Not Carlyle...

Burkie fired Ron Wilson and hired Randy Carlyle. We have an excellent coach in the minors right now named Dallas Eakins who should have got his shot at the NHL. He's a players coach who can get young talented players to work hard for him. Carlyle is a good coach but he's a dick with his players and his act wears thin after awhile. I give him 2 years. Not only that, Carlyle told the media that Lupul was a player who couldn't play for him. Lupul is now 6th in the league in points and is arguably the Maple Leafs MVP this year. What happens there? I guess Burkie made this move to salvage what's left of this 18 game season rather than going with anewbie NHL coach in Dallas Eakins. The firing of Wilson had to be done, but I'm not exactly thrilled with the hiring of Carlyle.

I lol'ed. I knew fans were going to be ecstatic when Wilson was fired, but I also knew that Carlyle would probably be hired. I find it highly amusing, the Burke giveth, and the Burke taketh.
