful. I really would like to have a civilized discussion on this matter, and the CS will have it closed if there are personal attacks. Debates CAN be respectful, and more often than not, your viewpoint will be better understood when done so. : ) -
Bradley Manning sentenced to 35 years
T. Brown 1st MRB replied to T. Brown 1st MRB's topic in Politics?
If history has taught us anything, treason is not so black and white. Tons of the freedoms that we (Americans, of all races) enjoy in this country are a result of treason. Imagine if all of those instances were handled in this manner. You may not agree with what he did, but you also cannot know the entire story of what happened, so I really don't see how you can decide the man's death when there are still variables that could very well illustrate that this is one of those treason's that had to happen, that improved the world, that made this country what it is today and why it is so worth defending. -
Bradley Manning sentenced to 35 years

All I can say is that he is lucky that the information he leaked didn't contain any materials that would have put U.S. Service Members in danger. Cause then I would have approved of his execution for treason against the U.S. I know I read in some place that he had information that would have resulted in that which he choose not to leak, for exactly those reasons. I'll try to find the source when I have time, but agreed...had he done that, deserves death. -
Reuters Article What are some opinions on this? I'm torn; while I'm glad he got off relatively light (emphasis on relatively), and having already served 3 years, could be out in 8 (see tweet embedded below), and while he did technically break the law, he did NOT endanger any lives with the information he leaked. He did not steal from the public like all the executives and bankers (who 96% of them got away with nothing, some even still getting bonuses), he did not murder anyone...I think you get my point. 35 years is a long time; there have been tons of military cases where men convicted of rape or murder got less (if you need sources, I'll have to find them later). I think this is pretty damn sad, but I am glad it is not as bad as it could have been. I also think this serves a terrible precedence and will scare the shit out of anyone who may have knowledge of corruption in speaking out. While he is not protected under whistleblower laws due to being active in the military, it is still a huge setback in how the U.S. government appears to the rest of the world. Some notes: He will have to server 1/3 of his sentence before he is eligible for parole. Tweet I referred to above:

Reading? What is this "Reading?"
T. Brown 1st MRB replied to Pangilinan 1st MRB's topic in The Slope Chute
THREAD REVIVAL TIME! I noticed Google was caching/searching this thread and since it is two years old, found it pretty interesting to see what people were reading back then. Tad unfortunate that more people didn't reply, so let's change that. WHAT ARE YOU ALL READING NOW? I'm currently re-reading IQ84, one of my new favorites from the past two-three years. It is (and this is a really loose summary) about a woman who experiences a drastic change in her perception of reality after a series of violent events, and it progressively becomes more and more surreal as reality seems to fold in on itself. An AMAZING mind-fuck, reminded me a lot of House of Leaves (which actually gave a friend of mine such a series of panic attacks that she had to stop reading it). Also am working my way through Matterhorn: A Novel of The Vietnam War, but not that excited about it. While the historic accuracy of it all is fairly decent, the writing style itself is choppy and sometimes feels as if it doesn't do the events it is trying to describe justice. Anyone read any of these before? And SOMEONE ELSE NOW GO; I love books, I want to know who else does!
