well said. It is not about taking the rights away from the LGBT community, its about protecting the rights of those that do not want to violate their religious beliefs to kowtow to others beliefs. No customer should be denied service because of their beliefs, and no business should be persecuted for theirs. No restaurant should be forced to stop serving pork because it offends the religious beliefs of Muslims. No customer should be refused service because they are gay. If a business started to refuse service to a customer because they were LGBT, or some other religious reason, they would end up losing a lot of their customer base. They will not last long. On the other hand, to try and run a company out of business because of their religious beliefs is wrong too. It goes both ways people.

When I was at Ft. Bliss, I was driving down the road when an individual came around the corner and ran me off the road. Unfortunately for him, I was in an MP car. I quickly swung around and hit the lights and pulled him over. I approached the driver cars window and my partner watched from the passenger side rear. I asked for his license, registration, and Military ID. It was night so I was holding my flashlight in my right hand. It was one of them 6 cell MAG lights. As the driver was looking for his license, I saw some metal glinting back at me from under the arm rest. I asked the individual to step out of the car, and he looks at me weird. I opened the door, and turned my hand sideways to be better able to hit the individual with my flashlight if need be and command him to exit the car. When he steps out of the car, I grabbed his collar and push him up against the car. My partner comes around the car and asks me "What the fuck are you doing"? I tell my partner to watch him, reach into the car, and pull a 357 magnum out from under the armrest. I open the cylinder and see its loaded with hollow points. When the guy driving the car sees the gun, he starts shaking. turned out the car was his friends and he had just borrowed it. He did not know the gun was there. Now in Texas, it is legal to openly carry, but not on a Military Base. The gun was concealed below the armrest. the man cooperated with us, so we did not ruin his military career. We unloaded the weapon, put the weapon in the trunk and the bullets in the glovebox. The traffic stop could have gone entirely different if his hand had gone near the weapon. I had learned a valuable lesson that night. NEVER carry my flashlight in my right hand. I am right handed. We want to go home at night just as much as they do. To insure your safety, do what the Officer tells you to do. You make him feel easier and it will help a lot. I have attended many funerals where the Officer was shot and killed by someone who was carrying a concealed weapon, though not always legally. We had an old saying in the MP's. Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.

I have done a few things like that when I was in the Army. We once duct taped a guy ion his bed while he was sleeping. From the neck down. It was funny. Needless to say he was late for morning formation. We had a guy that fell asleep during an NCO training course. The instructor was not amused. He didn't change the pitch of his voice but kept right on talking. He instructed us to pick up our books and quietly leave the room. He was the last one out and shut the lights off. After a minute, and the dumb idiot still sleeping in the classroom, the instructor banged on the door hard. Twenty seconds later the guy came running out of the classroom. We had a very good laugh at his expense. He never fell asleep in class again.

Indeed they are. They should be hunted down and exterminated. If they kill one GI or a family member, I am going into hunter killer mode.

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who left his post in Afghanistan in 2009 and was held captive by the Taliban for five years, was charged Wednesday with desertion and endangering fellow soldiers, commanders said. Bergdahl faces life imprisonment if convicted of the most serious charge, misbehavior before the enemy by endangering the safety of a command, unit or place, Col. Daniel J. W. King, a spokesman for the U.S. Army Forces Command, said in a news conference at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Bergdahl faces five years behind bars for the second charge, desertion with intent to shirk Important or hazardous duty, King said. The charges will next be considered in a preliminary Article 32 hearing, similar to a grand jury, that will decide whether there is enough evidence to merit a court martial, King said. That hearing will take place at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The hearing officer's recommendations will be forwarded to a commander who will decide whether the case warrants a court martial, should be dismissed, or deserves "any other action deemed appropriate," King said. Bergdahl was released last year in a controversial prisoner exchange for five Taliban commanders held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. NBC News first reported in January that Bergdahl was likely to be charged with desertion. The Army also had the option of filing the lesser charge of going absent without leave, or AWOL. The military began investigating after Bergdahl was repatriated and returned to Fort Sam Houston, where he was given a desk job. Investigators questioned Bergdahl for two days last summer. The main question is not whether he is innocent or guilty, everyone knows he is guilty. The question is whether they will go through with a Court martial or not.

Need more info Norris. What operating system are you using? Is this happening only in DOD? Do you play other games on Steam and are they working or are you having the same problem with them? ASlso would like to know what you are using for an anti virus, just in case its a firewall problem that is causing it.

Always good to talk to dad. there are a lot of perverts out there and they do have to be comfortable. Tell the child that he should NEVER tell anyone where he lives. He should NEVER give his real name either. Better safe than sorry when it comes to protecting the kids.

Veterans have to look out for each other. Our Government is doing such a poor job of it.

The voting is over, right? Britton won this honor (cough cough) last night, didn't he?

sad but true. I see it too often at the VA myself. I see the torment in their eyes. I hear some of their stories. I listen because the Doctors don't always. I give support and advice because the VA doesn't always. I care because I am a VETERAN.
