Ok so ive been planning on joining the USMC for a long time, well my 17th birthday is in 27 days and im quite literally counting them down. cuz on the 28th im going to enlist and DEP in. I hope it goes smoothly cuz its getting closer by the day

Good luck brother. Have fun sleeping at attention and staying up listening to people screw up their post on firewatch when you get there (Recruit: Sir this recruit reports 98 recruits all secure, 98 rifles all secure, 98 footballs all sec.../Drill Instructor: What, What?! What the fuck, we got footballs now?!?!?/Recruit: Ahh, no..no sir this recruit meant to say footlockers/Drill Instructor: Your staying up all god damn night until you find me a football!) lol. 2nd bn Hotel Co. is where it's at ;)

Haha good luck Frantz, one of my favorite memories from boot camp was listening to the guy in the rack above me, get snatched out of his rack and put on firewatch, and proceed to recite the Cooks Creed for 4 hours at the top of his lungs. Or the other time, when a fellow recruit of mine and myself were on watch, filling out paperwork, and the DI told him to enter and exit the DI Duty Hut like a duck. You'll hate it for a while, but eventually you'll realize that shit gets so ridiculous it's hilarious.

Ah you'll be alright. Just remember, everything has to stop sometime. Try and be a leader, it'll be in your benefit to try and be an outstanding recruit amongst your peers!

Are you going to West or East Coast? and if West, let me know so I can stop by and see ya graduate!

Ill be going to East coast. Paris Island SC. I want to MOS in Force Recon. do that for a few years then do Scout Sniper. Hardcore jobs, but i dont want to do them just for the respect earned for becoming apart of them, i want to do those thing because Ill make a difference and save lives that wont have to be lost in the years to come.

      MARINE CORPS ENLISTMENT OFFICE Camp Pendleton, CA   RECRUITMENT LETTER     Hello Paul Smith, Thank you for taking interest in joining the 1st Marine Raider Battalion.   During your trial period the following will occur: Once accepted as a Recruit, you will remain as a Recruit for 2 weeks from the day of your acceptance until the next BCT Class is offered. During your time as a recruit, it is highly encouraged to play within the Public Server and join Discord with our other members. Upon acceptance, you will be contacted by one of our DIs when the next available BCT is scheduled via the appropriate Discord channel.   We have a BCT class every two weeks. Please keep an eye out for when the next one is made available once you've completed your time requirements!   Upon stating that you understand all the information here, an admin will change your forum name and login to be :   P.
