Resolved - DoD:S flashlight problem

Brief Description of Issue:

Hello, my problem is pretty simple, I cannot see the beam of my flashlight at all when I turn it on. I hear the sounds telling me it's on or off but can't see it. Still, I can see other's flashlights when they use it and I know that other people see my flashlight when I turn it on.

Could it be linked to new configs or autoexec.cfg I've installed short time ago? Because I remember being able to see it not so long ago.

I don't think you can see your own beam, isn't it just going to be a bright circle of light directly in front of you that illuminates the props n' stuff?

If you are using Elf's Config, or a new Autoexec for people with weak graphics cards, You wont see the light at the end of your beam. I used to use Elf's config, and this is exactly what happened to me no flashlight illumination at the end of the beam.

A lot of exec's cut it out, I believe Elf's does, as well as some of the other ones users use. It's just an unnecessary thing to get rid of in the exec to maximize your performance. You'd have to restore back to the original configs more then likely if you have a custom one.

Ok. I'll just remove Elf's config which I was using.

And yeah Major I meant that there was no light at all when I pressed "F" as Stone said it.

Alternatively, you can type "r_shadows 1" (without quotes) into the console. It fixed the problem, but is a bit of a pain, as you will have to do it every time you enter the game.
