VAC bans are not a reason to ban a player from the server. They can be complimentary of other reasons but in of themselves they are coincidental. VAC bans by themselves are not permanent worthy. Re edit the ban back to a month for improper behavior.

Because you're killing easy to kill people and dying to easy to kill people. If I'm ranked #1 in the server and I die to number 30,452 I'm going to lose way more poiints than if I had killed him. It's how most stat systems work. Also, anybody can live for a long time, you just camp in the back.
