LOL... this makes no sense i can play bad company 2 and new games perfect without lag or choppiness on full graphics, l4d2.. all those.. soon as i get into dods its like its shit again worse then my old pc.. makes no sense at all i should be playing this game max graphics and getting like 200 fps and i get only 40fps i think this game is just shit in general perhaps lol... There is NO reason at all for this...

How on earth does this pc play dods like garbage on low graphics... but any new age game runs so smooth and perfect on max graphics it makes no sense. Maybe my pc is too good for dods and it is being a hater. any ideas? i really shouldnt have to nerf the graphics and it still play like shit on dods.. should be maxed and flawless...

It could also be that you allowed Windows Uopdate to detect your drivers.... not a good idea.

Everything should be updated and installed its only dods that does this... but ill humor you and check is there a way to check if my chipset is updated to newest driver? im guessing device manager. unless theres a easier way to check. i know my card and everything is updated i bought this peice by peice and had them install everything etc.. but then again they could have just installed via the cd and never checked for updates... but its just strange how its only dods a game thats like 10 years old.. and nothing else bad company 2 runs flawlessly it doesnt bother me that much cuz i dont play dods a whole lot these days with all these next gen games coming out woot woot bf3! but its still nice to come back and frag with everyone. i shouldnt have to sacrifice graphics for gameplay theres no reason for this with my pc but ill check my chipset like you suggested Dillion.

P.S how do i turn this off "Windows Update to detect your driversÈ

Checked everything is up to date. really makes no sense lol that a game 10 years old is getting 40 fps with my computer. specially when bc2 and new age games runs flawlessly.. whatevs really.

Yah, i think source is just not liking new age tech since its old as hell few my friends said they had the same issues doesnt matter anyways once bf3 comes out =] bout time to retire source or least put it in a old mans home.

If its only with DODS, then it is probably a DODs configuration issue. What are your settings? If you can take a screenshot, that'd help enormously. Go to both graphics and advance button on graphics. Then get an in-game screenshot, post it up, and we'll see what we can do.
