  1. Grats Gilmore!
  2. Day 8: I had a pretty busy day doing other RL stuff but eventually got on in the evening. I got on the Pistoleer and tried some unique missions. A normal mission will get me about 3-4k credits solo but I joined a group in the Cantina in Theed, got my entertainer buffs and stayed in the group. I went over to the Med Center and got my Doc buffs then when I went to the mission Terminal the mission rewards were in the 10k - 14k range. That was more like it, so I grabbed a few and was off. I didnt realize how hard they would be however, I spent the next hour or so kiting fambaa's around and eventually taking them out one by one(they are the big dinosaur looking animals the Gungan's used in Episode One to carry their shield generators.) My character is pretty short, so the sheer height of these huge ass creatures compared to me was kind of humorous. I finished out the two missions and the count was 16 fambaas down, 6 incapacitations and 29k in the bank. I got one later with Grenoble and we tried a few and I got half the money but it is always more fun with a buddy. We also found a good place to but weapons near the Theed waterfall. I picked up a few more pieces of composite armor to up my stats a bit. Another fun day playing the game.
  3. Well done everyone! Thank you sir!
  4. Congrats Perwild! Looks awesome!
  5. Day 7: Started off the day by making my Artisan character. Artisans in SWG can make anything from furniture, weapons, clothing, vehicles or housing. They also can survey land and gind the best place to put harvester down. This in turns provides energy for their machines and the raw resources to craft their products. If you want to produce on a mass, automated scale you can set up a factory and when the factory run is finished make your own automated vendors in player made shops. It is truly a unique economy that is booming on the server. My new toon, aptly names "Dreem May'ker" set up a house on Naboo and began to move things into it to prepare for his new career. Afterwards I finished out my last block of Pistol in the Marksman tree and started up the more specialized Pistoleer tree. I got a sweet Featherweight FWG5 pistol from a weapons vendor that Grenoble told me about and off to missions to make some cash. It was another awesome day in the Star Wars Universe.
  6. I agree Arsenault, there is a definite line where a little free-spirited fun ends and irresponsibility begins. The guy in the article is an example to all others that would try this to heed.
  7. Happy Birthday Guys! ..And Many more!
  8. Day 6: Was a pretty long Saturday. Got up in the morning and started focusing on the Pistoleer again. I saw 2ndLt. Kirkendall on vent and hopped down to talk. We had a good chat about our experiences in the game back in the day and he got up and running. He made a brawler and started to become familiar with the game again by knocking some heads. We did our own thing for awhile and eventually Grenoble got on the game. I had to take a break for a little RL, but when I came back later that night they had been playing awhile a having a lot of fun. Smithers popped in for a sec and told us about the 7 foot Wookiee brawler he made with a bigass axe and how he was going to F*&k shit up. Later in the evening WO. Griswold joined the merry band and made a doctor/carbineer (Grenoble talked him into it, heh) We went out and did missions, it was a blast. We told Gris to hang back but inevitably he would get a mob on him and get incapacitated. The best one was the time we were all focusing on the mission objective and out of nowhere Gris runs by with a couple of mobs on him and I turned just in time to see him get incapacitated again. Sorry Gris, but it was funny as hell! Stick to healing brother. Till next time.
  9. Awesome! Glad to have you aboard. My character names are Luang Caribeen and Blastormann Trickshot. I can get you some startup credits if you want. Hope to see you in game Sir! FYI Grenoble has a link to get the software if need be.
  10. Happy Birthday Sanborne! And many more!
  11. Day 5: Started a new character tonight. When I played SWG before I had a Master Pistoleer/Combat medic which I loved so I started him up again. At the character creation skill I built a Luke Skywalker type character down to his parted blonde haircut and added a soul patch for grins. Went out and grinded a few levels to get to the third block of Pistol, then went to the bazaar and bought a kickass Scout Blaster (the ones used in Episode VI) I then proceeded to get buffed up and back to missions. I plan on getting a medium Naboo House and park it outside of Theed with this character and decorate to up with banners, pictures and furniture. I might even get a pet to drop in it. You truly can do just about anything with the game, its more fun every day I play it!
  12. The opening credits have the JTL logo but it hasn't been implemented in games yet
  13. Day 4: Smithers got up and running last night and picked to be a doctor. He was healing Grenoble and I on missions and trying not to get killed. We got buffs from Doctors, Entertainers and Musicians to up all of our stats so we could tackle higher missions. We showed Smithers the ropes, gave him a few credits to get a Swoop and a few armor pieces and bounced back and forth between Tatooine and Naboo getting missions and taking in the sights. Smithers said he might make a brawler as his next character to deal some close combat experience and I am thinking about working on my Scout. Just another day on the game. Till Next time!
  14. It was just a bit of fun Lloyd I play with Euros all the time and I never have put much stock in the "lag armor" thing anyway heh
  15. Day 3: Didn't get to play much but did a few things that are unique to the game. Chilled in my house moved some furniture around, then declared residency and paid maintenance (if you don't pay down maintenance the structures begin to degrade in time and eventually` you'll come back to a burning structure, its actually quite funny to see) Then I hopped on the Swoop, went into Mos Eisley and went to a Parking Garage. The Garage allows you to pay money to fix your vehicle (they degrade too) then went to do a few missions and earn some cash. No quite as exciting as before but still fun as hell. I will post some screen shots or videos soon. Till then, May the Force be with You.(Always) Sidenote: Grenoble played a lot longer than me yesterday and now is a full Carbineer with almost a full set of composite armor (its the best at low level) and shit-ton of credits...things can move fast with the right motivation and time....I guess hes "too OP" now heh
  16. Bye bye Lag Armor
  17. Give Grenoble a message, he's got a link I think.
  18. Sorry Smithers no dice. Yes Sir, it is indeed before NGE, its the whole point of the mod...I just finished out Rifles III last night, working on Master Rifleman then maybe Bounty Hunter but I don't see the point since Jedi's haven't been introduced yet. Its like a Gaming time machine set for 2003.
  19. Day 2: Well, the game is much better with a buddy. Grenoble got up and running last night and we had a fun time running around Tatooine f**king shit up. I got my rifle skills up and got a better rifle and all Grenoble could say was that I was "too OP" while I one shot mobs. He got a new carbine but couldnt use it because he didnt have his skills up and got pissed off heh. At the end of the day I bought a small Tatooine home and put a few furnishings in it. Ah, just another day on the game. More to come. As a side not if anyone is interested in playing, Grenoble had a link to get the software you might send him a message, the more the merrier!
  20. Sorry to hear about your medical condition guys. Get yourselves well, that is first and foremost. Post an LOA or ELOA if needed, the Unit will still be here when you get back.
  21. They have 2 servers around 2000 active players on one server and about 50 on the test server.
  22. Well, I did it. I dug up my old SWG disks (You have to have the original ones from '04), installed the game and loaded the SWGEMU (Star Wars Galaxies Emulator) mod and Voila! I am back to 2004 and starting as a noob again. It has been fun exploring the worlds ( I started on Tatooine and now I am on Naboo) with my Trandoshan Marksman name Luang Caribeen (a reference to the Last of the Mohicans movie, heh) and just made enough money to buy a Speederbike Swoop (the fastest vehicle around at low levels). I got killed a few times by Jabba's henchmen on a mission but I remain undaunted as I went into the Cantina, had a drink and watched dancers and listened to musicians to relieve my battle fatigue. Then over to the hospital to have a nice Combat medic heal my wounds. I then proceeded to hop on my newly acquired Swoop, stop by the mission terminal, grab a few missions and head out to make enough cash to buy an upgraded rifle or maybe a new home. Yes, the Star Wars Universe is truly my oyster. If anyone used to play this game and wants to again, it is always more fun in groups. Here is the SWGEMU website that'll tell you what you need... http://www.swgemu.com/forums/content.php Until then I'll keep you posted on my adventures.
  23. I have never played it but Why Not if its free? Ill look into it this week.
  24. Yes you can save it. Why don't we get a list together of people that play and with what expansions: I'll start it. 1. TSgt. Candy; Civ V with all current expansions to Brave New World 2. 1stLt. M. McDowell; Civ V with all expansions 3. Gearhart' Civ V with no expansions...unless someone wants to buy for me 4. 5.
  25. Ok man, get back with us if we can help again
