  1. Ok, so I will join in: 1) Me, playing for our local Softball Team some years ago. Although I live in Germany we have a professional Baseball Club here, playing German's first league and being German champion 4 times: 2) Job and passion: Selling fire trucks and turntable ladders to firefighters all over the world: 3) Voluntary Fire Brigade: House fire some years ago and I was squad leader on the turntable ladder.
  2. See you had a great time! Denmark is on our family holiday list, so one day...
  3. Hi Flores. Thanks for your feedback. Well, the newest GE's will not be must have option, cause with wife and family time is the limit... And it's very limited. So now that I want to get better in DoDS playing more games is just optional and I have also older games only list that I want to play which are out of reach with my actual PC. So what about the Intel or AMD discussion? Same for Nvidia and ATI? Is there are difference? Better prices? Better drivers? Better compatibility? So many questions.... Thanks Markus
  4. Name: Markus Asal Rank: Pvt. Type of issue: Hardware Brief Description of Issue: Hello comrades, to make things short: I think about buying a new PC system... ... or just upgrade to Win10 and buying a new GPU. And I know asking for support in such a complex questions is not easy to answer. Right now I own a HP PC system with the main specs: - CPU = Intel i5 3,2GHz - RAM = 8GB DDR3 - GPU = Intel HD4600 - OS = Win7 Pro 64bit - Keyboard/Mouse = Trust GXT (both brand new cause my Logitech G Mouse broke after 2 years) - Monitor = LG E2251 (I want to keep it cause it already has HDMI input) I attached a CPU-Z report which shows hopefully all relevant data for you tech pros. So not a real Gaming PC. And to be honest: I also don't need a real Gaming PC nor do I have the money for a high level system. But it would be nice to make some steps up especially with a SSD for the OS part, the GPU and the upgrade to Win10. My mainboard is a special micro size version build into a small PC case. That means I can't build a new GPU straight into the existing case. And to be honest I have no plan what hardware is up to date etc. I thought about buying a prebuilt system from one of the well known online sites (well known in Germany - I can't tell for ROW): - PC One - Mindfactory - Alternate My planned budget is around 700 EURs for the system without monitor/keyboard/mouse. As an example I chose this one: https://www.one.de/one-gaming-pc-advanced-an03-ryzen-nvidia-individuell-zusammenstellen CPU = AMD® Ryzen 5 1600 (6 x 3.20 GHz / 3.60 GHz) RAM = 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR4 SDRAM 2666 MHz HD = 120 GB SSD WD Green 3D NAND + 1 TB HDD WD Blue GPU = NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER 4 GB GDDR6 KFA² EX Mainboard = ASUS Expedition EX-A320M-GAMING OS = Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64Bit On the linked site the configuration can be changed e.g. GPU, CPU etc. with the shown plus and minus prices in EUR. Unfortunately there seems no way to change the website to English, bit I think the products are multilingual... Or does it make sense with my existing gear to transfer it 1:1 to a new bigger case and just add a new GPU? And probably set the PC up knew with Win10 Home. And to complete the picture what do I use my PC for: 1) Web surfing 2) Gaming What do I play atm: DoD:S , DoD, Company of Heroes, Half Life 1+2... so quite old stuff What woulöd I like to play; DoD:S, RBI Baseball 20, Post Scriptum, Hell Let Loose and some titles I got free on EPIC... so no brand new stuff and e.g. for DoD:s more FPS the better it is... Any help, comments or thoughts will be highly appreciated. Manx thanks and greetings from Germany Pvt. 5. Found teherror myself. I had different WAV files in sound folder and in my custom sound folder so both sounds seem to play at the same time.
  6. Name: M. Asal Rank: Rec. Type of issue: (Software, Hardware, Steam, Not sure); Not sure Brief Description of Issue: *Salute* Dear Comrades, being the new Recruit here I hope you don't mind bothering you with a question. Playing DOD:S often brings up sound problems. Some ingame sounds start to sound crackly, high pitched... really hard to describe. Strangely enough that's not always the case... One sound which really sounds defect is when sticking on a rifle grenade e.g. on M1 or K98. It's not server realated, unfortunately I have the issue on the MRB public server too. And it seams not to be hardware related I think: My standad sound card is an integrated Intel chip. And I also have a SoundBlaster Tactical Alpha headset which brings it's own soundcard and the issue appears using both devices. I already tried all 3 audio quality ingame setting, but nothing changes if the problem appears. I also listed to the Sound files itself and they are all good when played in Explorer e.g. using VLC. I have to say that I'm using a weapon sound mod but as I said the file itself sound Thanks in advance and *Salute* Rec. M. Asal
