So I perused the rulebook and whatnot but could not find anything about this, so have a post; is gambling allowed here? Like are we allowed to set up any private/public bets? Does not have to be for money of course, but if we are allowed to, can it be? I'm not a big gambler by any means, never even been to Vegas or Atlantic City, but a looong time ago, back in original DOD, my clan then used to have huge pools via the forums. It was a lot of fun and the pot could get substantial at times. Just curious : )

Dang, a little late to this party, but I'd love a pass to try it out if anyone has one left : ) I'll give you um...let's see...oh I know, I once collected my cat's fur in a box over a few months and was going to make another cat out of it, but never got around to it. You can have that in exchange for a pass : )

Exactly why I'm asking : ) Some of them drive me insane, but when its done right (Avatar and Tron are two examples off the top of my head), I freakin' love it.

Just curious to those who have seen it, which would you recommend? Was the 3D done properly (i.e. the film was shot with the knowledge that it would be 3D in mind, or was it just converted after the fact)? Opinions? If you spoil it for me, I will rip out your heart and feed it to your children

I've heard great things about Tribes:Ascend (wiki link). Plus its free (or they may not necessarily be a good thing...). But a lot of my friends LOVE it, compare it to Quake. Which, come to think of it, is still a fantastic game and is still pretty popular.

I have some questions and am just seeing if there are any lawyers or individuals studying law in 1st MRB that might be able to help me out. Nothing too serious, pertains to laws about certain issues when there is a death in the family. If anyone thinks they might be able to help out (even non-lawyers who have dealt with similar issues), please PM me or hit me up on steam. And apologies if this is not the appropriate place to post this; delete it if so.

So I learned a great deal about some of you in my other post here (and if you never responded, go do so now dammit), and perused the pinned pictures post and discovered you are all gorgeous individuals (except 1stSgt Brown, fuck you Brown); next logical step = pets! Post 'em if you got 'em! (Plus, this gives me an opportunity to show off my own ) I do a lot of volunteer work for the Serpatarium here in NC (like a zoo for reptiles; I go out on hunts for rare ones (called herping), and respond to calls when someone has an intruder in their home or a dangerous one in their yard), and someone left this gigantic Savannah Monitor in a box outside PetCo. They didn't have any room available at the Serpatarium so I offered to provide shelter until they do. She is a sweetie, probably 7 or 8 years old, named Sasha. And she's very photogenic! If you've been to my profile here, you've seen my latest critter Dash, a corn snake, that a nasty ex-gf said she'd let loose if someone didn't take her off her hands; having been a pet its whole life, it'd never make a day in the wild, so of course I had to grab her. This is (or I suppose was) my best friend for the past decade Pixie; 25lbs at her death (which was just 2.5 weeks ago *cry*) I have a few more snakes (big ass Red-tailed boa, probably 25yrs old, 8' long, and a gorgeous Emerald Tree boa that I WILL have a picture of soon, just got her today), but no pictures of them at the moment. Now you know the drill...post!

SO happy I got to see it! Couldn't get my lens filters working properly so no pics, but at least when I'm all senescent and senile and yelling at kids to get off my lawn, I can say "I SAW VENUS TRANSIT THE SUN BITCHES, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH YOUR LIFE?!"

I've got to say, you all are an extremely interesting and eclectic group of individuals! I most likely won't remember any of these details whenever I speak to any of you, but I certainly enjoyed reading all this and hope to hear from more of you! I'm still trying to get the hang of vent though; it seems every time I go in, no one is there, or no one is talking, or I cannot go into any of the rooms where there are people talking. I searched around to see if there were any similar posts about the type of people you all are, but could not find one. If there is one, feel free to point me in that direction and delete this post, but if not, fall in and tell me a little about yourselves! Where do you all hail from? I see a lot of UK people and obviously many of us are on the East coast since the server seems to be located in this general area; I get a ping of 11 and I'm on the coast of North Carolina, at least for the time being. My work allows me to live pretty much anywhere I want, so I may be moving soon...perhaps closer to YOU (looks at Travis). What kind of work do you all do? I'm a writer/artist/website-designer/SEO asshole/data-entry number-cruncher/investor/art-dealer/musician/...I think that covers most of it. I tend to do a little bit of everything, 80% of which revolves around sitting in front of a computer which I love, but my true passion has to the be the arts, and more specifically, writing. My first novel will be coming out in a month or so under T.P. Brown (title still in the works), so when I start hawking it all over the place, I expect my new friends here to be the first in line to buy it Before this venture, which I've been editing and working on the past 10 months, I wrote for an art magazine here in NC and kept busy with the aforementioned miscellaneous jobs.
