hmmmmm ill keep researching the problem Lystad. Also is this just crashing for Insurgency or is it for all games? PS: I'm experiencing some problems running my bootcamped version of windows and i cant launch anything on it so im working off my mac. Just bear with me ill try and have another option for you in a little while.

So just to clarify the game is crashing when you try to play but it will load up to the menu just fine? Will the game just crash and exit or will it close out steam all together? I have a few ideas as to what might be wrong with it: 1. Something could be wrong in the files when you downloaded the game causing it to crash, try reinstalling the game/restarting your comp and see if it fixes the problem which has worked for me in the past. 2. Another thing i found searching forums is that the steam store is the cause for some crashes of games. This was the fix that was offered which seemed to work for many people "To avoid the crashing you simply do not load the Store page in the same session as gaming. By default the Store page is the first thing that will load once Steam has opened, and that causes the problem. To prevent the Store page from loading go to Steam Preferences and click the "INTERFACE" tab. The second dropdown box should be your "Favorite window" option. Change it to "Library", then click "OK". Now relaunch Steam. Steam will open and your games Library will load up. Now you should be able to game without Steam crashing! Provided you don't load the Store page, if you want to view the Store in Steam make sure you relaunch it before gaming." Let me know if that works for you, if it doesn't or if the problem resolves itself somehow.

So i actually forget how I came across this game. There not much yet, because its still on kickstarter, but reading whats there now makes it sound like itll be a really well put together game. My iphone just recently broke due to stupid reasons, and i cant get a replacement. So I am willing to destroy my already broken phone. Yeah that is not an option for that network. It will not let me access or change its settings. Or even diagnose the network

I believe that there is a problem on my end, because using the same cable I can connect to the same network using Mac's and other laptops/PCs. It just seems to be on my end. Is there any possible way to identify the network and change its settings without changing the firewall?

That sounds exactly like the problem Blue, but turning off the firewall for both public and private/work networks did nothing. It still changes to an unidentified network, and I cannot seem to change it to a different one

Let me just clarify for myself, is your problem that Steam will just not run DayZ? Or will it currently just not run any game and crash. I had a similar problem running DoD:S earlier this year and got a similar error but I fixed it with redownloading steam, and updating everything that I needed to.

I am running Windows 7. My computer recognizes the "Network" (as it's listed on the computer and it is identified as a Work network) when the Ethernet cable is connected. While it is connected to this, I do have the ability to log on to the network's sign-in page and it will notify me that I'm connected. After which it will change to "Unidentified network" and listed as a public network. It will not let me change the network from its public status on my computer or allow me to identify or configure it PS. I know very little in regard to Windows 7 so the simpler the better

I am currently connecting to the internet via my universities network using a Ethernet cable. The computer will connect to the network, which then leads to a log in page when opening a browser. After signing in to the page, it will then notify me that I am connected to the internet, but my computer will somehow disconnect from the current network and change to a public network which doesn't let me access the internet.
