Editing has finished and the official release date for my first novel is January 13th, 2013, "F-Ring", by T.P. Brown. This will come with multiple book tours all around the states, so once I find out all those, I'll be posting here and see if I come within close proximity to any 1stMRB and if you guys want to come support one of your own because shit, I HATE book signings, especially since I've already had 6 death threats from firstreaders of it. SO, you should totally support one of your own FINALLY getting their fiction work published, DO IT. 8 years writing it, 1 year selling it, 1 year editing it...a work a decade in the making, finally coming to the world....I'm just a wee bit excited : ) That said, I'll obviously be taking a bit of a LOA once I figure all this stuff out, but my laptop can play some DOD:S and I'm sure I'll have a lot of downtime while sitting in hotel rooms fighting off the groupies, so I'll be around and able to play/forum-browse/ignore Parker's new choice of songs Yea, this is me right now... Just to add to this regarding the need for a permanent, he was waiting outside spawn goading people by getting in front of them and teamwounding (and talking mad smack), then shoveling in the face. Then some pubber killed him, he respawned, and mowed us down. ban...for...EVER.

Agreed completely on every point, and I've spent the day biking around, eating frozen yogurt, talking to the cute jewelry ladies at the mall, and I have come to a number of conclusions. First off, there is very little legal action I can take. Not only does this happen thousands of times a day on Facebook, but even if I do have the IP and time and money, there is still no case to make. I am sure that some of you remember Judge Gary Brown's decision in May of this year officially creating the precedent that an IP does not constitute a person (info here). While that was created more in concern of copyright law, it still applies to this scenario. Also, I never asked for ideas on how to get the guy/girl/amoeba back you guys, you should know better than to recommend illegal things on this forum (as should I)! Sure, I said I wanted to blow him up, but I am obviously not going to do that; it is just a natural reaction to such a vicious attack on one's personal life. GIO is right in this regard though, retaliation would not make me any better than him/her/it. Besides, I think it is safe to say that if this person has to resort to these acts in order to amuse themselves, their life is already miserable. Finally, while he did hurt a lot of people for about an hour or so, everyone was extremely relieved to discover that I was not dead, and this whole process actually brought me closer to some friends who I had not spoken to in a long time. I was even invited to spend some time in Australia by the family of my best friend from high school (who was like a 2nd family to me back then), all expense paid. We chatted on skype for the first time in 15 years. In a weird way, I actually owe this prankster a little gratitude (very little bit, mind you...probably could have achieved a similar outcome without the dramatic bullshit scare). SO, in conclusion, please don't recommend illegal things on the forum or in this thread, no I will not be retaliating (even though I have a good idea who it was), and I am still pretty sure I am not dead. Sorry this was so long and drawn out, but it seemed like this thread was headed towards a bad place and that is the last thing I want out of it. I really just wanted to share the story, see if anyone had any insight into how it could have happened, and vent a bit. Thank you, though, for reading and listening and letting me get all this out.
