Got my new reel in the mail yesterday:

It's a Shimano Stradic CI4. By far the best reel I have ever purchased. Replacing my outdated Abu Garcia Reel.

Not sure if there are any fellow fisherman in the unit but I figured I'd share my excitement anyway.

And yes, I realize I spelled stoked incorrectly, it's early and I'm still half asleep...

I like both Shimano and Abu equally but I really love Pflueger. I have about 20 baitcasting reels with a mix of shimano, abu and pflueger and about 15 spinning reels of the same. Idk if you have ever bout a quantum reel but i think they suck ballzzzz same goes for daiwa products ick.

Yeah, my brother has Pflueger President, it's a pretty nice reel.

I stick with Abu or Shimano. I'm putting this reel on my Gloomis rod in a few minutes then hitting the river to tackle some sharks.

Nice!

I fished like crazy as a kid. Growing up by a lake with only 1 friend your age living 1.5 miles away will do that, it helped keep me busy.

I got a little addicted to ultra-light rods however; that was all we used in Wyoming for trout fishing in the streams on my grandpa's ranch. I had an Abu Garcia as well and it held up like a champ. In fact, it's still on my rod, and still at my parents house. I still use it when I go fishing when I visit.

I miss having a place to go so close... in Chicago all they have are these little ponds that everyone around here calls 'lakes'. You could skip a rock from one side to the other on some of these 'lakes'.

Very cool looking reel - I was just checking into possibly getting a new rod/reel since my rod is probably 20 yrs + old, and my reel is probably 15 yrs +

      MARINE CORPS ENLISTMENT OFFICE Camp Pendleton, CA   RECRUITMENT LETTER     Hello Paul Smith, Thank you for taking interest in joining the 1st Marine Raider Battalion.   During your trial period the following will occur: Once accepted as a Recruit, you will remain as a Recruit for 2 weeks from the day of your acceptance until the next BCT Class is offered. During your time as a recruit, it is highly encouraged to play within the Public Server and join Discord with our other members. Upon acceptance, you will be contacted by one of our DIs when the next available BCT is scheduled via the appropriate Discord channel.   We have a BCT class every two weeks.
