A little updating!

I'm not a computer wiz, geek, nerd ya. My computer is a little old, and I would like to upgrade it just a bit to start out. Ex. Video Card, maybe Ram. Err. If I'm missing specs, tell me, I'm using google to help me <3

OS: 32 Bit Win7 Home Prem.

Processor: Intel® Core 2 DUO CPU

RAM: 4 Gigs

Video Card: ATI Radeon 4600 Series

If Im missing anything, ask and Ill figure it out. Id like to stick to ATI.

This all depends on 1 thing: your budget.

Is it a computer that someone built, or that is braded (like Dell, HP, etc)?

Here are a couple of programs that will help you know EXACTLY what you have:

First priority - New video card - If you want ATI, go with a 6850.

Next priority, if possible - new cpu and motherboard - 1st make sure you are using DDR3 memory (CPU-Z will tell you).

I'd look at the new Intel i5 (not the k, because you don't seem like much of an overclocker). I'd probably steer your towards the i5 2300. Its a good choice, and at a good price. 200 mhz doesn't make a huge amount of difference these days, unless you are going up to the ~4ghz+ range.

Here is a solid motherboard for a new processor. Intel pretty much needs a new motherboard for every generation of cpu they come out with.

If you need new DDR3 ram, only get 4 GB. Because you are using the 32 bit version of Windows, you can only use ~3.2 GB of RAM. If you have the option of going to 64, get 8 GB. Its just really cheap right now. But 4 is good.

I was hoping you were the first one to look at this..(SHHH NO ONE KNOWS)

It was custom built, all parts were from New Egg. The motherboard is a ASUS P5Q-PRO though, and if the DDR is in "Memory" under "Type" it says DDR2. I really just want to update it just a bit, not looking to fully go into it all. If all those upgrades it by at least x2 where I can at least run BF3 a little better and get more FPS on CS:S (TWL) it'd be great. If you need the GPU its Radeon HD 4670.

Go with the video card upgrade and call it good. The C2D is a good cpu. But in order to upgrade it, you'll need motherboard, cpu and RAM. Minimum of $300. Go video card.

Its mainly I just want to update it, I think my brother built this comp in like 07 or 08. I'm deff. going to stick to that CPU, but maybe a different Video Card/Motherboard. Just so it, again can run BF3 better. It says I can't even run it on Min. due to my video card. Plus I want more FPS, 32/32 DM D2 on CSS I can get a max of 430 FPS <3

Aside from the ones I already provided... well, here is one for good RAM. If you can move to Windows 7 64-bit, I would do it. You could then use 8 GB of RAM, which is dirt cheap right now. I think the "upgrade" may be doable through a very simple disc switch. Check to see what you have. You would have to reformat.

Alright! My video card is in and what not. Sadly my power supply box thing didn't have the 6 Pin stuff so I had to go get these connectors and st00fs. But Wed I'm getting a new power supply. The clock thing was set at 790 so I moved it to 800. Hopefully that shouldn't cause any problems? Its running at 42c(107F) and it says its fine and its been a hour now. I played Sim City 4 and a bit of CS:S and it stayed there.
