Also, sometimes if you come in from another server, their MOTD message appears briefly (a few seconds) before reverting to the default.

*Salute* I think it was because in the Pacific, alot of important information was passed along the radio waves since field phones didn't work as well due to the weather/jungle, whereas in ETO, field phones were used for the HQ to HQ orders. That's my 2 cents worth, at least. (also because even in the pacific, the number of people were stretched thin).
