Rich Peverley collapsed on the bench during the Blue Jackets-Stars game today. He has been taken to hospital and is apparently conscious. I understand that he has a heart condition that kept him from the preseason and has caused him to miss some games recently.

It is legit. If it is something i hate in sports its this kind of thing. I agree with everything Forsberg is saying, why Canadian referees when there are plently of other ref's to choose from. I dont care if they are good referees i dont care if they are highly respected. I want a good and equal match with independent referees. And also of course Canadians and other people wont see it as an issue. I do however. And also if these refs will be judging the match tomorrow and Canada wins i will be so damn pissed.

So you would rather have other refs who are not as highly accredited? It is not easy to ref a hockey game, and I think it benefits the game to have more talented officiating, especially at such a high level.

I recognize that my view may be biased, but as someone who has seen these officials ref hundreds of games I don't expect any issues.

I can see why it could be perceived as an issue, but I can't honestly say that I think it will change the course of the game. The biggest and most important game needs to be officiated by the most talented and experienced referees. Is it a surprise that those refs would also come from the worlds most passionate hockey nation?

If there was any foul play it would ruin the refs careers and cast doubt on the outcome of the game. These guys are professionals.

Hack at the goaltender. Yes I'm aware that same player was warned, but why would you let something like that continue all throughout the game then all of a sudden call it on that. It wasn't even a slashing motion. During regulation one of the US skaters did almost take the goalies head off. The entire penalty in itself was questionable and it changed the direction of the game along with when the ref got in the dam way of that Canadian player just before OT.

The trip on the breakaway was legit, it was obvious she got pushed in the shoulder and she should have gotten a penalty shot. Again if they won on that good for them, but still.

Crosschecking was legit cause cmon she was down on the ground already and getting one to the face ain't good.

No offense to your opinion Gooderham it was a good game no doubt about it. Canada made a good comeback, but to me refs played a hand in changing the direction of the game and that doesn't sit well with me no matter who wins.

Yes, no disrespect towards you either. While I disagree with your opinion that the refs unfairly altered the outcome of the game, I do agree that it was an enjoyable game to watch. Well done to both teams.

Exciting womens hockey game. Shocked that Canada came back in the last 3 minutes, but refs ruined the game. If the win was just straight up legit then I'd be ok with it, but when refs determine the outcome of the game its sickening. Standing in the way of one of the Canadian players and letting the puck out of the zone. Slashing call on what was not even a slash to begin with and has happened dozens of times throughout the game. Making it a 5 on 3 when it should have been a penalty shot and I'm not even sure that player was touched on the breakaway, I could be wrong. Calling a penalty just for the sake of calling one to even things up is retarded. GG Canada, but the refs of that game left a sour taste in it.

That was a ridiculous crosschecking call 2 seconds before the slashing call. Both teams had been warned to stop hacking at the goaltenders and the play prior, which garnered Canada the crosschecking penalty, was a defender protecting her goalie from the same type of play. And yes, that should definitely have been a penalty shot, but had we scored Team USA fans would be saying the same thing.

Boring game yes, but brilliant technical battle.

First off this add is in poor taste. I am offended buy singing my National Anthem in other languages. Am I offended to the point of protest? No.

This add would have been 100% better if they played it in English and then had all of the pictures and videos of the people from different nationalities that make up this great Country.

This great Country was a melting pot of diverse nationalities who came here and blended into America. Becoming American meant learning the language, the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem, in English. Other nationalities took PRIDE in learning English and becoming citizens of our Country.

Today many people want to come to America and get all of the freedoms and benefits that this Country has to offer but say FUCK YOU to blending in. They are lazy and want to make no changes, they just want to take everything we have to offer. They expect that we will put street signs and highway signs in their language to make it easier for them. Every document and add you see should be in their language. You go to a store to buy a lamp and the freaking directions are in 5 separate languages. How much does that cost that lamp company to produce those directions even if they only sell in the USA?

Anyone that thinks this is ridiculous, think about this. We are about to have the Olympic Games in Russia. When your country competes and your athletes win the gold, silver and bronze and are up at that podium. How would you feel if instead of your National Anthem, in your language, they played your anthem in Russian, German, English, Spanish or Chinese. Would you be offended? Yes you would!

I predicted the Broncos-Seahawks superbowl in September. It was a hilarious game to watch as a Seahawks fan. The NFC championship game was way more competitive.

Im pretty sure the Canucks season is over. We have to many injuries and not enough depth.

Can't ignore the fact that Team Canada has the scariest and probably the most deadliest forwards and some solid defense. Not sold on the goalie situation.

PLEASE. I would rather have any of Luongo, Price or Smith over Bobrovksy.
