New comp has the case of covid. LOL
Marsden 1st MRB replied to R. Smith 1st MRB's topic in The Slope Chute
Also make sure that you don't have any jumpers crossed on the board and attempt using the boards USB ports directly instead of the front ports. It is possible that the front port isn't reading due to the board only having base drivers in play. Boot device order: USB Optical Disk After your first time set up is complete change it to reverse that order. Also when you go into bios to select the boot device does it show the name of your USB device and HDD or does it just say USB .... I know it's detecting your HDD as the system is able to get to BIOS and if it was failing Post you wouldn't even get that far -

Time out errors
Marsden 1st MRB replied to Oake 1st MRB's question in Day of Defeat: Source Questions
Sorry for the super long gap in response. @Oake 1st MRB are you on a wired or wireless connection? If on Wireless would you be able to attempt a wired connection to rule out interference as a source of the issue? -

Is this issue ongoing still or has it resolved Keller? Were you ever able to revalidate your steam files? And when at home are you on a wired or wireless connection? -
Any update available for this as of yet?

Ban Request: You already know who it is
Marsden 1st MRB replied to The Batman BAR's topic in Day of Defeat: Source
Second offense. Banned Two Weeks unless Chief of MP's feels this warrants a more extended ban. -
Well when we do realisms you only live once, so yes. But in the public server we have unlimited respawns as the public srver is not a realism match <3 But if you are asking for general configuration wise there is a way to set a server to end the round/map after one team gets X number of kills, not quite the same as limited number of lives but it is the closest the source engine has available.

unplug your modem for 20 minutes, plug back in, should get new IP
-
I have removed your IP from the ban list already; we will look into it with the server provider and attempt to determine what additional steps may be available as it seems like for whatever reason their infrastructure is not even responding to requests originating from your IP address
-
It's definately something with the way the router is handling the data; as if itwas IP related it would persist on your direct to modem connection; this is super strang
-
Do you by chance have any custom Name Servers assigned in your DNS routing or potentially anything custom set within your computers Hosts file? These can both cause issues with server name/ip address resolution which can in turn effect the route your data takes causing connections to fail. Just a thought, not certain if it would be the case. If you don't know what the opening question above means, odds are you don't have it set in a weird custom way lol

New PC build need help!
Marsden 1st MRB replied to R. Smith 1st MRB's question in Hardware Guides & Maintenance Questions
Just double checked and I'd really recommend going with the second MoBo for the intel build, the RAM I listed may have problems with the first board, and the second board can utilize more RAM than the first one can, as well as being cheaper than the first one. @R. Smith 1st MRB -

What is the generation of the current CPU you are running? -
I would start with uninstalling Discord, deleting the referenced AppData Folder at teh Discord Root (so go to .\AppData\Local and delete the folder titled "Discord"). Restart the computer and process any updates (I'd recommend checking for Java updates specifically) and then re-install Discord. Let me know how that works out for you.

Have you verified your steam game files from properties in the steam library? Does the issue occur on any other steam games (specifically in games on the Source engine)? -
Additional point for you Wulgaert: Our list of admins which clearly shows that Scinta is not an admin, and has never been an admin on our server, so I'm not sure how he could have abused said admin. Additional point for review: The only reason you were never trusted with admin is outbursts like this and the tendencies you are currently displaying of flying off the handle when you perceive things to not go your way. Had you remained in the unit and demonstrated a progression in your maturity level you would have eventually gained admin. As you stated you did not team wound (I know because I dove the logs on the server for the time of the incident out of respect of your request). But you did specifically aim to start an argument that did not need to be had in the server that detracted from gameplay and created a scene. And then when corrective action was applied to prevent the conversation from devolving further you decided to dodge the admin action instead of waiting out the mute and taking the conversation to a more appropriate avenue (e.g. discord [which you still have access to], steam [which you still have members on your contacts]). As you did dodge the admin action I am going to overrule the MP chief and apply a week ban for dodging admin. Please take this time to learn from your mistake and stop repeating them. If you do not feel you can handle such an advanced emotional exercise, please find a new server to play on. Final point for your review: You are correct, some of us [myself included] don't really like playing with you, however out of respect to the fact you are allowed to enjoy yourself we have not pursued removing you from our server. In fact, the very admin you accuse of admin abuse has defended you on multiple occaisions when it has been brought up that you are stirring up a negative environment in the public server. Thank you for your time, and here are the log citations so you know I'm not full of shit: The job of our admins is to ensure that the server and it's voice chat remain a jovial environment with joking and fun where people can avoid the stressors of the real world. Coming in and trying to stir the pot and start fights is the opposite of that so your PRIVELLEGE of VoIP was rescinded. By choosing not to wait our the admin action you CHOSE to be banned. Have a nice evening, and a better week..

Ban Report :: 30yr old man
Marsden 1st MRB replied to Fielding 1st MRB's topic in Military Police Archives - DoD:S
Due to ban request reviewing provided demos with the following commands: ] r_drawstaticprops 0 ] r_drawdetailprops 0 ] r_drawothermodels 2 ] r_drawworld 2 ] r_drawmodelstatsoverlaydistance 99999999 ] r_drawmodelstatsoverlaymax 5.0 ] r_drawmodelstatsoverlaymin 0 Review of oldman.dem While all of these appear a bit on the suspicious side, everything looks suspicious with wireframe enabled. All of these instances can be explained with game sense from hours logged. The suspicious pre-nades and pre-firing observed is more encountered on common positions people occupy on the map, an the oppurtunites where you would normally expect a waller to wait and line up the shot for where they are going to step out (sitting in the ruins waiting for axis players to step out of backalley or fields for example) I did not see any instances of shots actually being lined up and ready to go before players were actually visible on review of the demo with/without wireframe. There was one instance where he seemed to take a shot at someone in the darkwindows house behind axis 2nd that he couldn't of seen but when re-watching it appears he was actually firing at and missing Flores who was on the mainstreet. Crafton will review this again and take a look at the ticks I have called out. Additional admin review would be appreciated. Remember guys, innocent until proven guilty in this scenario even though we already banned him. Think of the ban as preventive measure taken due to his VA ban history. I may or may not find time to review oldman23. -

Hand full of things available to try and limit intermittent disconnects on a semi-public connection: Go wired if you can (will ensure you are not competing with others on the wifi as wired clients are automatically signed a higher priority by the router) and it eliminates wireless interference and the native fluctuation of ping and packet loss that is just part of transmitting data through the air. Run the following three commands in CMD: ipconfig /release ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /renew Should help to reset your connection data and ensure that your computer is only using the route information provided by the current network and eliminate your computer locally doing anything wonky -
Banned 1 month as is retroactive and user has no prior ban history and the use was the colloquial slurs. If user rejoins they are to be advised that repeat use of any form of racial slurs will result in a permanent ban.
