Okay so if you are aware of how cameras work, or even if you aren't here is a small explanation.

In layman's terms, the lens opens up, allowing light to come through and be "burned" onto either film or a digital memory card, thus creating the picture you see later. This technology has pretty much stayed unchanged for the past 400 years. You get the image you take, and have been "stuck" to how it turned out with limited abilities to edit it later.

This new technology has a completely new take on what we know about cameras. It takes pictures with a light field sensor, capturing all of the light it sees, allowing infinite re-focusing of the picture later on.

Just go through the gallery and click on different places in the pictures.

No that isn't a computer program changing the focus, it is actual pictures captured with this new technology.

Pretty damn awesome if you ask me.

Yes, that company Lytro is the one who developed the camera. They are currently taking reservations for people interested in purchasing them, but I would imagine it is rather expensive.
