  1. Have some on-set pics of the first taping for its return! (Courtesy of Lauren Hall herself) (The last one is supposedly a new game...can't wait!)
  2. Well, somewhat. We went on to try a few more things, and now I'm waiting on her to get back to me as she's found a local who might be able to help. We can close this for now, and if anything else up pops up, I'll just come back : ) Thanks everyone for the help!
  3. Honestly, a bit offensive. Some of us use marijuana as the only means to treat pain, and are legally prescribed it (well...depending on what state I'm in). Classifying a day to celebrate a drug that has SO many practical uses, from making paper 10x more durable than out of trees (from a plant that grows 10x faster and who's harvest much less of an impact on the environment), to its inherent medicinal qualities that range from migraine treatment to helping nausea for cancer-patients (my mom a great example; colon cancer, the chemo wrecked her, she couldn't eat...I shared some of my pot and there was literally a huge difference that very same day), is just ignorant and perpetuating a negative stereotype that is based in lies propagated by special interest groups who have money to lose should the real story of marijuana ever surface. The story, which is slowly coming to light over the years as more and more states recognize its important, is ever hindered by statements like this by people like you who can't bother to spend a few minutes researching instead of repeating the same ol' "lame" arguments that they've for used for 60 years, ALL of which have been refuted countless times. Why not take a moment to recognize this day for what it could be, awareness, instead of dismissing it in such a lazy and biased one-word slap to the face for those of us who day-to-day life are made immensely more bearable thanks to it. He said one word, "Lame." If you are going to get this butt-hurt over one word I'll close this topic right now because all it will be is a heap of trouble. People enjoy or disagree with pot smoking, and making a topic like this on the forums is asking for criticism. If you cannot stand even the most base criticism, then do not post this stuff on the internet. Sorry, you're right. I got a bit too emotional about it; just hits close to home. Apologies. I retract the aggressive negativity and attacks and hug everyone.

  5. Branem and I worked it out through steam. Resolved!
  6. One of my best friends in high school was autistic. He home-schooled though, but would come into the high school on occasion for special classes, pick up supplies, and socialize a bit. Maybe it was because it was a private high school in Japan as opposed to a public school in America (which I hear horrible things about, but never really attended), but we loved that guy. He was universally liked, and while it often made him feel good (95% of the time, he was super happy), he once told me how he wanted to be "normal". I think that since he got SO much attention, it made him either focus on his disability more, or made him feel as if without his disability, he would not be liked at all. Ever since he told me this, I have always wondered if other autistic people get similar feelings. We stayed in touch since I returned to the states, but unfortunately he died a few years ago from some form of heart complication. He had went on to help teach other autistic and/or developmentally-challenged kids through another American school in Japan and absolutely loved his life, no matter how short or challenging it was.
  7. Oops, sorry...dunno why I had his name in my head. Fixed.
  8. Just an FYI (for anyone who may be reading this in the future), this is The U in the 80's, who has been banned EIGHT times since January 19th, 2013. List here. I also kicked him a few days ago because he was jumping from team to team and using an MG to barricade pretty much everything he could, even after being asked not to.
  9. VOLUME WARNING Story I'm sure more videos will start to emerge of this, but this one in particular struck me as insane.
  10. This is the chat log I think he meant to post.
  11. holyballs, that was some palpable excitement there. AND YES GARDINER, I saw tons of Jordan games! Lived in Chicago during his career there. Sure, I didn't know much about sports, but I knew we were proud as hell to have him!
  12. Vegetarians are weeiiirrdddd. She's bitching at him for eating meat (essentially), but wait til the end...wat.
  13. I can't remember much of it, I was only 10 or so, but it was the early 90's and was a Bull's game in Chicago. Jordan was wiping the floor with (I think) the Celtics, and it was one of the first times I really bonded with my dad. I never got into sports, and have never had much in common with the old man, but that day taught me that despite those differences, we were a family. Since then, any time he's wanted my company to a game (lately it has been a lot of Hurricane hockey games), I've gone...not for the game itself, but because when we're there, I can somewhat identify with who he is, and he can identify with me as well. Sports...bringing families closer : )

  16. From Patton Oswalt's FB:
  17. http://www.bostonglobe.com/2013/04/15/gGfF...jE8M/story.html Raw video of the bomb and some aftermath. Not TOO gruesome (there's a little blood seen at one point), but still terrifying to see in such...clarity. Those screams.... You can hear and somewhat see the 2nd one go off too. Ugh.
  18. Name:Cяєepy / Pug Me! Steam I.D:STEAM_0:0:8972426 Reasons for the Ban:TW Recommended duration of ban:3 days Demo Provided?: N; was warned against team wounding AFKs (apparently did it 11 times to LEON), then rocketed one right when map ended.
  19. There's too much money in my wallet for me to sit down comfortably.
  20. Really well done! When I saw it was 13mins, I was like...no, too long, bad Cube...but you kept spicing it up and it remained fairly entertaining throughout. I'm impressed.
