Valve/Steam/GabeN have reportedly banned 1500+ accounts over the past 24 - 48 hours in what has become the largest VAC-ban wave in Steam history, primarily targeted at CS:GO cheats. This comes about 33 days after the last VAC ban wave for the same game, only this time it's about 20x more comprehensive. There is nothing "officially" reported yet, but from what others have been saying, it looks like at least 16 different cheats are now detected, encompassing upwards of 1500 Steam accounts (very early estimate, could be much higher). Supposedly, some of the makers of these cheats decided to help Valve get 'em...maybe someone who knows more about it can put in their two cents.
Here's some fun pictures of cheaters all upset over it. DELICIOUS TEARS, I DRINK THEIR MILKSHAKES
Talking about the Subtle cheats being detected (previously thought to be undetectable for a loong time)
Cheaters talking about how the creators of said cheat sites should buy them new accounts
Tears of this guy, mekelek Steam Profile, who just 8 days ago was boasting about how his cheats (as in, one's he designed/coded) were undetectable. He liked to blatantly use his cheats to help boost the rank of others for pay.
Here's some general VAC-porn, including screenshots of their inventory that, as you may or may not know, is now permanently locked and untradeable/useable. Some of these people "lost" up to $5000 worth of CS:GO crap.
Album of Asiimov, who got it mid-game, and what was in his inventory (steam profile is now private).
Polish player with about $500 worth of CS:GO stuff, now all rendered worthless.
American player who bought a $150 Gut knife Fade skin, now worthless

I love it. So far, I haven't seen any MRB VACed (YAY), but here's the server stats click of recently banned players who played in the pub, some of whom were playing just yesterday (That "The Aggressive Obama" guy I played with yesterday afternoon). These VAC bans aren't necessarily for DOD:S, but do show you if they have a ban on any other game. You can see the latest 3, all at Dec 24, 2014 2:00 pm, are most likely a result of CS:GO cheats and this ban wave.
