  1. Microsoft's Xbox One preorder information page states that the console will only support Live in only 21 countries at launch, and therefore presumably won't work anywhere else. Australia Austria Belgium Brazil Canada Denmark Finland France Germany Ireland Italy Mexico Netherlands New Zealand Norway Russia Spain Sweden Switzerland United Kingdom United States So the XBoner will not be sold in countries unlisted, but also will not work. So a person living in any other country cannot purchase a XBoner to bring back to their homeland for play. I realize it won't affect the vast majority of gamers, but it's still a big bag of middle fingers to a lot of people. Countries like Poland, Portugal, China, Korea, Argentina, and Japan are left out in the cold for aspiring XBoner fans. They pretty much just forgot about Asia.
  2. Can't find a video at all for this :'( Since they didn't actually announce HL3 that would make sense. Valve never attends E3, so I wouldn't hold out hope that they're going to this year.
  3. I wrote this before they announced the un-exclusivity of the titles. Which was about an hour ago as of this. I was going off of previous versions of Final Fantasy.
  4. Without proposed designs, I'll say as I have before regarding the topic, there's no way to move forward. Also, if any of you read that and decide to make a design, remember to refrain from copyrighted materials or symbols owned by the United States government.
  5. E3 so far has been the big reveals that some were waiting for for the console race. Are you getting one? Why or why not? Will you just disregard the consoles and stick to the glorious PC master race? Bring on the discussion! In this corner, You have the Xbox One. Pricing in at $499 US, the Xbox One comes equipped with an AMD 8 core APU (2 Quad-Core Jaguar modules), Blu-Ray disc player with advertised full 4K support, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, and a 500GB HD. Hosting a hefty basket of exclusive titles, such as Halo 5, Forza, Killer Instinct, Ryse: Son of Rome, and others to come especially thanks to an agreement signed with EA for numerous exclusives including some sports. The Xbox One will ship with a new Kinect, using a 1080p wide-angle camera. The Xbox One will not function without the Kinect sensor connected. However, all of the features can be turned off on the Kinect itself. Focusing heavily on media playback and Smart features, the Xbox One looks to be well equipped. Microsoft has moved from 15,000 servers supporting the Xbox 360 to 300,000 for their new console. Cloud storage will be a new additional feature, pending subscriptions. Between XBox SmartGlass and the ability to record your own gameplay and add commentary at will, the Xbox One is well equipped with loads of bells & whistles. An Internet connection will be required for extended use of the XBox One. Reports recommend a broadband connection of at least 1.5 mbps. You won't have to connect to the internet at all times, rather the console will work offline for a period of 24 hours on your home account. If you log into a friend's console, you may play for an hour before it needs an internet check-in. These restrictions include games which are single-player and have no online capabilities. Multiple accounts on the same box are able to share games, and up to ten people can be designated "family members". These family members will have access to the full library of their other family members, and up to one can play at the same time as the original owner. Used games can be bought and sold at participating retailers, dependent on each game publisher. In the other corner, The PlayStation 4 Pricing in at $399 US, the PlayStation 4 comes with a Semi-custom 8-core AMD x86-64 CPU (integrated into APU), Blu-Ray disc player, 8 GB DDR5 RAM, BlueTooth support, and a 500 GB HD. Although the PS4 will be able to play 4K Blu-ray movies, it is not suspected to render games at 4K. Boasting some equally heavy exclusives, such as Final Fantasy, Infamous, Killzone, and Kingdom Hearts, the PS4 will be a powerful competitor. The PS4 can be used with a redesigned PlayStation Eye camera. The unit includes two 1280x800 cameras which allow for different modes of operation based on the applications. The system is not dependent on the camera to be functional, rather it is a separate accessory that can be purchased at will. With the use of a PlayStation Vita, Sony hopes to be able to send all games played on the console wirelessly to the Vita for Remote Play. Developers can add their own specific controls for use with the design. The PlayStation 4 will not require an internet connection for play, but Sony thinks that their new lineup of Smart features are too enticing to avoid. After redesigning their interface, the PS4 homescreen will be personalized for content from friends. It will be possible to multitask freely, such as opening a web browser while playing a game. The controller itself includes a SHARE button, allowing you to focus back through the last 15 minutes of gameplay and post a screenshot or video clip to social media or other PSN users. Sony is also introducing the elevated use of the PlayGo feature, which will allow a player to play a downloading game while it is being downloaded. There will be no change in how used games are handled from Sony. In short, XBox One - $500 US, XBox Live membership - $60 per year. PS4 - $400 US, PS+ membership - $50 per year. Whose side will you be on? Or will you join me in the Glorious PC Master Race?
  6. For spite, in the books Summer was not caged up. He was killing soldiers in an attempt to get to Robb. Afterwards they cut the head off of Summer and sowed it onto Robb Starks body. Why was Bran's wolf with Robb? Grey Wind was Robb's wolf. But yea, all that other shit happened. Also I feel like the Red Wedding was more gruesome in the book. I seem to remember Catelyn literally sawing off the wife's head with the knife. Also Parker, you can't expect to join a spoilers thread without a hint of a spoiler.
  7. Oh, how delicious the "Rains of Castamere" was watching with people who have not read the books. Speaking of the entire 9th episode, not just the song.
  8. Except as of right now, you don't have 970. You have 969, because the Slope Chute doesn't give you post count.
  9. Starting at US $1,999.99. Increase the size of the drive maxing out at US $2,399.99
  10. Your ban was for 10 minutes and in fact has already expired. If you do not know who the banning admin was, how do you know he was telling someone off in an "authoritative" way? Regardless, it does you no good to act the wounded victim in this scenario. The banning admin is Lt. Col. Parker, and I believe he knows the restraint necessary. Your ban has expired, feel free to continue play in the server.
  11. Porn's already on there. I don't think they needed to say it twice.
  12. Email. But porn is a close second. Got to take care of that morning wood. Wait, what?
  13. 1. Windows 95 2. Windows 98 3. Windows 2000 4. Windows ME 5. Windows XP 6. Windows Vista 7. Windows 7 Am I missing something? And don't not count ME because it was only out for a year.
  14. Argue semantics? Do you know the meaning of the word? Disregarding the obvious flaws in how you equate two entirely different products makes this a forum where you can rant with no point. We should, therefore, allow people to resell apples they've taken a bite of. After all, a product is a product. Can't argue the difference between an apple and a video game, because apparently there's not a difference. You can't retort because that's semantics. Have fun with the "public rejecting them" when all the new games are being released on new consoles. The layman probably won't know the difference once it lands. You don't see me retrofitting an old PC to play Full Throttle, since the new systems cannot play it. And yes, there will probably be sales. With the release of Sony's 4K TV they stated their intent to distribute more content digitally through cloud software. what's that? Both consoles have a heavy emphasis on cloud software? Oh my. Cross platform competition to start chipping away at Valve.
  15. So do you hate PC gaming because you cannot buy used? If anything Sony and Microsoft would be doing a favor by allowing pre-owned at all. Where are these fee numbers you're coming up with coming from? Those are from installing the game on your console. What about just taking the disc and playing it? They didn't say you'd have to install it to play. It'll probably be easier to install it to play it but i doubt that's the only way. You said it yourself, this generation is basically a computer. And you expect the companies making the living room computers to treat them like consoles still. These are using the frameworks of computers. It's unfair to expect the companies to keep these consoles the same as they've always been. Or else I expect you to stop using Steam. You weaken your argument by equating used games to buying other products like televisions or cars. It's a logical fallacy and doesn't make sense.
  16. *gasp*! You mean to tell me that DotA 2 isn't the most popular game online!? Man, you'd have thought I said it was equivalent in player numbers! Not that I said they are both very popular games. Never mind that DotA 2 is the second most popular game right now, behind League. Well I guess every other game out there "pales in comparison" to League because no other game has the player statistics! We should all bow down to WoW as the god of all MMOs because it had the highest player base. I'll just stop playing any other game because of numbers! That must mean everything! Disregarding everything I said at first especially that DotA 2 is unreleased! Disregarding that LoL has a two year advantage and that it is absolutely free so their player numbers are skewed! Disregarding all smurf accounts that wouldn't be near as easy to create repeatedly, or spammer accounts! Just because a game is younger and has less players doesn't mean it pales in comparison. How else does a company promote a game that is not free to play and unreleased? Unless you pay $30, you don't have access to the game. Sure, they hand out freebies, but that doesn't equal going to leagueoflegends.com, downloading a free client, and creating a free account. Last time I checked DotA 2 ties your account to your Steam account. $30 for a smurf? No thanks. Just because DotA 2 doesn't have a fancy flow chart means absolutely nothing.
  17. I'm sure Valve is completely worried about DotA 2 population. Especially since LoL is based off of the 1st DotA. Or, this has been their marketing strategy from the start. As of right now, DotA 2 is technically unreleased and it's very popular, just as LoL is.
  18. Reviving this topic because Steam just gave me 4 extra copies to hand out. Who wants 'em?
  19. Steelseries Sensei
  20. Lord, I hated Avatar. But IMAX is the shit. They do everything right with picture quality and audio quality. Also, I hated all 3D films until I saw IMAX: Under the Sea.
  21. Yes, this game is F2P. It is a very striped down version, but it is F2P. Also, probably going to be Imps on Bastion.
  22. Mike Swartz and I are looking at rolling out on the Bastion for anyone who wants to join us. If I can't transfer any toons, I'm going to have to start from scratch by the looks of it.
