So when you take out the capture card are you connecting to the the monitor directly with the HDMI to DVI cable or a DVI to DVI cable? -

If you have a card that has an extra port or one that supports a DVI spiller then you could mirror your desktop and connect your capture card to that additional port. -

It could be the cable causing this too. Do you have another cable or monitor to test with? -
I prefer to place my cutstom binds in the autoexec.cfg file in the same directory as the config.cfg file in the same directory. You may have to create this file if it is not there already. The autoexec.cfg is less likely to be overwritten by the game in the future.

A big thanks indeed to McDowell for providing the great gift for the contest! I'm glad you like the headphones Wanner. You're a good guy and you deserve them. Thanks for the kind words but it was really not that big of a deal -

I don't disagree that our healthcare system is a complete mess and we are not perfect, but I will say that our predecessors did get these things right!

Please try placing your files under the following folder. You will have to make a folder with the name of your Steam account under the custom folder. These files worked for me. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Day of Defeat Source\dod\custom\[your Steam ID here]\ -

Ok so we got this figured out. Mullaney had saved her commands like medic and r_cleardecals in a word processor and was copying and pasting these commands. The problem is with the quote symbols when they are saved in this format (rich text). Basically the command cannot be read with these enhanced quotes so you need to use the basic quotes. Below is an example: enhanced quotes “ ” standard quotes " " This is why I like saving my commands in a text document and use Notepad or my favorite Notepad++ to edit the file. Your right Gearhart that the commands end up being saved in the config.cfg file by the game itself but it is best to use the autoexec.cfg to store your custom binds. For example when the unbindall command is executed the autoexec.cfg file would not be touched by that and can be managed separately. Also you can put a lot of config in the autoexec.cfg without fear of it being overwritten by Steam since they like to control the config.cfg.
-
Please try going to "Options" --> "Keyboard" tab and click "Use Defaults". This will of course reset all the keys and you will have to rebind everything (which would have been done anyway with unbindall). Are you using an autoexec.cfg file to keep all your custom binds? I suspect that you may be that your not if you have lost your medic and decal binds. I would suggest using something like this to help manage your binds. If you need help just let me know. Thanks, Heresy
