  2. Position on the conflict between Ukraine and Russia

    Well what is your opinion about it?

    I have some questions:

    Do you think that the west supported the maid an movement, like financing it

    Do you think that this regime change of an democratically elected leader was legal?

    What do you think about the anti Russian changes the maidan government wanted to implement right after they got into power?

    Did you hear that the police and protesters have been shoot by the same ppl from the same building?

    do you think that it's OK to bomb and shell cities because of the separatist?they did the same that the maidan movement did in Kiev Like occupy government buildings.when gadaffi did bomb his cities because of rebels he was internationally isolated and going down... if the Kiev government does it.. nobody says something.

    I do believe Russia supports the Donbass rebels but I also think the west does the same with the new government. And I believe that if Russia would not have secured the Ukraine bases in Crimea there would have been much more dead ppl than the under 10 dead ppl they had. Also this wasnt an invasion as russia always had over 30.000 troops there. It would have seen the same civil war that Donbass is facing. I really think that the 80+ percent in Crimea that have Russian roots did the right thing here. And to tell them to just move to Russia is stupid as their families lived there longer than Ukraine exists in its current form. It's their soil and they should be able to decide their own fate. Just like the Kosovo was able too.

    But I have a big fear that some ppl really want a big war and do anything to provoke it. Like right after Minsk 2 new sanctions. I saw videos of police in maidan burning because of molotov cocktails and they did not shoot back. Then Both sides get shoot and everything spirals into this... or I saw a video of Poroschenko after the Minsk 1 saying they were at 20 percent readiness with vehicles and material before the truce and brought it too 100 percent during that truce.and now they want a second truce when 5009 to 8000 soldiers where encircled in debaltseve. I don't think that he is a person that can be trusted.

    Ukraine should just grand Donbass an own federal government with its own state laws. That's the only way there will be peace. The seperatists will fight until Donbass has its old oblast borders.

    Well... might two cents could be a little confused in order here. I'm writing during break on cell phone.

    As i joined the Unit before this "Conflict" and do not know the Members of the 6th RB i can only say i think its always good to give a second chance. And as sayed before... the DOD:S Community is small enough even without banning each other ^^

    BTW Arsenault.... since when where "Good News" from the Professor really "Good News" ?? ^^ Its more like "Good news you will take a delivery to an alien infested abandoned Space Station"-News

    Some things the Russian People are worryed about:

    1. They get more and more surrounded by NATO/US Bases (see Picture above)

    2. Ukraine and Georgia trying to become NATO Members Source1Source2

    3. Buildup of a US Missile Defense System in the EU that maybe would shift the Balance of Power so that a Nuclear War might look winable Source

    4. Russia suspended the "Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe" because of that Missile System Source

    5. After the collapse of the Soviet Union they ended their long range Bomber Patrols, but as the rest kept doing it they resumed in 2007 Source

    6. The US is also doing flights in International Air Space, why shouldnt Russia (or any other country) have the same right?

    7. They get openly attacked in the media without evidence, MH17 for example. before anything was researched:

    While russia did a

    showing their evidence with radar pictures and everything... Nato did not show any real Proof.

    A few days ago we had a discussion on Vent regarding wheter or not shooting someone on your Property for stealing stuff was ok. And most americans stated, "Well you never know what they planed to do, why take the risk." So imagine it the other ways around. How would you feel with russia Bases in Cuba, Canada and Mexico with all these Countrys trying to build a new PACT. Wouldnt you feel threatend?

    Also calling a nuclear Power a "Regional Power" might have cracked their ego ^^ Source

    As far i am seeing it our Politicans want a war or are too stupid to see that the way they are travelling will result in a war. It seems they forgot History...

    As a german the war against a nuclear Russia will most likly be something like this

    i wonder if you can Help me with a strange issue im having on our public Server sometimes.

    It does seem as if Hits just wont register.

    Background Info:

    Country: Germany

    Normal Ping: 110-130

    LERP: 100

    Settings:

    Example of Error:

    Map: de_colonia

    Weapon: Garand

    Enemy: Soldier with back towards me

    Range: 10-15 meters

    Shoots: 5

    Hits: 0

    Situation:

    I was standing with a Garant behind a non Moving target Maybe 10-15 Meters a way. He was standing behind counter watching the steps to cellar, i was coming from behind in the room with the hole on the far left side viewed from the allied spawn. I took 5 shoots without moving and did not hit once (He startet moving around third shoot).

    Other:

    Sometimes i am so close to someone that he fills my entire middle screen, shoot with k98 without moving and do not hit.

    This is extremly annoying as i usually see enemys first and get the first shot, but even if im sure its a good shot i dont hit.

    I use the dynamic crosshair, so with good shoot i mean a shoot at medium distance on a non moving target with a unscoped rifle with steady/small dynamic crosshair.

    If you have any Ideas on improving this i would be glad.

    My Second Problem is more biological ;)

    Im color-blind with a red/green weakness, sometimes i dont see my crosshair very well with changing background, you dont have any info on what is a good setting for colorblinds?
