Voted! As a side note, I've always wanted a pet elephant. I know it isn't necessarily moral to try to keep one of these creatures as a pet, but it would still be amazing! I got to ride one in Nepal on a safari, so much fun. We came across a rhino that wanted to charge, and apparently (according to the guide) if the elephant showed ANY fear, the rhino would rush us, so we were in a tense standoff for a few minutes with roars going back and forth (I did not know rhinos or elephants roared but holyshittheydo), and then the rhino sauntered off. IT WAS FANTASTIC.

Today, vtr# dohms msged me saying he is doing it in Portuguese, but anytime a 1stMRB is in server, he quiets down. I joined, he was quiet, I left and he started right back up. Recommended duration of ban: Anywhere from eternal damnation in the pits of hell to a day or two. Probably a day, just so he knows that 1stMRB don't have to be IN the server to police the server Demo Provided?: N; kaba might have witnessed a little bit of it, told him about it but again, whenever one of us is in server, he stops (or at least settles it down to tolerable levels).

Just to add to this post and the Nick the dick one; I got steam msgs from pubbers asking me to come in the server and watch these two harass Nick over and over. They said these two tked him 4 or 5 times, and then Nick started retaliating. By the time I got in, all I saw was these two harassing Nick, along with other players (and saying "engle is my neighbor, he said to ban nick"), and Nick subsequently TKing them twice. Just my fifty four cents : ) (forgot to record demo, sorry, was doing ninety things at once when I got messaged)

Someday, I'm going to dominate Legend, and when it does, I am going to buy a popular domain, like steam.com, and just put the image up with nothing else. I don't care if I go broke, lose all I own, and end up living on the streets, I will pay whatever it takes to maintain that site for the rest of all time and history forever.

It could be caused by a number of possible things, has plagued the DOD:S community for years, ranging from texture errors to needed CGF fragmentation to alien visitation. The most common source is that a texture didn't download properly when downloading the map from the server. To fix this, you can either a) delete all the particular map files (for that map only) in your DOD folders so that the server has to re-download them upon connection, or re-download the map from another source and replace the files where appropriate manually, though this is harder then just deleting and letting the server do it for ya, or c) check the errors that appear in your console when connecting to the map and see if you can locate the missing/messedup texture files, then just delete those particular files (if they are there...if they aren't, re-download them and put 'em there). A) is probably the easiest solution. However, this could also be caused by a driver problem with a graphics card; have you updated your driver recently? And the obligatory; this could also be caused by aliens. Have aliens visited you? I'd try the first one tho and let us know what it does : )

Thank you! And that is probably going to end up being part of the questions I'll be asking you. I have a specific plot in mind, with key characters of full complex back-stories, but have not decided where to put their combat/war/duty history...all I know right now is that they need some experience in that area to match their personalities (and the other back-back-stories I've created for them), but I just can't half-ass it and say "Oh, he was in so-and-so during the so-and-so attack," and leave it at that. I am a slight perfectionist when it comes to my stories, so every detail needs to be true to its representation. I'll send you a message tonight or tomorrow, that groovy? Intel Corei3 550 - 3.2ghz 6144MB ram Intel integrated graphic card - 1696MB (bottleneck right here) So yea...the card is the bad part, and I am pretty sure I can't upgrade it since my case is so slim, nothing will fit in it. I suppose I could get a new case though...right? Maybe? Bah. I doubt no matter what I try with what I got will run it well enough to enjoy

Little question: does one need a relatively good system to run this? Like, is it fairly rough on the ol' CPU? I can barely run L4D2 (as in, I don't even play it because it shmezzles so much), and Just Cause 2 won't even open due to my integrated video card, but I keep hearing how much fun this is and want to try it...seems like a bit of an investment though if it will run like poop.

I am a frequent guest there, and some old folks home (for a short story I'm working on about life in a retirement home like that; idea came to me after grandma died, she always wanted me to write a story on her life there), but I feel as if they are somewhat reserved when talking to me, and I have noticed that if I bring up certain subjects, it does not make them feel very good, so I want to either a) learn more about it all so I can know what subjects to avoid, and have people readily available for when I have questions during my process so that I can just email/msg/talk-to-in-vent-or-on-steam, as opposed to traveling over to them and hoping they're in a frame of mind to talk to me. But they are invaluable wells of knowledge on the subjects and I LOVE talking to them, and for the most part, they love telling their stories...just sometimes, it gets a little difficult for them so I feel I should know what not to say or how to react better. Thanks for the tip tho!

I think we tried reverting them back last time we worked on this in vent to no avail, but if not, this is definitely something to look into, agreed completely.
