Chicago Bears Game - Yes Please!

So, my fiancee teaches at the school down the street and works her ass off there. She deals with lots of little twerps and their annoying parents who think school should be the place their kids go if they feel like it (it's a rich area, so if the kids are 'too tired', their pansy parents let them stay home).

Well, there is something called the Chicago Hero award (or something like that) where Chicago honors teachers who go above and beyond the usual duty. Her principal sent in for her to receive this award and she won. I think there are only like 12 winners a year - so it's a pretty cool deal. The letter her principal wrote was really an impressive way to write about her (as if the multiple board salutes she gets every year and personal recognition the Super Intedant gives her at district meetings wasn't enough!)

She got 2 free tickets to the Bears game, $1000 for her classroom and some other cool benefits (apparently a pre-game sideline experience, a jersey with her name on it, recognition on the jumbo-tron before the game and more I think). They showed up at her school and she got the award on this past Thursday.

I'm pretty stoked for her, she busts her ass all the time and it's cool to see her recognized in such a huge way. She totally deserves it - this will be my first professional game of any sport I've ever been to outside of motocross!

Yea, great seats, pregame on the field... it's going to be one helluva day!
