  1. Altho I am a Canadian, my father has been living in the states for like 15 years now and I have been there often. For your first question, it's hard not to point out to the constitution, since it is a right guarentied by it and that everytime they talk about restricting that right, people go and stock up on guns and ammo. The US constitution was written in a revolutionary background and was therefor important for the general population to be armed for the eventuality that they had to defend themselves. The constitution revolving around the citizen, their property is something they have the right to defend. After that it really is part of the culture and for your second question, I will make a comparison with the Canadian way. In Canada, when someone breaks into your home, your duty is to flee. If you harm the trespasser in any way without them putting your life at risk, he can (and will) sue you and win. It makes so that robbers usually don't break in with guns, since they know they can't be harm and will only provide material for the people they are breaking into. In the US, robbers that break into a house well know that the people inside might (and have a high probability to) be armed; they will therefor bring weapons and result way more often in violence. It's really a cultural difference.
  2. Name: mfukerw/oattitude Steam I.D: STEAM_0:1:90920683 Reasons for the Ban: Shovelled a teammate to death twice, got warned, tked Pfc. Almeida in spawn with a sniper then left. Recommended duration of ban: As MP see fit Demo Provided?: No, but Pfc. Almeida was there (obviously)
  3. That childhood moment when I still thought an untouched tower couldn't magically freefall
  4. Well maybe the stereotype of swedish men having intercourse with sheeps is just a local thing ^^
  5. First I thought there wasn't enough sheep to be a Swedish party, then I remembered there was a goat; a goat too many >.<
  6. It's a game I am surely going to buy once it's a few months old so it is patched and cheaper. The main problem I had with HoI3 was that it was so complicated (took me 10h just to kind of know how to play), but I heard they made HoI4 more userfriendly. I must also say that Paradox Studio make the best games ever
  7. The thing is, you're at the doorstep of a country which has one of the largest army in the world, allied and doing joint operations with Russia (and potentially China). Risking an escalation to show your balls isn't the wisest of things. I believe restraint in such cases are is the sign of a good commander.
  8. Name: Young Sinatra Steam I.D: [U:1:53351807] Reasons for the Ban: Got accidentally tked and decided to revenge on about 10-15 team mates before leaving. Recommended duration of ban: 1 day since he's quite new to the game Demo Provided?: N
  9. I think Valve has an issue with 3s
  10. Name: |$m0k!n|-Jango- Steam I.D: STEAM_0:0:43634388 Reasons for the Ban: Joined the server, walked up to me, tked me then left quickly Recommended duration of ban: 2 days, to give him a chance to see that he was banned Demo Provided?: N
  11. Must agree with you there Hill; the more I look into it, the more it looks staged. The part that makes me doubt the most is the purge of what, about 3 000 juges, including 10 from supreme court. There's no way they found evidence to lock them all up over night :p.
  12. I don't but I'm thinking of installing it for the next time I go hiking with my nephew; he loves Pokemon and I think the woods/hills would be better than the city to do it.
  13. I hope not; iv'e spent a year in Germany and the turkish population makes up about 10% of their population (concentrated in certain regions it bring it up a lot) and they have a lot of issues with them not learning the language and culture. The country being the major player in the EU, it's no wonder they refuse to open up the gates. Anyway, I would want nothing to do with a country responsible with ISIS uprising (oops I'm next to the US, nevermind that ^^).
  14. I`m normally for democracy, but in this case I must say Erdogan was really driving the country to the cliff
  15. Thanks for sharing :). I only find ones in the US on the web sites; are there any in Canada?
  16. Name: Ganonham Steam I.D: STEAM_0:0:50130150 Reasons for the Ban: Was 0 - 16 and decided to tk me twice then left when I called him out. Recommended duration of ban: 1 day; it's the second time he plays on our server so let's just pass a message. Demo Provided?: N but 1stSgt. Cannon was there
  17. OMG I must try this Apple Cobbler! Do you use white or brown sugar? As for cigars, I really do enjoy them but my problem is that a smoking a whole one by myself is a bit too much, that's why a good alternative would be smoking a pipe, even tho it's a bit trickier. Great job to everyone, with a special mention to Candy that pieces everything together 8)
  18. UHAUL can really screw you over. Last year when I moved, I booked with UHAUL 2 months prior and 2 weeks before the date we called and they said there were no guaranty that we would have our truck, so we booked with Blue Pelican instead and had one of the best service ever. Even when we picked up the truck, we crossed a woman panicking because UHAUL called her the morning of the moving to tell her she didn't have the truck anymore, so Blue Pelican brought over a truck from 50 miles away to help her. My big scare was on the way to where I now live. Coming from the city where everything is square and flat, we moved north and took the worst possible route. On our GPS it saved us like 10 minutes, but I swear I aged a few years during that trip. We passed through very tight and curvy roads in the hills and thank god my step brother was driving because he was able to drive at the very border of the road so we wouldn't hit the cars coming the opposite way, even tho from my seat it seems we were off the road. Next time ill use the highway, it's longer but I won't put my life on the line haha. The best thing when moving is to have people with you to help out; you never know how some people they know might even save your ass. The second best thing would be to have equipment, like straps and such (a truck, when you don't get screwed over at the last minute ^^) because it can really avoid some possible injuries, so the extra bucks are worth it ;).
  19. It's by becoming a father that I truly understood mine. I feel lucky he is still alive but since he moved to Alaska 2 years ago we don't talk much, which I might regret in the long run. Happy Father's day to all, father and son alike.
  20. Bf 1942 was my favourite game of all time, but EA killed it a year ago
  21. This will be my... 11th Battlefield game >.<
  22. Looks great, but did I really see people parachute O.O?
