  4. TSA Let a Convicted Felon Through PreCheck Lanes, DHS Watchdog Says A convicted felon and former member of a domestic terrorist group was allowed to use expedited airport security lines last summer, according to the Department of Homeland Security's internal watchdog. The DHS Inspector General's Office said Thursday a whistle-blower flagged the incident as a "significant aviation security breach," prompting an investigation. It issued a report saying that the traveler — who had convictions for murder and explosives offenses — had not applied for the Transportation Security Administration's PreCheck program but was selected for expedited security screening through the "risk assessment rules" in the Secure Flight program. A security officer at the airport recognized the felon and alerted his supervisor, but was told to "take no action" and allow the passenger through the TSA PreCheck lane, the Inspector General's Office's report said. "Mitigating and reducing passenger screening vulnerabilities is important to our nation's aviation security," Inspector General John Roth said in a statement. "Incidents like this highlight the need for TSA to modify their PreCheck procedures." TSA Precheck allows passengers who have been pre-approved to keep on their shoes and belt, not remove their jackets, keep their laptops inside their cases, and not have to remove select liquids and gels from their bags. The Inspector's General office said it had made two recommendations to prevent such incidents in the future and issued a classified report to the TSA regarding the need to modify PreCheck vetting and screening processes. The TSA said in a statement that it "takes its responsibility for protecting the traveling public very seriously" and continues to enhance its "layered security approach." All passengers, including those with TSA PreCheck marked on their boarding passes, are subject to "robust security," it said. Only in America do they let a KNOWN Terrorist through without checking him, and strip search a 90 year old AMERICAN woman.

    Disgraceful

An envelope mailed to the White House tested positive for cyanide, the Secret Service said. The envelope arrived on Monday at a facility elsewhere in the Washington area that screens mail for the White House. Biological tests were negative, but a chemical test on Tuesday came back positive for cyanide, the agency said. The envelope was sent to another facility to confirm the result. According to the website The Intercept, a law enforcement alert said that the return address was for a man who has a Secret Service record dating to 1995, including sending a package covered in urine and feces. The alert said that the envelope contained an "unknown milky substance" in a container wrapped in a plastic bag, The Intercept reported. The Secret Service had no further comment. This is a disgrace. I may not like Obama, but to mail a poison like this to the White House should never have happened. It puts the lives of innocent people at risk. Don't these idiots know that the President NEVER opens his own mail? None of the Presidents did. They should lock this idiot up in a mental institution., the guy who sent the letter, not the president. He belongs in jail.
  7. kool. Another Bad Ass Barry production. Nice shooting.
  8. Happy Birthday, Sir!
  9. Blizzard messed up bad and ruined some of their games. I used to play WoW until they ruined it. I will never play any other Blizzard game.
  10. its a big accomplishment to become an Eagle Scout. Congratz. I first learned my patriotism in the Scouts. They taught me a lot. To be Prepared for anything, to adapt and overcome it. They were the first to teach me not to be a quitter. It is a great organization.
  11. Thanks MSgt. Candy.
  12. Computers can overheat for a number or reasons and can present several problems. The first symptom of a computer overheating could be as simple as a blue screen of death, or as frustrating as the computer shutting itself down. When you think you have a heating problem, the first thing to do is check the outside of the computer around the ports where the fans draw air into the computer. Look for dust, the number one cause of overheating. You can clean this dust off several ways. A vacuum, a rag with a little Endust for electronics sprayed on it, canned air, or even a swiffer duster. next you want to open the side cover and look at the fans. If they are clogged, it will restrict airflow also. You especially want to check the heatsink fan for the processor. Here, you want to use canned air to remove it. Also check the Power supply fan. Blow that out with canned air also. Another thing to check is if the fans are turning. Look and see if the blades are turning when the power is on. Listen for noise. If the bearings are worn out or its so clogged with dirt they don't turn, you blow them out with air or replece them if that does not help. If you know how to, you can take the fans apart and clean them. If the computer is still overheating, one quick fix temporarily is to leave the side cover off and have a fan blowing into the tower. If this stops the problem then you know you have a problem. The most likely problem is the contact grease between your processor and heatsink is failing. if you are not computer savy, have a friend who is remove the heatsink and clean it off and replace the grease with the silver type. Do not use the white stuff. If you do not have a friend, they you will probably have to pay a technician to have it done. If the computer is over 5 years old, you may want to look at replacing it if you can. If you cannot, then you will have to make do with what you have. Another thing that will cause overheating is if your system is water cooled. The cooling solution will break down after 5 years or so, and may need to be replaced. They call it water cooled, but it is not really water. If it is a sealed unit, then just buy another heatsink and fan and have someone replace it if you do not know how. Another problem that will cause poor air circulation is the placement of the tower. Some people will place a tower on the floor. This will suck all the dust on the floor into the tower. Raise it off the floor with some bricks or books or a small stand. Never place a tower inside something where it cannot get air circulation. Placing a tower inside a computer desk will restrict airflow and cause it to overheat after a while. Better to place it on top where it can get plenty of circulation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact anyone in your friendly MSO Office for further advise. REMEMBER, the only dumb question is the one not asked.
  13. never watched it myself.
  14. So true. Bush warned this would happen if we pulled out early, yet Obama pulled the troops out. Obama said ISIS was just JV, and look at them now. How's that "Hope and Change" working for you now America. Idiots elected him not once, but twice. Obama deserves another term though. I suggest 25 to life.
  15. I believe also when an American Flag is retired and burned, the stars are separated from the stripes. it is then disposed of with dignity and respect. Remember also, that the Flag is used to drape the coffins of those that have died for their country. For that alone it deserves the utmost respect.
  16. actually, I leave my socks on. My feet get real cold otherwise.
  17. TOO LATE......Happy Birthday Teachey.
  18. Socks first
  19. kind of gives you a sense of pride. to be in a gaming unit named after such great Marines. A unit with such a proud history. I wonder what a unit like that might have accomplished if they had not been disbanded. Its always the units that the upper brass don't like that do the best. Look at the Tuskeegee Airmen, the Japanese unit fighting the Germans, and the Marine Raiders. Look also at the Aircraft Carriers that the Admirals though would be no good against the Japanese. They had faith in their Battleships. I wonder how many times that mistake has been made throughout history. people in power always holding onto the old and not wanting to embrace the new.
  20. I would never insult you like that Chief. You have taught me so much to make me a better Marine. Also know that I do not respond well to threats. lol. I did not pick you Chief, but I will not say who I did pick.
  21. You make it difficult for me. I don't want to insult Mr. Quarterman. I like and respect him not only for his skill and his Rank/position, but also as a person. Britton is just a young private. he is learning. I could have easily been picked when I was just an old inexperienced private. Sigh, decisions decisions. Maybe I will pick my son.
  22. Happy Birthday Stephenson.
  23. saw that, it was funny as hell.
