  1. Woz I think that this an excellent idea and a good project. I spent a good 2 hours fixing my signature the other day so that when you hover over the medal it displays what the medal stands for. I am sure the Lt. Col. would not mind if you took this momentous project off his hands. Moffat assisted me with correct formatting for the code, maybe send him a PM, he might be able to help.
  2. Good Work everyone. Ticket closed.
  3. Understood. There are such programs. I will assess how to further help you after consulting a few of my technicians. Be patient please,
  4. It appears that we have exhausted all means of correcting the problem. From what you have said and what we have tried to fix this issue it is still up in the air as to the problem. I can see ways it would be hardware, software or even Steam itself. I will continue to look for ways to fix this problem but for now I am marking it unresolved until further notice and will leave it open for a time.
  5. Did you verify your game cache? In the library view right click on Day of Defeat and do properties. There should be a tab that lets you verify the game cache integrity. See if that helps and I will continue to research.
  6. Did the changes that we suggested fix your problem?
  7. I tend to agree on the the latter part as well Lt. Col. I have had that happen myself, the picture goes and the sound stays and all I can do is reboot my system. Try taking a can of air and blowing the dust out of the inside of your case, the dust can cause the video card/processor to overheat. As far as someone helping you via ventrilo, right now not many of our technicians are around during the day, I am personally at work. It would have to be in the evening sometime. Thanks for the assist Lt. Col.!
  8. Upon researching the Steam ID and looking for previous bans I found none. This appears to be a new account and the individual is based in Brazil where lag may come into play as to what appears to happening. Additionally there is no other witnesses I am reducing the ban to 1 week. If he is doing what you say, he can think about if he wants to do it again.
  9. Ohhhhh...NOW I get it.
  10. Need a technician to look at this.

  12. My bad, I remember now. I guess they didn't really explain how they got the info on the first Death Star, hence what the movie is about. doh
  13. Glad we could help. Ticket Closed.
  14. YERRRR! Congrats Wilson!
  15. Mon Mothma from A New Hope: "Many Bothans died to bring us this information"
  16. Looks like you have everything installed, have checked for heat and other driver issues. How does the computer stand now? Have you tried the game and do you get the same problem?
  17. It appears you are doing all the correct things Vranic. When you update the MoBo all drivers, including USB, should be updated. Keep us posted.
  18. Unfortunately your Steam ID has also been permanently banned by us for similar suspicion in 2012. Unless changed by another officer the ban will stay in effect.
  19. Ok, keep us posted. Any other Technicians got any ideas?
  20. Just the basics. Was the computer off the shelf or did you build it? If off the shelf, did it come loaded with Vista? If the computer came loaded with vista (which is pretty old now and not supported anymore by Microsoft) then some of the hardware may not be compatible with Windows 10. Have you updated the system to the latest drivers for Motherboard, video card etc? Have you done any Windows updates since you switched? Even if the hardware is old then there might be a compatible driver out there. You may also need to run the driver itself in compatibility mode. Make sure that the computer has all the latest updates, there may be a fix in there. When is the last time you cleaned the computer case of dust and dirt? The computer may be clogged with dust, especially in the processor and video card areas, this may cause the computer to overheat in an intensive game and the computer may simply shut down to protect itself. Also make sure there is plenty of room around the computer, do not have it in a confined space below a desk, this makes the computer heat up twice as fast. These are a few ideas to try, the problem may or not be software related but hardware or a combination of both. In the future, please use the proper request form, I will correct it for you.
  21. Great Work everyone! There is a ton of good reads in here!
  22. Looks like this is resolved. Closing ticket.
