So let's disregard the Court's ruling because there was a dissenting opinion?

I clicked the topic expecting this: That's alright, I got something else to look forward to!

I'm not sure where your interpretation of the 2nd Amendment is coming from, that only well-regulated militias have the right to bear arms. In fact, that goes directly against the Supreme Court's decision in District of Columbia v. Heller 554 U.S. 570 (2008). It's fine to dissent with the Court's opinion, but that was the Court's decision.

I have a CCW, and I carry a Springfield XD. Am I a danger to others? Not in the least. Have I even once had to fire, draw, or even put my hand on my weapon in public? No. Much of the gun control legislation being introduced limits the legal magazine size to seven rounds. It also renders semi-automatic weapons illegal. Notice, if you will, that much of the legislation being introduced does not draw distinctions between a semi-automatic pistol or handgun and an semi-automatic assault rifle. Therefore my pistol will become illegal on two counts, being semi-automatic and having a thirteen round magazine. So, the Federal government will have disarmed me. The Second Amendment is a protection for the American people against a government that would as soon force a multitude of things on its people. That is why people are calling President Obama a monarch. Of course he's legally elected, and many worse names have been thrown at him and at his enemies. Is the government a tyranny right now? No, not in the least. However, this is a protection put in place to ensure that if the time were to come that the government is forcing unjust things upon the people, they have a readily available way to defend themselves.

Definitely made by someone who doesn't understand Star Wars. Especially since numerous beam-ons in Star Trek were stopped by an opponent ship's shields being up. Which Star Destroyers have ample of. Those two little balls on the top of the ship do represent shield generators after all. Also, photon torpedoes were in use in Star Wars. (two destroyed the first Death Star after all) But, they're normally reserved as a heavy armament for fightercraft that cannot support a turbolaser battery. Turbolasers, which can easily dwarf the power of a photon torpedo in heat generation, are usually represented by dozens of heavy stations, and hundreds of light stations on a standard Kuat Drive Yards Star Destroyer. Not to mention phasers are typically rated just as effective against shields (and less so against armor) and only represented by a handful of stations on a ship equal size to the Enterprise. In a war between the Federation and the Empire, the Federation would be annihilated. Heavy language sure, but to paraphrase Captain Picard, "The Federation has over 150 planets in its control spread across 8000 light years." The Empire encompasses an entire galaxy. For scale, the Milky Way represents 100,000 - 120,000 light-years with 200-400 billion stars. Is every planet under the Empire's direct control? No, that would be ridiculous. But you can expect a definite higher number than the Federation. Finally, LAZERs are more of a brand name than the technology laser. Don't get me wrong, I love both series of movies, shows, and books, but militarily the Galactic Empire would decimate the Federation.

My Bluray isn't connecting to the internet
Kirkendall 1st MRB replied to Ultranator BAR's topic in Mess Hall
I would contest that. Especially because of Samsung's recent decision to release the E5400 blu-ray, which is a complete PoS for internet functions. On top of that, I think the Samsung have garnered the most complaints per capita sold out of my BBY, probably except for the Toshiba players. I currently like the Sony BDP-S390 or the Panasonic DMP-BDT220 -
I received an email at work, I have at least one (maybe more) extra copies to give out. Who wants?

- right click on computer (in your start menu) - go in properties (or on the left side under control panel) - advanced system settings - in the advanced tab, click settings in performance - add the game in the Data Execution Prevention exception list I have had this issue with previous games, this was a workable solution.

Unban Request;

Your ban was for 3 days, and is hence expired. I don't see your Steam ID in our database. Attempt to connect to the servers again, if you are unsuccessful, repost here again. -
The forum is not the place to discuss potentially illegal activities. 31 U.S.C. §§ 5361-5367 and all that.

Would that be if you signed while waving an American flag? Like pulled a Patrick Henry while signing? Is it considered rebellious to sign it? -
Is Haken like Hawken? I clicked on this topic hoping to read about Haken.

It seems like they just ranked it on average speeds "provided". So for example, Mediacom is supposed to provide 25 mbps to my house, only to be down half the time and provide horrible customer service. Actually, now that I think about it, they haven't gone down in a while and I've had smooth sailing recently. Good on you Mediacom.

I'd agree with this. My friend started with a Sig P250, pretty good starter gun.

In Tochlight, the game is named after a mining town built above a rich vein of a substance known as Ember. Ember has the potential to create magic and magical items, hence why many adventurers are being drawn to it. Throughout the first Torchlight, you'd learn that the Ember, while being powerful, also corrupts. It has caused the fall of many before, and now will threaten the entire world if unheeded. In the first game, you enter the town relatively unknown, but a alchemist's assistant hires you to find her mentor. Upon entering the mines, you will encounter Aldric the Alchemist pretty quickly, but alas he has been corrupted by the Ember. You fight your way through a veritable "layer cake" of past civilizations that have fallen due to Ember. Eventually, you will come to the source of the corruption, and you must fight Aldric as well as an ancient creature. I don't want to cause confusion here, so I'll specify. One of the classes you could choose to be in the first Torchlight was also named the Alchemist, and was the mage class for the the game. There was the Destroyer for warrior class, and Vanquisher for rogue. Kinda gives the Alchemist a more trivial name huh? Well, in Torchlight II, he's apparently pissed about his lack of cool name. He takes the Heart of Ordrak, the ancient creature with Aldric, and uses its corruptible power to become strong. He destroys the town of Torchlight and begins to cause general havoc everywhere. Stop him! As for the Witcher 2, you'll get a look into some Slavic culture. In Slav lore, a vedmak (witcher) is a male version of the female witch. Go figure with such a creative name huh? A witcher doesn't necessarily have to be a bad force, unlike the female counterpart. For example, they treat people and animals, protect humanity and force witches to stop doing evil. In the context of the game, a witcher hunts monsters and evil in the same way a mercenary would. They're basically monster hunters for hire. Except, they are given strong powers through mutagens which allow them to become supernatural themselves. This way, a witcher can practice the magics he hunts. In Witcher 2, you'll play as Geralt of Rivia. To get into the lore of this one, I will say, spoiler warning I will tell you the end of the first game. Highlight the text that will be black if you want to read it. The reason I spoiler this but not Torchlight, is because Torchlight's story is a little less lore-intensive and really less storybased. Anyways, in the first game you are again Geralt and are hired by a king to cure his daughter of an awful disease that transforms her into beast at will. There is a lot going on in this story, and I'm going to skip to the end of it to save from me writing my own novel. Suffice to say, towards the end the king hires you to squash a rebellion headed by the Grand Master. He is the reason some bandits attacked the witcher compound earlier and like I said, there's a lot of different plotlines. Hence, the the title and setup for Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.
